The wrench warning light came on in my 2011 F150. Come to find out the Lead Transmission Frame is a…read morerecall item on F150's. The warranty is for 150k or 10 years. Since mine was over 10 years old Ford didn't warranty it. I took it to Ford and it would be 6 weeks to even diagnose it let alone fix it. One dealership said they wouldn't work on it since I have not bought it there and it was 10 years old. Not being from this area I needed to get it fixed before went go back north for the spring. I called Ray at Aamco and he said bring it in and they would check it out. Online it says it's a 6 hour job and expect to pay 1500-2200 for the repair. They diagnosed the problem and repaired it in a morning and the cost was less than what the Internet said by a few hundred dollars. Granted I have not driven the truck very much since the repair it seems to have fixed the problem. I am happy with it so far! I would recommend Ray and his team at Aamco in McAllen. He even offered me a ride to and from the shop while they fixed the truck.
