We never spar and we never do conditioning or anything remotely close to fighting. This is just a scam to farm money. Ive even seen the coach search boxing tutorials on his phone before class starts. I regret coming here. Never box at this gym. They expect people to get better without fighting. Absolute trash. Waste of my time. This place is just a disgrace to boxing. And sometimes they will make you do pushups and squats the whole class which is just a waste of time and you can do it at home. The coaches don't even know what to they are doing. They act so tough but this place is just such a complete waste of time and money. A few professional boxers come here and they are close friends with the coach. They don't even participate in the classes and they just practice in the back. The coach uses them to promote this boxing gym and their social media asking for a good review. Just never come here I don't even know how this is a boxing gym. They don't even help with technique. I've seen people who have terrible technique and the coach doesn't help them. All he does it sits and scrolls on his phone. You can even slack off and doing nothing all class. He won't even care. I'm so sick of this place I never even broke a sweat. Some days they might do something slightly intense but most of the time every class is just a joke. Absolutely terrible. Most of the good reviews on google are from boxers that are close or friends with the coach.

I have been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Tekniques for about 6 months now. The gym is very, very…read moredifferent than most Jiu Jitsu training facilities you will come across. The first thing I noticed when I visited was the sheer size of the place. The Jiu Jitsu area is downright gigantic! Other BJJ gyms I have visited are lucky to have 1/4 the mat space of Tekniques. The BJJ area is stocked with high quality Zebra tatmi mats, has comfortable seating, and is separated from the rest of the gym. This allows for a quiet, focused learning environment during BJJ training. The other portion of the gym contains a large tatami mat area for what Tekniques calls HIT (High Intensity Training). This class is similar to crossfit but without the hype. This area also contains a sizable Muay Thai kickboxing training area with heavy bags and appropriate mats. Other amenities include clean restrooms/changing areas and a kids' play room with a TV. Instruction at Tekniques is top notch. The adult BJJ classes are large enough to be diverse but small enough so that each person gets individual time with the instructors. Belt diversity is good - I am a white belt and am able to roll with white, blue, and purple belt practitioners every time I train. The more advanced students are more than willing to pause, answer questions, and take time to make sure you are learning the art. There are opportunities for competition, and the instructors assist students in preparing for numerous Jiu Jitsu tournaments in the area. I have a 6 year old son in the kids' BJJ program. I couldn't be more pleased. There are a LOT of kids training at Tekniques, but never so many that it's out of control. There is an appropriate student to instructor ratio. Perhaps most important (and impressive) is the care given to the safety of the students. For example, whenever the kids are training live submissions such as arm bars, the instructors are within 6 inches of the students, ready to pounce and intervene so that the student being submitted is not injured. I am very comfortable with the level of attention and safety given to my child and the other children who train there. The kids also compete in local tournaments and IBJJF sanctioned tournaments with great success. Muay Thai and HIT training is intense. The instructor is encouraging, careful, and drives the students hard. He takes time to explain the movements and exercises and will work individually with students who are having troubles. He instills a sense of teamwork, competition, and comradery in his students. Coupled with the Jiu Jitsu training, the Muay Thai and HIT classes will whip you into shape in a hurry. If you are nearby and are looking for a fun, inviting atmosphere in which to train Jiu Jitsu, HIT, or Muay Thai, then Tekniques is the place. I can't speak highly enough of the staff, my fellow students, and the environment.

On Saturday (Feb 11, 2023), I left my 6 yrs old son for parents night out at Iron Dragon Martial…read moreArt ( from 6-9pm). It was our first time leaving him there without me or his mom. When we picked him up and went home, my son informed me that one of the instructor (male-adult) was not nice to him and ask him to go back in line and lose his turn. When my son refused to do so. The instructor got angry and physically hurt my son which he pinched my son so hard from his side that made my son cry so hard and loudly. My son start screaming for help. Everybody in there heard him. The owner(Luis) told my son to go sit out for not following the rules and for refusing to listen to the instructor. My son told him the instructor hurt him but Mr. Luis said "even if the instructor hurt you, you still going to sit out for behaving this way". I cant believe they have no mercy toward a 6 yrs old child. After that my son was left alone crying at the waiting room and not allowed to join the team for a period of time. I immediately called the place and asked them to talk to Mr. luis (owner) in order to understand the situation. He was the one who answered the phone. He didn't apologized and didn't want to believe me. He said he was not there at that moment. But he told me, I can come tomorrow to review the cameras with him. He told me " We have cameras everywhere". So, I believed him and went the second day but I got informed by the same person (Luis) that all cameras were not working for that night. And because my son said that, he got terminated from this school. I feel so bad we trusted them and left our son with them. I cant believe a grown up man can do that to a child. I am extremely disappointed by the owner and his wife for removing the evidence just to cover up for the instructor which i believe he is a family member. I wish no parent has to go through this. Our children are the most important thing in our life. Please, be extra careful when you leave your children at this place or with anybody else. We can't trust nobody anymore. I do not recommend this place to anybody. They are not trust worthy.

I would recommend Iron dragon to anyone looking to start their kids in a martial arts program.
