I was training here for about 2-3 years and loved it. If you're serious about martial arts and…read morelike the idea of training in several different styles, this is the best place in the area. Sifu Alan is an intelligent, supportive, and skilled instructor. His staff are qualified professionals, and their kid programs are great without interfering with the adult classes. They have a super flexible schedule and several different levels of membership. Some might quibble that they're pricey, but you are getting what you pay for. The facility is gorgeous, and everyone there is very positive. I know I sound like a bit of a tool for saying this, but you really do get a sense of belonging while being active there. I'd encourage you to try a demo class of each of the different styles. My favorites were Jeet Kun Do and Kung Fu. As a side note, they are one of the only places in the country to teach the Keysi Fighting Method, and if you are looking for realistic combat training against multiple opponents, this is your best bet.

AMAC is more than a place to learn martial arts; it is a new found family. As a "newb" to the world…read moreof martial arts I was very intimidated to sign up, however. Let me assure you these guys and gals welcome you with open arms. I have met some of the nicest and knowledgeable people at AMAC. If you have a question, they have an answer. Any time a student is having a hard time understanding or performing, they go out of their way to assist until you have eliminated your weakness. I personally love the fact that the staff, including Sifu, will take the time to call and check on you if you have been missing class. They really do care and this is what it takes for a leader to ensure your success. AMAC truly is an ego-free environment providing the best martial arts training. If you are willing to apply yourself, you are guaranteed to succeed and the staff/senior students will make sure you do no matter what it takes. I can personally recall multiple times that I have been training and senior students drop everything they are doing in order to correct my flaws. I feel honored to be a part of AMAC.

BUT the bf does. classes are twice a week; every mon & wed from 8pm to 9pm. sometimes the classes may go overtime, depending on the lesson for that evening or if the class started a tad late. the venue is actually called "marietta martial arts". the building holds several types of martial art classes. therefore, if you come in the morning or afternoon, you might see little kids practicing taekwondo or some other fighting style. you start off with nooby level and must go through training and tests before you can advance to the next level. there are NO belts in wingchun. instead, you receive little fabric badges that you can sew onto your shirt. prices range for everyone. there is a trial where you can come and watch OR you can pay to try out the class for a week, I believe? but if you do on plan on taking the class seriously, you sign a "contract" with the payment plan you believe best fits you. the longer you stay, the cheaper it is per month.

Bought the Groupon for 10 classes and was very pleased until on our 6th class the owners wife was…read moreso inappropriate she literally tells me in front of my seven year old that if I don't take him twice a week I might as well not come back. Who does this?! She tried to lie and tell me I had to use the classes within eight weeks- she was unhappy that I was bringing my son once a week and clearly literally wanted me to blow through the classes as fast as possible to put more money in their pockets instead of Groupon. I actually had a very polite response because of the type of person I am. I explained to her & showed her there is absolutely no details in the Groupon that says I have to use the classes within 8 weeks and as a Business owner myself I would recommend her changing this on groupon. I also told her because of this, I was entitled to a refund since I obviously did not and would not be receiving the services I was promised. My son attended 6 out of 10 classes & I paid for 10. When I showed her the Groupon she knew I had caught her in a lie because I had! Even after I had to explain to her that my busy & demanding schedule doesn't allow for me to commit to come twice a week -she continued by telling me that my son would receive no benefit of attending their classes once weekly and literally said to me more than once I might as well not come back if I can't come twice a week. The entire conversation on her behalf was inappropriate to have in front of my son. I felt pressured and completely uncomfortable. I was able to receive a full refund from Groupon as their customer service is outstanding and the representative fully understood my concerns! There are plenty of places to take your children for karate that offer once a week classes. My son left upset with ME & her about not being able to come back!! She literally made me the villain in the story in front of my son that is unbelievably cruel! I believe her husband, the instructor was one of the best I've seen- very kind and had a wonderful approach with the children although his wife completely lost my business! I attached the Groupon information so everyone can clearly see there is nothing in here that says if I buy 10 classes I must use them within 8 weeks!

This place. Wow! I was super new to crossfit when I walked into this box. I used to be in amazing…read moreshape in my teens and early twenties, then had a child and felt the need to get back into shape. I immediately felt welcomed and at ease. I grew up dancing, so having a coach there telling me what to do and how to do it correctly resonated with me so well. Justin, the owner and also coaches most of the classes, and David, who does a lot of the coaching as well, were very thorough in their explanations, and do so in a way that the very beginner (like myself) and the experienced crossfitter will learn and understand. I was here a year and a half before I moved and went from little gangly Celina to, well... not! I attribute Justin's Glute Awareness Month (that turned into Glute Awareness Year ) to my win of sexiest costume at Halloween as Wonder Woman, just a year after starting ‍. Ladies, if you're worried about bulking, you won't; you'll be a toned and strong version of yourself, it's the best. Guys, if you wanna tone up and get the gains, you will. You get the results from your effort. Work hard every day, you'll see it. All in all, I recommend getting in here, eating right, listen to the coaches, eat some more good stuff, get to the box, eat good food, go workout, and do good things in life.
