I am super not into working out and was as weak as a twig when I first started. However, the coaches, especially Q, really pay attention to your form and makes sure it's correct. My snatches and deadlifts were janky AF before going here. The Performance Fitness class he teaches are similar to Crossfit. They consists of a combination of weights and high intensity interval training exercises. Richard's Kickboxing classes are also great and he teaches us different techniques frequently. The exercises are not mundane and you get a good cardio workout. My svelte figure hasn't emerged yet, but I am stronger now and look forward to working out. Woot! I don't even know who I am anymore.

I didn't realize until I was getting prequalified for a loan that Chamblee Team Octopus charged my account over $1100 and then sent the account into collections! My credit score dropped over 100 POINTS!!! And I had only been to the gym one time when I initially signed up! Shame on these people. When I called the business to inquire about this issue, they cited a 60-day notice policy to cancel and said I must pay nearly $400 to get my account out of collections. SERIOUSLY, BUYER BEWARE

Not to mention it is the top rates premiere gym in the Atlanta area. My first session went great with me learning basic boxing and kicking techniques/ combos. The coach/ owner taught the class personally. While teaching, he made sure to communicate with me personally and train me at a beginner level. I plan to train their 6 days a week, and I am looking forward to the opportunity Bangkok Boxing is giving me to grow. Facilities are state of the art, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. You get plenty value for your dollar with unlimited session Muay Thai, Fitness kickboxing, and boxing. If you do see any lower star reviews they seem to all be personal issues the person had with the gym. Nothing to do with the quality or team working there. Also most lower start reviews are from people not being able to get out of the contract once it is signed. Do net let this deter you from visiting. The owner needs to comprehend that African-American's are the main ones supporting his gym and I will not take this discrimination lightly, neither should his customers. I have plenty of Asian-American friends, so this is not a bashing moment, this is a festering boil that needs to be popped!

I signed up online and received an email response the next day. I conversed with Chad via email and a woman on the phone. They both were very nice. Additionally, Joey gave me the run down of membership during my consultation but failed to give me a tour of the place until I asked. Now on to why I give this place only 2 stars. The place is NOT sanitary, well kept or air conditioned. The treadmill has duct tape on the belt. There is one large fan cooling the room. The mats and equipment that we used during classes are not cleaned. I personally attended a boot camp and cardio boxing class. After each class of at least 10 people sweating profusely on the equipment and mats, they were simply returned to their starting location. Additionally, the initial bag that I used for cardio boxing had visible sweat/slob stains and what appeared to be white vomit stains. Boot camp was good. It started late (which seems to be a trend at this place), but it was a good and challenging workout. The instructor took time to demo each station and observed, corrected and encouraged participants throughout the workout. Cardio boxing sucked. I'm sorry but I have no other words to describe my experience. Class was supposed to start at 6:00a. We twirled a jump rope with one hand and jogged in place for over 20 minutes!! I tried to actually jump rope to get a more intense workout but Baba (the instructor) informed me to twirl the rope instead. We did not start boxing until 6:35a. Then, Baba did not demo each move (only a few) and was not motivating or encouraging. I did not know if I had correct form because he was not helpful. After the boxing portion we were to do abdominal work. It was now 7:00a, so if you actually needed to leave on time and maybe go to work, sorry you would have missed out. We did ab workouts for about 10 minutes. The restroom was semi clean, did not have any soap and the shower curtain is see-through. I wanted to attend cardio kickboxing to see how my experience would be, but honestly I don't think I'll return even though I still have a week left. FYI: * $99 down; $99/mo for cardio only classes * $129/mo for all classes (MMA, Muay Thai, etc) * Gym is only open during scheduled classes or Open Mat times * First time boxing gloves are free. The school teaches a modern practical application of several martial arts disciplines and the instructors are extremely knowledgeable. The school will tailor its instruction around your capabilities and instructors know just the right amount of motivation techniques to get you to expand and grow. Best of all you really feel like a family member at this school. Everybody takes an interests in your well being and we all push to make each other better martial artists.
