This shop is amazing and Paco is an incredible artist. My mom and I came in to do a mother son matching piece and our experience with paco could not have been better. The atmosphere of this shop is as comfortable as it gets. For example while Paco was setting up his station the owner came in and was talking with us. We had no clue this guy was the shop owner until after he left. The guy was just super chill. Back to Paco. His work speaks for itself. The guy is an amazing artist and tattooer, but it's his personality that set our experience apart. He really took time to get to know us and made me feel as though our tattoo was the most important thing in the world to him. Did a walk in about two months ago for some tattoos on my fingers, some simple symbols. Abe was available so he did them. He broke skin on 4/5 fingers and so the healing took a little longer and the ink did not stick. It just scabbed up. So I went in for a touch up and after that session, he did not go deep enough in some sections so the ink did not stick again. Tried to go in for a second touch up but when I got there, he said I should wait a week for more skin to build up and come back. So we rescheduled, but he got the time wrong so when I showed up he wasn't there, with no notice. Left my name and number but never got a call. I called and rescheduled again and left my name and number again, but when I called to confirm when I was on my way, I was told over the phone by someone else that he wasn't there and isn't gonna be there, so I left my name and number again bc I never got a call for a cancellation. It's been a week now and I still haven't gotten a call to reschedule. I am coming from out of town so having to reschedule over and over and not getting any kind of communication is just bad service. He even told me he didn't want me to lose my faith in him but here we are after a series of unfortunate events. Huge waste of my time and money. read more

I had Jeremy do two tattoos on myself and my friend. My friends tattoos turned out fine. I had Jeremy tattoo something on my foot that turned out fine. I also had him tattoo a wing on my hand which turned out horrible. The lines are way to thick and the tattoo is way to dark. I can't stand the tattoo. I'm going to pay to get it removed. Which is going to cost me $1500-2000 and it's timely. Jeremy accommodated us by coming in on his day off and he discounted the price of my tattoos because it was my birthday. But I think he knew he messed up on the tattoo on my hand. I'm so disappointed and it's in a place where I can't hide the tattoo. I bought makeup to try and cover it up. I will never go to another tattoo artist that is not referred to me again. I felt rushed and even the way he placed the outline was sloppy. I should have known. Abe has done a few tattoos on me and they have all been excellent. He has a great sense of style and has completely understood my vision for a couple of custom pieces. His line work is very exact and he has excellent fundamentals-his stuff is bold and bright, and will last forever. He did some traditional pieces (one was a re-work on a pretty poorly done tattoo from someone else awhile ago) along with a couple of out of the box ideas, so he's well-rounded. Not to mention, dude is funny as shit. Generally speaking, Born to Lose is a very well run shop. They have always kept appointments and been on time, which isn't always the case w the tattoo industry. Their prices are relatively low given the caliber of work they do. I have been going to Buddha Tury for a few years now. I lost him for a bit (shop shuffle) and when I found out he opened a new shop I was stoked. I have been to a dozen or so shops and have been tattooed by various artists over the years. What makes me go back to Tury is that his shop is really clean and he is super friendly. I went to Earl Nixon for a piece on the backside of my forearm. Let me start off by saying WOW. He drew out my idea way better than I pictured it. As soon as he showed me the sketch, my jaw dropped. He took his time to redraw it backwards to see which way would look better (most other tattoo artists don't give a f*ck). Was none to pleased with the way I was treated last month. I brought in a tattoo that I had found in pintrist that had a lot of repins or I know it was good art and not just what I thought was good. Literally a goddamn shitshow!!! do not come here if you expect orderly business and good time management skills. if you're looking for a place full of incompetence, negligence, and flat out stupidity, come on down! spent a good third of my friday the 13th here, only to leave twice (first time we waited an hour. second time we came back was almost two) and come back and spend the next 4 hours here to get simple line work done. literally any person that entered the shop after was next in line for their tattoo!! if you have people write their names down in an ordered list to keep things smooth, USE THE LIST. from 9pm to 4am i spent time here until i was THE LAST PERSON to get work done. we wrote our names down twice, called in, and we still spent 6 GODDAMN hours in this shithole. honestly do not understand how anyone here is still successfully employed at this point, considering everyone is a blithering, moronic idiot! next time i'd rather carve a tattoo on my skin with a knife than spend another second in this barren abyss of straight up hopelessness and foolishness. everyone here is a f*cking idiot and they are well aware of it. would rather spend 6.5 hours in purgatory slowly roasting my own skin on a wooden spit over a blazing flame than ever do anything remotely similar to this experience again read more
