Jana was very patient and tried to get me in a better position and for the baby to move but baby was very happy to stay squished. Jana offered me a complimentary rescan and even came in on her day off to accommodate our schedule (we were leaving town back to LA). Unfortunately our baby was still squished so we couldn't see much more at the second scan. I would recommend going before 30 weeks if you can because the baby should have more room to move and you will likely get better photos. Still highly recommend Womb Service!

She can point you & guide you step by step on whatever question you have. I even had asked her for certain labs to make sure everything Is in order since my daughter has bad allergies and she do not hesitate in helping me feel comfortable and safe with her services. In my experience I NEVER had a problem with her. Her staff is very friendly. There is Parking in front of the office, I normally schedule appointments after 2.30pm to avoid the waiting situation. Mondays are the crowded it can get. Walk-ins are accepted (beware walk-ins is an extremely slow process). With appointment I would say that I spend around hour and a half to two hours in the office. It definitely works for me.

I went to this practice today for a follow up procedure from a previous doctor. I was scheduled with Dr. Sonya Lee. I arrived, checked in, and filled out paperwork, then was taken back to undress and wait for the doctor to come in. When she arrived, my first impression was certainly not a warm and fuzzy one. She was unfriendly, abrupt, and even seemed annoyed or inconvenienced when I was explaining my medical history and current concerns. It was uncomfortable, but I figured not everyone is naturally welcoming or comforting. It was what ensued during and after my in office procedure that assured me this was much worse than poor bedside manor. As we began my procedure, I mentioned to Dr. Lee that I wasn't good with GYN "stuff" as in very sensitive to pain and/or discomfort in that area. This was just a heads up in hopes that she would have some empathy and maybe take things a little slower or with extra care, and her response was "well yea this isn't fun for me either". Great. So my sense of her being annoyed or inconvenienced at the beginning of my appointment was confirmed. She proceeded on with the procedure which was just flat out rough and fast - beyond unpleasant. I asked her at some point if it was almost done and she said it would be. The last few seconds were the worst, it was as if she was purposely being erratic! Zero concern or consideration for me, my body, or my sensitivities. Once she was done, I mentioned that the procedure was done a little fast and roughly. She was clearly offended and said she didn't know what to tell me and wasn't sure how they do it at other places, but that's how they do it at GSP. Then she says "well I guess I'll text you with the results". Her attitude about it was horrible, dismissive, and cold. I'm sitting there half clothed and the person who's care I'm in has treated me like trash. I couldn't believe what I was experiencing. I expressed to her that I was a little uncomfortable at that point and her response was "yea me too". She then proceeded to go to the computer to take notes while I was sitting there in a very vulnerable position, unable to get up or move. I asked her if I could have please have the room to get dressed and she got up, walked out, and slammed the door behind her. As soon as that door shut I was in tears. I could not believe the treatment that I had just received. I have never in my life experienced something like this. Sure, a medical degree is great for practicing medicine, but so is care, empathy, compassion, a good bedside manor, and a general respect and consideration for others - things Dr. Lee is clearly severely lacking. I will never step foot into the offices of Gynecology Specialists of Philadelphia again and I urge others to consider my situation before they do. There are so many wonderful doctors out there, terrible experiences like mine should just never have to happen. Glad I know now! Looking forward to seeing a new doctor in the future. **Update** Ironically, but not surprisingly, recently received this letter in the mail from GSP stating that I am being let go as a patient for being "rude and disrespectful to the staff." Hard to do anything but laugh at this. First, for the fact that this is what I get in response to leaving a completely honest review of a horrid experience I had - no apology or accountability from this doctor, of course - which is right in line with my experience. And secondly, the fact that they ever thought I was stepping foot back in that office again! Ha. No thanks, a thousand times. I was nothing but pleasant with everyone in that office, including Dr. Lee who was in fact, extremely rude and unprofessional to me. God, they are worse off than I initially thought! Beware.

Alycia is very patient with her advice making sure she gives you holistic care. Sharon is a go-getter with her "she got you! don't worry about it" kinda attitude. First, Dr. Salva calmed me down and reminded me I could still back out if I wanted to, which I really appreciate. She was so caring but still totally professional, and was able to get it in whole keeping me relaxed as possible. There are no words to describe the world of difference in the way Dr. Salva placed this IUD. I'm still in shock that it wasn't the horrific pain I was anticipating because of the other experiences. Going to Penn in itself has its positives and negatives you know you are going to a large network with well known doctors but it can be hard to get in touch. I recommend using the patient portal to send messages you get quicker answers and if you ask for a call that can help if you want to speak to someone. Once I knew I had to have the procedure and had their info and knew who to ask for it was much easier to get answers. I would recommend Dr Salva to anyone looking for a new doctor!

With her guidance, our daughter was sleeping independently in her crib from 7pm until 4 or 5am about 4-6 weeks after birth and from 7am-7pm by 12 weeks. We accomplished this without any sleep training with Lee's help. The best part about Lee is that she adapts her guidance to the needs of each family and doesn't have a one size fits all approach. She was easily accessible for any follow up questions and is amazing with babies! Lee was a phenomenal resource for our family during our transition into parenthood. I can't recommend her enough. The money spent hiring her was far more valuable than anything else we purchased for our daughter!

A few details: Post-partum: We worked with Lee to craft a personalized post-partum support schedule that helped us transition to being new parents. Our primary doulas were Kate and Beth, both of whom were amazing. They were generally with us 4 nights per week from 9pm-7am. In addition to caring for our baby overnight so we could get some much needed rest, they were a source of knowledge and comfort. We felt our baby was very safe and secure with them and trusted them 100%. We also had a few day time visit where we could ask questions, try out new things like baby wearing, and get out of the house. Sleep training: We decided to sleep train our baby at about 4.5 months. Lee came to our house and stayed for 3 days straight. During that time she coached us (most important part of sleep training is training the parents that everything will be OK!), monitored the baby at night so we could rest, took extensive notes, and left us with a detailed plan of action. We were amazed at house much progress our baby made in those 3 days. He was literally sleeping through the night and falling asleep/putting himself back to sleep with minimal crying. Lee provided a month of ongoing phone, email and text support, where we could ask questions and plan for things like sleeping elsewhere, car rides, disruptions to our schedule, etc. We give Doulas of Philadelphia our strongest endorsement. If you are looking for highly experienced, professional, loving, and kind people to help you transition into parenthood or when you are expanding your family, definitely consider their services.
