You could see on his face that he had no idea what he was doing. Then another barber came over, started cutting my son's hair, and was teaching the first guy at the same time! My son ended up with his hair super short-like, way too short, and completely shapeless, even though his hair was pretty long before. It was a horrible experience. They messed up my son's hair badly. My South American mother-in-law mentioned that she got her hair done at a place in the Lantana Publix plaza, with a Colombian lady named Sylvia.\. Could not find the salon on yelp because it was only listed as a barber! Now it will also be listed under 'hair salon.' I called at opening to see if I needed to make an appointment and was told I could come in when I wanted to, so I did. The same woman, Sofia, who had done my mother-in-law's hair, was there, and sat me in her chair right away. Sofia was very nice, not pushy, and she did not try to sell me any products or additional services. She was obviously very comfortable with hair, and she snipped away all of my split ends. Then she suggested shaping it a bit here and there and I said go for it, closed my eyes, and she did some more snipping. The price was very reasonable.
