I called ahead and made an appointment, walked in and was immediately greeted by the smiling friendly Lauren, who checked me in and poured me a nice glass of bourbon, but I barely had a sip before my stylist was ready for me. The shop was clean, orderly, bright, and a bit of a vibe, with music playing in the background. My stylist Reynaldo was well equipped with a dozen different clippers, scissors, razors, etc., and went right to work. The goods definitely outweighed the bads here but I did have a couple cons. - There was no shampoo, blow dry, or shave offered. A little upsell is always appreciated, but never happened. - The other thing missing was feedback and communication along the way, once I said I wanted X, there was nothing else until the end. read more

Was looking for a new barbershop and after going through the reviews of everything in the area and somebody's refusal to go to a barbershop with a ridiculous name (heavy hittaz, skulls, etc) we settled on this place. Unlike the barbershop he's been going to for years, they are able to accommodate you with a next day appointment at a time of your choosing. The place is in a great location next to sweet water, easy to get to. Was offered a drink and indulged in a beer while he got his haircut. While the barber was proficient in Portuguese and spoke limited English, we showed him a picture of the look in mind and he nailed it perfectly, despite the language barrier. Suuuuuper sweet guy, Romulo. For $35, he washed the hair, cut and styled it. Plus a beer. All in all, I am told it was a really great experience and based on the perfect recreation of the look desired, will definitely be back. As the partner of the guy getting the haircut and our household's style dictator, I strongly approve it!! Lol. read more

He's detailed oriented, cares about what style and cut you want and makes sure it's perfect down to the last hair. I'm sure all of the dudes there are great as well. Fantastic business to support. I've had several haircuts at this location now, and even though I was hesitant to let anyone other than myself touch the glorious monument that is my beard, Nelson trimmed it for me the other day, lined it up, and left me looking chiseled like a bronze statue. Amazing. I've been to about 7 different shops in Boynton I only recommend Hotheads and this Man Cave location. All the other places had inexperienced barbers who gave uneven cuts because they're trying to rich through it. I came to man cave because they reviews were solid. I walked in and spoke to the owner Elizabeth and she was very sweet and asked me if I would like a beer or a different beverage (a very nice touch). My barber was Nelson, who was more like a sculptor. He was amazing, he took his time and I didn't feel the machine rasp across my skin like at other shops, my skin wasn't raw and tender after my cut, Nelson was an actual professional He gave a hot towel treatment and it was incredible, so very relaxing. I think I may have found my new barber. Recomiendo encarecidamente a nelson. Not worth the money. My brother went here and didn't receive a wash or any treatment, just a dry uneven cut that would've been done better at SportsClips. Very disappointing. Went to get my haircut at ManCave , I didn't make an appointment just walked in about 2:30 pm, Jay the Barber was there said he was booked till 4 pm so a made an appointment with him . I got back a little early than my appointment to catch him finishing a client and saw his work and it put me at ease with the quality and professional service he was giving the client. The place is very clean and the atmosphere and the music were great. Jay got me in his chair and ask what kind of haircut I want , I told him and he went to work cutting my hair and ask along the way if what he was doing was ok and he was doing fine and when he was done he ask me how did I like it and asked me about the front of my hair if I wanted it a little shorter because I like to spike it because he thinks it would look better and he was right . I am very satisfied with the service he did and definitely will be a repeat client of Jay's and would would highly recommend this place and Jay. read more
