This used to be my go to barber in town. Won't be going anymore, barber quality has gone down hill last couple times. This time my barber didn't even follow instructions of a fade starting at a quarter length. Was ready to send me off when I asked what length, and he had cut it regular cut at 1. I thought he was just starting. I asked for an inch to be cut off the top, he also didn't do that until I once again asked when he was ready to send me off. The redo was also not a good haircut, just poor quality. Had a similar experience last time where it just didn't look good. Got no clean shave on the back and sides either. He also didn't clean up well, I don't expect to be showered clean but hair around me could have used more effort from the blow dryer. Could just be the barbers I've had, but won't risk it again at the steep price with other options. read more

My husband being retired Army just wanted a short hair cut. He explained to the lady what he wanted and she told him she didn't know how to do a basic short hair cut. So he basically tried to walk her through the haircut. It took forever and the result was the worse haircut he has ever had. read more

Don't even know where to start. If I could give 0 stars, I would've. Boris, the owner, is a scum bag. Website says $36; you go in, and he says $38 because he "hasn't updated his website." If you use your debit card, Boris is still gonna charge you the 3.5% credit card processing fee. You ask him a question, he's going to give you a snappy, rude response. I've been in there waiting to be seated, and a customer leaves, and he commented on them as they closed the door by saying "fucking asshole". If you get a barber here, don't expect them to stay, and it's understandable because they have a terrible boss. They have new barbers every week. Do not come here by any means. I am literally the most difficult person with my children so I always give an extra buck or 2 when the person can handle me. I came in on a whim for a haircut for my older son. He's 9. I'm very picky. This barber- TOMAS, dealt with me calmly and he did an unbelievable job. He took his sweet time. He asked me all the questions. He was calm and attentive. Tomas was great. These guys knock it out of the park every single time. That's why I've been getting my hair cut here over the past 3 years. Javier is probably the best barber I've ever dealt with. He knows exactly what I'm looking for and gets it right every single time. I've actually also tried other barbers at Maniello's and they've all been great! Luna, Mike, and most recently Carlos have done an outstanding job cutting my hair. The shop is family owned, so when you walk in you feel like family, everyone greets you by name and asks how you are doing! ***UPDATE: Shortly after posting my original review (below) I received a call from John, the owner, who was both understanding and supportive and offered to correct the issues I had with the haircut. I have updated my rating to reflect my appreciation and respect for good business practices. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review, but my haircut by Mike is probably one of the worst I've ever received. Let me first say that this may have just been an off day because I had previously been cut by him and it was a fine haircut. I asked for a standard 0 Mid Fade and asked him to leave length on the top. The only clarifying question he asked was if I wanted "skin or almost skin" to which I replied "almost skin". I was alarmed when I felt the clippers all the way up toward the crown of my head, but I trusted that he knew what he was doing and allowed him to continue. The appointment was a one-hour slot which was wrapped up in about 25 minutes. After being turned around to face the mirror I was shocked to see a very high fade. I paid and left. Upon getting home and inspecting further I noticed the line up on both sideburns was totally different! I'm not an unreasonable person and understand that hair grows back (luckily for me pretty quickly) but this is just unacceptable. My advice to anyone looking to go here is to communicate exactly what you want to your barber to avoid this upset. read more

Made an appointment with Kathy. When we arrived at the barbershop, were told the Kathy is not working on Wednesdays???? A barber, who doesn't speak English and could not communicate with me, gave my son a haircut and charged $30. After washing the hair at home, we saw that the haircut was a mess, uneven, didn't look good. My son was very frustrated. Would not recommend. read more

This Shop is awesome, Luis is the best The owner and all employees were cool. The Decor it is very warm rugged and Manley. The equipment they have is first class. I had them do a hot shave, both on my face and head with the straight blade the works. Not only did I get a good haircut but I think my skin looks nicer. Kudos to Maniello barbershop for providing a high value service under challenging conditions. First, good Covid-19 protocols: everyone was masked. Seats outside to wait for your appointment. Dianni, my barber cleaned/sanitized the station before we began. Second, Dianni gave me a very nice fade haircut. She definitely knows what she's doing and followed instructions on length and style. Expertly cleaned up the hairline and really took care with grooming. Third, everyone including the gentleman at the counter was super nice and accommodating. Girl I had did not know how to do a gradual fade. Not even close! I showed her a clear picture of what I wanted and said level 6 on top. The last cut I had was a 6 on top and was at least an inch longer. She did not say that what she would do would look NOTHING like my picture I showed her. Went ahead with sheering it. It would have maybe been worth asking me first before you took an action of no retur Lady at the front desk was nice and I felt bad that I kept the stylist to the next client so I tipped. Very bad experience today. Their website states a beard trim is $20. I booked an appointment today and specifically asked for that beard trim. The guy at the desk asked if I wanted a beard trim like the computer said-I said yes. I told the barber they gave me the same. They wanted to charge me $45 because they said they gave me hot towels-which I never asked for. Horrible experience! I was extremely clear with the barber. I was booked only for a beard trim. He's from New Jersey but as a New Yorker myself I cut him a little slack and decided not to hold that against him. I'm glad I did because he wound up providing great service. SERVICE PROVIDED: 0 on the sides high and tight 1/2 inch off the top heavy beard trim (I have very thick fast growing facial hair) OUTCOME OF SERVICE: Prior to my visit my wife was insistent on me ditching the beard but John's beard work completely changed her tune. As a business professional in a rather formal environment, beards are not easy to pull off but I left feeling 100% confident facing customers due to John's handy work. Tell John and team what you want and they will nail it. CUSTOMER SERVICE: John gets customer service and understands that the business exists for their customers and not the other way around. No business is perfect all of the time but their number 1 focus is their customers and Joe's many years of experience as a barber is evident in the outcome of his service. The place is very busy so an appointment is recommended but if you walk in rest assured they will take not leave until their customers needs are satisfied. CLIENTELE SERVICED: Solid mix of folks of different ages and backgrounds from kids to seniors and I've never seen anyone not leaving happy with the outcome, including myself. Barbershop In need of a haircut and in the Boynton area, I hit the Yelp app for some suggestions on where to get my locks trimmed and Maniello's appeared to be the place that everyone was loving - so I headed on over. I did not have an appointment but they had an open chair when I walked in which was nice as I didn't have to sit there. Barber got me situated and after we discussed what I was looking for the clipping began. They followed my directions and in short order I had a presentable head of hair again. The shop has six seats and they seemed to be always full so although I got lucky, you may want to call ahead and make an appointment. Prices: Not really sure what the going rate in the area is but I got a $20 haircut which is what I would have paid in NY - so to me the cost was fine. To sum it up: good barbers that follow your instructions, friendly people in general working there and a clean shop at a good cost - what more could you ask for? Parking lot in front. read more

Went to Maniello's for the first time tonight. I just moved down here from Charleston where I had been established with the same barber for three years... To say I had some trepidation about finding a new one is an understatement. I found this place on Yelp, read the awesome reviews, and figured I could give it a shot. Worse comes to worst I can always shave my head. Long story short, awesome haircut and awesome experience. Caleb did my haircut and shaped up my beard with the straight razor. Phenomenal talent and outstanding customer service. He and the owners made me feel right at home. No forced awkward conversations, never felt rushed. I told Caleb "just make me look good" and off we went. I was thoroughly impressed by the establishment, and my wife loved the new 'do (easily the most important part of the transaction!).
