We were among the first residences to be built…read morehere as the neighborhood began to develop & we lived in one of the original townhomes while our house was under construction. We've stayed because we genuinely like it here and it's a convenient location. The Borough had a master plan in place from the very beginning and has stuck to it as the neighborhood grew. The idea was to have restaurants, grocery shopping, doctors, sports activities, etc. within a walkable residential area and they have indeed achieved that. Since busy Route 228 bisects the 2 sections of Seven Fields, most everyone still drives to our destinations but they are nearby. The addition of the Adams Shoppes bordering the other side of Seven Fields has only enhanced the convenience. The neighborhood offers a Community Center that can be rented inexpensively by the residents. The neighborhood pool is great for kids and a season pass is reasonably priced. Swimming lessons and special events are available there. There are baseball and soccer fields surrounding the town park, playground and pool. The only thing overlooked there is a dog park. There are certainly enough canine residents here to warrant one. The past few years the neighborhood has hosted a carnival that has been very well attended with amusement rides, food, music and fireworks during a June weekend in conjunction with the weekend garage sale. The Borough is governed by a council, mayor and Borough Manager. They have always seemed to be a dedicated team who have made very thoughtful decisions and have always gotten the necessary jobs done as frugally as possible with the tax dollars entrusted to them. The roads are in great shape, the snow is removed in a timely manner, the police and fire companies respond quickly and it generally feels pretty safe here. Is it the most picturesque? Not quite, but it's home.

Shop density is high so one has to explore a bit to find everything. Lowe's is out there which makes it a go to place for us. Major business build out as well -- lots of employment opportunities.

This township is owned by, and named after, Robin's Son…read more Just to the west of Pittsburgh is this lovely little suburb which I visited on many occasions now, and it's nice and secluded and honestly filled with a lot of annoying chains and whatnot - but it's still a great little spot with some hotels and some good food, and you get the idea. There's a location of Burgatory out here, but for the most part most of the great food is found on the other side of Interstate 79. There's a Bob's Big Shot Wings not far from here though, it's amazing - get them Old Bay Wet. But if you want to stay close to the airport then it's one of your best bets.

I needed to visit in person to get logged on to the newest "my social security" account. I had…read morereceived errors trying to set it up online. I had an appointment, parked for free in their parking lot, and entered the building. I had to check in with a guard, then I was called for my appointment. The staff member was very efficient and fast and I was in and out within moments. And, my login was activated and I was good to go. This, of course, was several weeks ago before the current chaos of the current administration. I hope the office remains open and all goes as smoothly as my transaction.

It opened up to cars in 2004 to help take congestion away from the Liberty and Fort Pitt Tunnels. Not sure all that much has been taken away. I think it was once an HOV tunnel, and I commute alone, so I never thought to use it. It's now opened to single drivers, though, going with the flow of traffic (inbound for the morning rush, outbound for the evening rush). If you're coming downtown from the South Hills during morning rush hour, bypass that Liberty Tunnel traffic and go to Woodruff Street to take this one, and it will probably be your own personal thruway when you do. You'll come out near the Smithfield Street Bridge and can shoot into downtown from there. Great, time-saving find.

This is a great place to take pictures or go for a walk. I do wish Eastside Development was a little more cool about people parking on the deck and walking across the bridge, so hopefully that will change. The bridge was designed by Pittsburgh native artist Sheila Klein. It features thousands of glass sequins made at the Pittsburgh Glass Center and railings that were salvaged from the 31st Street Bridge.

Nice pool on Mt. Washington! I've been a few times and for a city pool I enjoy it. The pool is a…read moregood size and doesn't get overly crowded. There is a deep end it goes up to 10 ft. It's concrete around the pool...no grass so I recommend taking a chair. The bathrooms need updated desperately!! $5 for adults and $3 for kids for the day. $30 pass for 1 person and $60 pass for 4 people. The pass is for the year so in the winter you can use the Oliver bath house in south side.

The size is perfect for the neighborhood, and the deep end is nicely roped off for swimming laps. Yes, the locker rooms are right out of the 1980s, but most folks come here from their nearby homes, so the shower area isn't used the way a private club would be. If you're a Mount Washington/Duquesne Heights resident, this is the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing swim or do water aerobics.
