The outdoor seating and awesome rock music made for a real treat to our evening! The music was loud enough to enjoy but soft enough to allow for conversation and food and drinks arrived on a timely basis. The menu consisted of seafood & tacos mostly but beef was an option too. Because i am vegan, however, they whipped up some veggie lettuce wraps with loads of guacamole! Amazing with a little 7 Mares hot sauce and a cold Tecate Light! Nom nom nom said this vegan! Thank you, Skullyz, for your flexibility and open mind with your menu items. Not everyone will do this for me so I am so grateful that you do! Our first encounter with Southside jillz was great service, decent karaoke, and a pretty cool environment. The Hispanic gentleman that helped us was really friendly and had good conversation. We came back a couple months later with friends and it was a completely different experience. As soon as we got there my wife began to feel sick. She wasn't in the mood to order any food, so I told our friends that I was going to walk her back to the room, and come back to order food to take it back to the room. I placed two orders one to eat at the restaurant and the other to take back to the room. Then I began to hear chatter between Jill and some other customers. At first I downplayed it like there's no way that she could be talking about me. And she made no efforts on being discreet. I found it extremely disrespectful. She made comments that "i don't care about my wife's well-being by leaving her in the room. And she can tell that I don't respect my significant other because I'm hanging out instead of being with her." It was my wife's idea for me to go down there and mingle with our friends before bringing her food back to the room. Which in all none of it was her goddamn business! It made me so uncomfortable that when they brought my food out I told the waiter to pack it up, so that i could leave. Jill then freaked out slamming her hands on the counter saying we need to get this guy up out of here immediately. I sarcastically ask Jill for my receipt. She then said "you can't be talking to me because I don't work here." But before I got back she had to introduce herself to our friends as the owner of the restaurant. I would never be returning to this restaurant again. And to whom may be reading this should take this into consideration before spending their money at this establishment.

Their maple bacon is indulgently delicious. The service is impeccable. Caters towards Americans and you will be comfortable without Spanish. But unlike other American centric spots on this beach, the Mexican food at Colin's is really good. Drinks are great. Beer is great. They always have the right game on the tv. Outdoor seating.
