Called and got an appointment within the week. Was welcomed with smiles and very sweet receptionists. Was seen promptly, the doctor took his time listening and asking questions to figure out what was going on and diagnosed me and has a plan of action for my care. I was worried about going due to some of the poor reviews but I am glad I didn't let them detour me from going. I have nothing but positive feelings and a positive experience to report. I didn't have many interactions with the receptionist. Only hi and bye. My mom usually talked to her. However, Dr. BORREGO was able to diagnose and treat me for bipolar. I was able to get properly treated and he listened to my concerns about medications and hanging my treatment plan. Because of him I graduated college and been dealing with bipolar successfully. read more

He is excellent and listens to what your concerns are and doesn't just tell you what you need. He doesn't act narcissistic like many Dr's can be, so it feels like teamwork for your needs. I highly recommend him and I work in mental health. read more

Doctor Is nice, but the receptionist... not the younger one but the older one... Extremely inappropriate for a mental health office. Repremands patients for missing appointments and needing to reschedule. Made me feel like an inconvenience many times. Not helpful considering the population served. read more

Dr. Borrego is amazing! He's very attentive and actually cares. I would never go back because of the receptionist (the older lady) she is sooo rude treated me like dirt. She's very nice at first to sign you up, but then treats you like you are nothing more than a freak show. I wish Dr. Borrego would know how horrible she is. He missed out in 2 patients because of her. read more

Don't waste your time especially if he is going to dump you over ONE missed appt after building a TWO year relationship with him. The OLDER receptionist... still there. You can find her in most reviews on different sites discussing her poor character and lack of people skills. I was under his care for nearly TWO years and had several issues with her. I missed ONE appt in those TWO years due to an emergency. I received a letter two days later. It stated, "WE ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO OFFER YOU FURTHER SERVICES." You really want to find a psychiatrist who is going to think about your well-being. Ed Borrego didn't consider how this would affect me. It clearly demonstrates he doesn't really care about his patients or their experience - from beginning (OLDER receptionist) to end (the breakup letter). read more
