You get a wrist ban and can play all day long with in and out privileges so you can go to the restroom, get some food, shop, and still come back for more! This is a great place to play video games, and it held my older kid's attention for at least two hours. My younger child (lower elementary age) was bored after about 45 minutes, but your mileage may vary. Boss Battle Games has a lot of cabinet-style arcade games, like Centipede, Pac-Man, Mortal Kombat and others. All of your Gen-X and Millennial video game dreams will be fulfilled here. They also have some pinball machines -- some you can play for an extra fee, and some seemed like they could be played with the price of admission. There are also some interactive games, like Dance Dance Revolution. Speaking of admission: You pay $15 for a wristband that grants you access to almost all of the video games, and you can come and go all day. If you're really into playing video games, this is a great deal. They don't sell any food or beverages here, so if you want something to eat or drink, you'll need to leave and come back. I enjoyed my time at Boss Battle Games. It's been a while since I've been to an arcade. This took me back to the old days as a kid. There were many classic games to be played and BBG uses an easy and valuable option to pay a flat fee, get a wristband, and play all day long. There's a good mix of games, and even console games are set up on TVs to play some old classics. There's a good variety of pinball machines; unlimited play is also included for these machines. The winner of the arcade for me and my friends was the full-size Daytona machines with moving seats. It was an awesome blast from the past! This is a great alternative to Dave & Buster's if you're not interested in eating/drinking. I spent over $100 taking my 7-year old to D&B's the last time I was there. At Boss Battle Games, I spent $20 ($10 per person) for unlimited gaming. There's no swiping of a card, or even depositing of coins/tokens (with the exception of the pinball machines which require tokens that you get from the front desk - but still included in the price). Besides the standard cabinet-style games, there are also console games that you can play (ask for a controller from the front desk). They also have quite a few Japan-spec games that I've never seen before. read more

The family and I visited this arcade place earlier today, my son has been dying to visit it. We all enjoyed it very much. For only $10 a person that gives you unlimited play except on the pinball machines. That $10 gets you all day play if you want to hang at the mall that long, they give you a wrist band so if you go out to roam the mall for awhile you can get back in with the bracelet. The new location in Castleton is great. If you're already a fan of Boss Battle from their old location in Washington Sq., it's definitely worth checking out the new digs. Nice graffiti on the walls and a better choice of additional shopping around the rest of the mall. If you've never been to Boss Battle, go! For $10, you get unlimited, freeplay arcades. They have all the classics from Donkey Kong to Mortal Kombat to Daytona and more. It's a great trip--especially if you're looking to entertain older kids for an afternoon. For $20, my kids have hours of entertainment on tap. The only complaint I have was buying from the counter. My son bought a rare Japanese Smash Bros at the counter for $60 and the clerk opened the box and (accidentally) threw the game cartridge against the counter. No harm seemed to be done, and we wanted it. So we still finished the purchase. But it was bad form. So be careful if you're eying the collectables there. I love this place. First of all it makes me feel like a kid again and that's always nice. The other really really cool thing about this place is that it is the one place I can beat my kids ar video games lol. I'm not a gamer by any means so my boys think it's cool when they see their mom getting excited about a game and then doing well on it (think Centipede, the best ever arcade game of all time, and Galaga) Anyways, they have the throw back games of the 80s like I mentioned and of course Pac Man and Tron and almost every game us 80s babies will drool over. They also have the 90s staples such as StreetFighter and Mortal Kombat and the original Mario. Shooter games like Night of the Living Dead and others are there as well. It is very affordable, it is just $10-12 for an all day wristband. There is not an option to stop and play a game and leave. You have to purchase a wristband to enter because once you're in you can play any of the games except pin ball an unlimited amount of times. The pin pall machines are extra, you basically have to get quarters to play those. They guys I've seen run it are nice. The only things I didnt like: I wish they allowed more space on the TV based games. The controllers are tethered so close I felt I was a few inches from the screen. The guys working here are waaaaay nicer than I expected, especially considering how many obnoxious folks I witnessed them dealing with. They went out of their way for my boys and I... maybe because we used words like please and thank you. It's like the old-fashioned arcades you used to find in the mall. But instead of cashing in $20 for quarters (or more...), they charge a $10 admission fee per person and all the games are free. They have them rigged to start automatically or they'll give you tokens to feed the pinball machines. Your $10 admission fee is good all day... so if you really just wanna lose yourself in Donkey Kong for several hours, feel free. The do have newer game consoles hooked up on TVs in the front, too... the only caveat with those is that you have to give the employees an ID to hold on to in order to borrow a controller. Because apparently customers were either walking off with the controllers or dropping them/beating them up intentionally. Sucks when a few ruin it for all. But overall, a REALLY cool place to hang out for a few hours and have fun without the "upsell/keep adding credit" worries you have at a place like D&B or C.C. read more

Been following this place since they were in Washington Square Mall and they're fantastic. The staff is very kind and the selection of arcade games is off the wall! Fantastic for kids, even better for adults who want to re-live the experiences of old. They have arcade games from modern day and all the way back to a whole horseshoe of classics! N64 evercarts with nearly the entire library, Guitar Hero, Smash Brothers Ultimate, Mortal Kombat (cabinets and console) light gun games, rhythm games (DDR, Pump! It Up, Jubeat) and racing games! All this for $7 for an hour and $10 for an all day play plus a rewards program and a case of classics for sale!? If you're a gamer you cannot (I repeat; Can Not.) pass this up. Travelers in the Castleton Square area should check it out as well. Word of advice: Please tell your children to not wail on the machines and that they should treat them with respect. Finally a pay by the hour arcade! This location had a ton of Multiplayer shooting and driving games. We paid 7 dollars each for an hour of game play, but you can pay 10 and play all day. They have a great selection of arcade games and a ton of retro consoles to play too. The only thing not included in the unlimited play are the pinball machines. The concept of paying $10 for all day play is great and they have a really large number of games, but unfortunately the environment itself is not good. As a recreational therapist I've been to a lot of arcades and this arcade was far louder than any I had been to. The lights were also off which I found really strange and disorienting. We asked for help setting up multiplayer on the WiiU because we've never played on one before. The employee helped us, but his attitude made it seem like it was a stupid question. There was a large room blocked off that looks like it is typically used for tournament play. I would've liked being able to go to the room even just for a few minutes to regroup in a quieter, lit area. I was really excited to add this facility into my normal rotation with clients, but I don't know if I can get myself to go back again. read more

Boss Battles is a very nice gaming arcade located in the mall. The staff is very supportive and caring about for their customers. I've come here several times for gaming tournaments and the events are usually run on schedule and in an organized fashion. Its pretty hard to get bored here as there is a wealth of arcade games to play as well as other video games being played in their large second gaming room.
