This mental health practice is a hidden gem. I've been going here for 8 years. I have an excellent Psychiatrist best I've ever had. He is extremely thorough, caring, passionate about helping people and very easy to talk to. I always feel relieved after my sessions. Also have great therapist who has helped me through some very hard times and the front desk staff are all very helpful and friendly. Not sure about the poor reviews I have recommended this place to my friends and family, and if I could give higher than five stars, I would. Alison Gilmore has been supporting my 5-year-old daughter for over a year now. We have been going through family changes (divorce) and her Father returned to his native land, Ukraine. Alison has been a huge component in helping my daughter find peace, acceptance, as well as sharing her thoughts of confusion and anger. When my daughter first met with Alison I thought this was never going to work. By nature my daughter guarded and can be stubborn. I think the first session was a silent match. I thought nothing was happening, but there was something happening. My daughter was establishing her stance, showing her that she wouldn't talk if she didn't want to. Alison never gave up on my daughter. Slowly but surly my daughter has opened up to Alison, she has earned her trust. With Alison's support my daughter is healing. Not only has Alison played a huge role as part of my daughters recovery, she is also helping me become a better mom. Every child is different and need to be parented in a way that works for that child as an individual. Alison has given me great feedback on how I can best support my child. When I reflect on the things that I am grateful for Alison is always on my gratitude list. She is dedicated to the children she supports and doing something that really matters! The office is great, really nice people easy to deal with. I'm giving them a one star rating because they for some reason still employ dr Gagarin. I have no idea how this man still works in the medical field, he is absolutely horrendous. Here is my experience; If I could give this doctor 0 stars I would. Terrible experience. I'm a medical marijuana patient and I use it for the many things I have been diagnosed with. It helps me greatly. When I brought it up to this so called doctor, I was immediately berated. "Smoking weed is so bad for you, no doctor can help you if you smoke weed." Were his exact words. Telling me that I have to stop smoking weed if I want help. I'm sorry, this is 2022 and weed is legal just about everywhere. This is a legal medical state, you can not legally tell someone they have to stop smoking weed to get help. That's like me telling him he has to stop wearing glasses if he wants to see. I've never been more baffled in my entire life. Telling someone they will be drug tested to make sure they are not smoking marijuana in a legal state is ILLEGAL. I was looking for help! How is anyone with a mental illness who needs help supposed to get help when there's "doctors" like this telling patients NO, because they use a medical substance that they don't approve of? Terrible experience at Boston Heathcare and I do not recommend Russell Biseti. He has a terrible bedside manner, called my daughter fat to her face even though she is healthy and normal weight and recovering from at eating disorder. Meanwhile this provider is overweight himself. He even asked our school to weigh my daughter. Very rude and inappropriate !!!!! This absolutely does not help with my daughters self esteem or eating disorder. She is 13 years old, 5'7 and 145 lbs which is within basElaine. My doctor was extremely rude and dismissive, so much so that I actually left mid appointment.

I was connected with this practice from a very reputable hospital in the area. I have no idea why they would connect me with a provider at this joke of a practice. I had to call 5 times over two days just to get my provider to answer a medication question. Jessica S, PA, is a joke of a provider. Avoid this practice like the plague if you need care. Terrible care. Stay away! They diagnosed my husband with three different problems by 3 different doctors. Never communicated together to get a consensus and plan to go forward with. The Neuro Psy testing done by them completely contradicted what their other doctors told me. They they dismissed us saying they didn't offer couples counseling anymore which they clearly list on their website. They lied and gave terrible care. read more

Very substandard mental healthcare. I saw Dr. Gagarin. He is an unattractive, overweight man lacking compassion and insight with poor judgement and medical decision making skills. He simply medicates you with powerful psyche meds He promptly dismissed me from his care saying he could not help me when I told him I stopped a medication after experiencing uncomfortable motor movements called tardive dyskinesia. He did not offer any alternatives or another provider to help me with my severe depression. read more

Multiple bad experiences with the office staff, providers that don't listen to you and just want you to get out the door as soon as possible, and hostile behavior from staff and providers make Boston Healthcare the worst place I've sought care in a long time. About every other time I had an appointment with a provider at Boston Healthcare, they called a few days before to move the appointment, resulting in sometimes months without care. Once, I had an appointment scheduled, and when I went in for the appointment, I was told I didn't have an appointment that day. I showed the office staff the card (in her handwriting) that said I did, in fact, have an appointment, and she insisted that I didn't. She said I should have known because I did not receive a confirmation call the day before. Later, I had an appointment scheduled but did not receive a confirmation call the day before, so I didn't go in. I was called a few minutes after my appointment was supposed to be and told to go in and sign a waiver saying that if I missed another appointment, I would no longer be welcome there. I pointed out that I did not receive a confirmation call and was told in the past not to go if I didn't get a call, and they said that it didn't matter, I had to sign the waiver or seek care elsewhere. Later, when I was a couple minutes late for an appointment, they told me not only that I had to leave, but immediately threatened to call the police on me. Why? Office policy. They said it was their policy to threaten patients who were late with calling the police because being late meant they were trespassing. I've never received such hostile treatment from a health care office before, and I was quite surprised by the extremely negative treatment. In addition to the above, whenever I had an appointment with a provider at Boston Healthcare, the provider rushed me out the door as quickly as he could. At one point, I tried describing the side effects of the meds the provider had prescribed and the effects the meds were having on my symptoms (largely that they seemed ineffectual). He told me that's nice, but the meds were fine. He then gestured to the door to tell me to go. It was only a couple minutes after my appointment had started. This is not appropriate behavior for a mental health professional. All in all, I would not recommend Boston Healthcare to anyone, especially not to people with mental health issues. read more

I have used Dr. Chris as my psychopharmacologist for just about 15 years now. I find him to be the perfect fit for me. His religious beliefs and the iconography displayed throughout his office somehow comforts me. "I" ask him questions regarding religion, he has NEVER once brought it up himself. As he calmly relates his dogma (never preaches)I am struck by his assuredness and the attendant serenity. He does a complete medical assessment with me every appointment. He is both aware of and shares his opinion about all my medical diagnoses. Through the years I have had a few psychopharms. They are not a one size fits all. If you (or your boyfriend) feel as if he is enabling- then find another doctor. One review was angry because her boyfriend was an addict and Dr. Chris kept prescribing. Addicts are liars- besides scamming, its what they do best. Where does a Dr. Draw a line in the sand? Obviously, your boyfriend is reporting positivity with the meds. Why wouldn't he continue to prescribe? You say that you have reported it to Dr. Chris, who r you? You r not his mother, sister, grandmother, wife nor fiancée. "I" understand your concern but you r not the patient nor do you have any implied authority to register your complaint/concern. Talk to the family and ask them to step up. Back to Dr. Chris. I know people who have gone to him simply looking for a scrip. He was able to see through them. No scrip. Does any Dr. get it right every time? Of course not. I was a patient here for about three years where the front staff treated the incoming patients very rudely and not in a respectful manner. For a place that is supposed to be concerned with peoples health they don't make an effort to make people feel comfortable. I had multiple appointments on snow days where they did not call to tell me that the office would be closed and I drove a half an hour just to get there to find out there was a sign on the door that the office was closed. The doctors will jump to a conclusion to prescribe you anything they can just so they can make a dollar. They are moving their offices and I hope that the people wake up and understand that this is not a place to go for help. I like how every negative review goes into the "not recommended" category. There are more negative reviews on here than there are positive, yet it still receives a 4 star review? Ridiculous! For starters, Dr. Chris is an absolute quack. My boyfriend goes here because he used to see Dr. Awaad as an ADHD counselor, and then Dr. Chris to prescribe him medicine. My boyfriend more than obviously abuses his medicine. Dr. Chris has been informed. Yet he continues to prescribe three months worth of adderall to my boyfriend, who then goes crazy, taking way too much adderall, and then crashing for a full week after it runs out. He no longer makes appointments with Dr. Awaad. He only sees Dr. Chris once every three months. How he is allowed to see a psychiatrist to prescribe him medicine without a counselor is beyond me! Horrible practice.... He literally will write up any prescription. My boyfriend is supposed to take a sleeping medicine as well. It makes him feel strange after he takes it. So he asked Dr. Chris to prescribe him something else. He upped the dose instead! How is that for an attentive doctor?? For only seeing him every three months, the appointments are super short. They last maybe ten minutes, tops. And he doesn't even ask how my boyfriend is feeling. They just talk about my son, the weather, etc, etc. This is so frustrating, and I am honestly very surprised that this hasn't been brought up by someone else sooner.... Ok, Dr. Chris does have religious things in HIS office because well, it's HIS office. His office is clean and welcoming, gives you a peaceful feeling. I made it very clear to him when I started that I was not willing to take a lot of meds and that I wanted to figure out the right "cocktail" of meds for my conditions. He thoroughly went through my history and we discussed symptoms and medications. After, nearly 20 yrs of being misdiagnosed, I am now being properly treated BECAUSE he knows what he's doing. I do feel like I have to defend this office right now because of these ridiculous comments about not getting meds or someone whining about their boyfriends drug addiction. Like, they're not magicians, they can't change your habits, only you can. Yes, you can see a psychiatrist without a therapist. Well, because that's what they do, ONLY prescribe meds. Medication is not a magic pill and you need to do some work on you're own to change things. This is a great office, the wait times are minimal, office is clean and Dr. Chris is willing to work with people that are willing to help themselves. No one can change you but YOU. In my experience, mental health care providers fall into two categories: Those who want you to come back and pay for endless visits while accomplishing nothing, and those who actually want you to get better. Dr. Chris. He might be a complete sociopath. I walk into his office and there are degrees hanging on his wall directly behind him. All around the room is forced religious believes along with Greek origins. I have no history of any substance abuse and have never taken a prescription drug in my life. I have a sever fear of flying and this guy refused and cackled to prescribe a med to me for help. I'm engaged to a woman who moved out here from Iowa so I need to fly. This guy is a complete joke when he typed away at his computer. That's all he does. All he did during my session was type away. This doctor failed because he does not have the ability to treat anyone. If you have an issue seek another practice. This guy by the looks of him alone does not take care of himself.
