I visited the office to arrange to have a procedure done, but I couldn't get past the receptionist…read more With a heavy Hispanic accent, she told me that my insurance deductible had not been met for the procedure, so therefore I would not be allowed to even speak to the doctor about my questions regarding the procedure. Like a parrot she kept repeating "because we check" with regard to my insurance, which I found very offensive. Oddly, I went to another doctor in Glen Ridge (Montclair Urology Group), and had both the consultation and the procedure done with total respect, and no attitude and no mention of deductibles or "because we check".

We are the son and wife of a deceased patient diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma on whom Drs…read more Patrick and Michael Ciccone performed surgery on May 23, 2014, and we believe they showed tremendous negligence which may have prevented this patient from living longer. After removing the patient's kidney, Dr. Patrick Ciccone told us there was no evidence of metastasis and booked us on our first follow-up appointment in July. On the day of the appointment, neither Dr. Patrick Ciccone nor Dr. Michael Ciccone was available, and instead the patient was seen by another doctor from their practice, Dr. Erol E. Ulker, who did nothing other than to tell him to return in November to see Drs. Ciccone. After a CT scan was performed 4 months following that visit, on November 25, 2014, Dr. Michael Ciccone said the patient's lymph nodes were enlarged, referred us to an oncologist, and gave us a Surgical Pathology Report (dated June 2, 2014 -- only a week after the surgery) to show him. We had been unaware that such a document even existed. After reviewing the Surgical Pathology Report, the oncologist asked if the patient had been taking any medication, and when he learned he had not been prescribed any he was very surprised. The report contains loads of information, including terms such as: "Lymphovascular invasion: Present", "Tumor grossly extends into the renal vein or its segmental branches", and "The tumor is grade 3". Based on the oncologist's reaction from the report made immediately after surgery, we believe Drs. Patrick Ciccone, Michael Ciccone, and Erol E. Ulker were extremely negligent in failing to prescribe medication for six months straight following the patient's surgery and for not referring us to an oncologist much sooner, despite knowing the pathology report was very troublesome.

In conversations before the bris, I knew that my friend was nervous about the process, the ceremony, and the actual circumcision. I can say with confidence that Dr. Rumbak put the family's mind at ease both with her expertise and her gentle approach. As a "spectator" at the ceremony, Dr. Rumbak passed around sheets so we can all follow along and feel part of the ceremony, and explained what different blessings meant. She also added some Jewish text in a modern and relevant way, which I appreciated, and my family continued to discuss post ceremony. The sweet baby did super well and was calm throughout the entire process. Truthfully, I didn't even know when the actual circumcision actually happened because she was so gentle and discrete. At the end of the ceremony, many people went up to Dr. Rumbak to compliment her on one of the best brit mila's they ever went to, and many asked for her card (including my mom for our temple!). She has a great business partner in Shachar, who socialized with the guests of the ceremony, kept everything organized, and was just an all around stand up guy. Oh, and how great that she is a mohel AND a doctor. Talk about putting your mind at ease..that will definitely do it. Highly recommend.

Would have loved so much to give a glowing review of Dr. Rumbak but unfortunately we look back on…read morethe day of my son's bris and what transpired after with a lot of sadness. Dr. Rumbak deserves credit and thanks for her discretion in not circumcising our son the day of his bris due to a urological condition she noticed in her ore-ceremony examination. We are thankful for that. She performed what essentially worked out to a baby naming ceremony for us. Obviously the day was emotional to begin with and the news she couldn't circumcise was extremely disappointing and heartbreaking since this was a day we looked forward to for so long. In the days after the bris we were able to absorb the events better and realized exactly what happened. To begin with, my wife asked for a program to keep as they were being collected (yes, collected), and the response was, "I collect them." She said the same to my mom (baby's grandma). We consider this ridiculous - even if the baby's grandparents couldn't have one, at least the parents should. When I emailed Dr. Rumbak about the issue I'm about to describe, I also mentioned the program and that part of my email was left unaddressed. Here's the major problem, though. We paid $800 for a circumcision plus $150 for travel from Manhattan to Nassau. We were happy to do this because we really liked Dr. Rumbak on the phone. However, after the bris, we had a bit of a realization that really irked us. Why were we never offered any kind of refund for the circumcision not being performed? It really should have been offered that day, on the spot, but it wasn't. Days and weeks turned to months and we still were never offered anything. We didn't even get an email or phone call to check on our son given the medical issue Dr. Rumbak identified. This was surprising given the emotional nature of the day but also because part of Dr. Rumbak's service (advertised on her web site and vouched for in her reviews) is her frequent follow up with the family. Finally after a few months, I emailed her explaining we feel we are owed some kind of refund due to the most critical part of the ceremony, the circumcision, not being performed. It is that expertise for which we paid. Dr. Rumbak issued a $200 refund, saying that the rate for a baby naming is $600. It's unfortunate such a beautiful day was soured by the experience we had. As new parents we feel we were, in a way, taken advantage of. Dr. Rumbak did ultimately give some money back, but we feel we shouldn't have had to ask. Experiences like this are what make people cynical about organized religion. The right thing to do would have been to give us a refund without us having to ask. We would not recommend her.

Doctor Hagglund healed my 2.5 year old son from severe atopic dermatitis (eczema). We cannot even…read morebegin to describe our appreciation and gratitude for her knowledge and expertise. Before seeing Doctor Hagglund, our son suffered for years with debilitating eczema and incessant itching that detrimentally impacted his quality of life. He was not only uncomfortable, but also irritable and having difficulty sleeping because of how itchy he was. We tried every natural cream we could get our hands on and the MDs that we saw prescribed steroid creams. Some even recommended we start him on monthly shots of Dupixent. My husband and I felt helpless, defeated, and lost. Above all, we did not want to continue to put "band aids" on his eczema, but rather heal him from within. Doctor Hagglund was our savior. She was thorough, patient, and most importantly confident in her ability to heal our child from within. She gave us a care of plan specifically catered to our child's needs including daily supplements as well as topical creams and lotions. It was a journey and the results were not immediate, however we followed through with our plan of care and are thrilled to share that 5 months into our journey, our son is healed! His eczema is no longer impacting his quality of life - we have our happy, bubbly, energetic son back! And our sleep! Thank you Doctor Hagglund!
