That said, their professionalism and the habits of their support staff are terrible. When my physician left the practice, the patients were asked to resume seeing their primary care doctors. There was no phone call to inform patients their MD was no longer available, nor was there any attempt to match patients with other endocrinologists on staff. Staff doesn't contact patients for routine matters such as scheduled appointments or pharmacy refills. This is a busy practice and existing patients are steamrollered.

I will say that there were times I did not agree or shall I say I was disappointed with the doctor treating me, but that was me just being human. Sometimes we just think doctors can fix everything and have all of the answers and we fail to remember that doctors are just scientists and sometimes just need to deal with the facts of the matter. Now I am sure that not every medical place is perfect but for me I have never had an issue here. As with every doctors office or medical facility you are going to wait. That is the nature of the beast. I would rather wait and have plenty of my time with my doctor than to be pushed thru like a herd of cattle.

You will need to wait almost an hour before someone answers the call. In addition, there is no guarantee that your scheduled appointment is actually scheduled. Their staff may forget to put the appointment in the system after they have told you that you have an appointment and its all your fault. If this was not right next to my house and if Dr. Cohen was not so nice, I would have switched a long time ago. This office practices "concierge…read moremedicine" meaning that you can't have more than one appointment without paying, yes, $1500 for a second appointment. Just a warning since it can be so difficult to find a GP and constantly switching doctors is a waste of time. I also got an extra charge not covered by insurance, because a basic visit here includes more than an annual wellness visit for most insurance companies. Yet the level of care felt pretty basic, not above and beyond unfortunately. Plus I ended up with a massive bruise on my arm from getting my blood drawn which lasted for over a week. You don't get that from every nurse.
