One would think that a restaurant of that name would normally be quite good, and normally, it is. I have been to multiple BPs where the service and food were excellent but this particular location has not impressed me. The prices were considerably high for food that wasn't anything special. The portion sizes are just normal as well. The only saving grace for my experience was the service, which was friendly and professional. I recently ordered a portion of wings and a drink. The wings were poorly coated and quite greasy. The decor looked less then appetizing as well (the celery was browning and the lettuce bed was completely wilted. The price tag that came with this plate was excessively high comparatively. I have been hearing about similar experiences from friends. This being said, I may try this place one more time in the future just in case my experience was a fluke, but if i'm not satisfied again, I will be dropping my rating to one star. Update: I did try this restaurant again and this time the food was adequate, the service was good. The price is still excessive and the ambiance was nothing out of the ordinary. read more

CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE YOU PAY IT! I recently had lunch with a friend at Cranbrook Boston Pizza. The food was okay. I have been there many times. My mistake is I assumed that they would only charge us for things we actually received. My mistake. My bad. When I go home I looked closer at the bill and realized that we had been charged for 2 items that belonged to someone else and didn't charge us for 1 item that we did get. The next time I was in Cranbrook (4 days later), I stopped at Boston Pizza. I would have expected them to just credit my credit card with the amount of their error. But no, their only solution would be to offer me a customer credit that I could claim on my next visit to their place. The amount of money wasn't that significant ($16.79), but I thought that because it was their mistake that the proper action would be to just refund the amount to my credit card. After thinking about their solution over the next few days, I have decided that they can keep their customer credit. I will just find another place to go for lunch. read more

The new dishwasher they just hired this week sucks! None of the dishes are coming clean, they miss so much while rinsing the dishes to the point where they are putting away all the dishes while they are still greasy. I'm surprised they are letting them stay. read more

Went out with the family for dinner, absolutely the worst service we have received at any restaurant ever. Ordered apples they showed up with our meals. Had to track down our server to get utensils so we could eat our meals, then had to track them down to get the parm and chili flakes for our pasta, from the time our meal got dropped off we never saw our server and not one single drink refill until tracking down a manager, and then the bill was incorrect at the end of it all, did I mention we also had to track someone down for to go boxes. Then sat and waited 20 minutes for the bill that never came.... you guessed it we had to track down someone to get the bill. I feel for the servers as this is clearly a staffing issue by very very poor managment/ownership. Was not even given a discount for the meal dent 200.00 dollars and can honestly say the worst dining experience I have had. Be better. Also your manager decided that it would be appropriate to touch my 18 month old daughter by pinching her cheek. Tell him to keep his hands off of people's children. read more

You you like overpaying this is the place for you. Had the beef dip, 1 1/2 thin slices of beef. Had a beef dip in Drumheller and it was the same. Had a burger the next time (not my choice to go there) much better a good size burger and left satisfied. If you go, question the beef dip if you decide to order one. Went in for supper just after the evening rush, my wife suffers from a bad food allergy and the staff/management where absolutely great in accommodating us, the food was very tasty and prepared nicely, a shout out to the kitchen, the serving staff was friend and the manager Shauna deserves a shout out for running a very good show. This is probably the worst-run restaurant I (or any of my colleagues) have ever been to. We were staying in Cranbrook for work for two weeks and decided to try Boston Pizza. Well... not only were they severely understaffed (thus we had to wait forever for everything as well as wander around the restaurant initially to find someone to seat us), but they messed up our initial order. I ordered chicken with my order and there was none that came with my meal. But because of the sauces and mushrooms, it was difficult to tell. No one could tell if there was chicken in it, so we asked our waitress - she said yes. After I finished the meal, she confessed that there was no actual chicken, she'd forgotten. She never apologized or anything. Then, she took two coca-cola orders off our bill, when I asked for my meal to be taken off instead because I didn't get what I ordered, she said she couldn't because I'd eaten the whole thing. What a joke! So I filed a complaint, and the owner offered a coupon in return. So we decided to try BP again, we got a good waitress. Except... it turned out the owner had never actually sent the coupon (she said she had). But our waitress was able to make it work so we were ok. So, in a rush, for a 3rd time we ordered delivery (our fault, right?) Except... they AGAIN FORGOT TO ADD CHICKEN!!! Not to mention, they only gave us two sets of cutlery for 4 people. Have visited on many occasions but tonight was the worst. Decided to go after work for drinks and appys and have to say I won't be back in a hurry. We were seated next to a table of over served guys who were very loud and obnoxious - when the server came to take our order I said that 'they were kind of annoying' to which she replied "well they are regulars and I'm not kicking them out" and she walked away. I'm a Canadian who has been living in the USA for almost four years now, and when we come back to Canada, Boston Pizza is always on our list of places to go - we really love the food! The Cranbrook location, as evidenced by the multiple Yelp reviews, is a train wreck. It's obvious most of the wait staff were hired for their looks and not their skills. In our case, we arrived a little after 5pm and were offered outdoor seating because that was the only place they had space for a high chair. OK, not a problem, it was a nice evening. At least 15 minutes went by before our server came out to ask for drink orders. We ordered everything at once, and I said the words "we'll start with the pizza bread". Our drinks came out 5 minutes later, so that was good. 35 minutes later, still no appetizer, so I tracked down our server to ask if the order had been placed. She said yes. Another 5-10 minutes pass, and our pizza bread comes out - the person who brings it to us announces it as Bandera bread, not what we ordered. The bread is luke warm, crunchy and overcooked. We're so famished we start to eat it. Three minutes later, our Perogy Pizza comes out. Clearly the whole "start with the appetizer" was lost on our server, as I'm sure the Bandera bread was finished long ago and she didn't bring it out. I ask why we got Bandera bread instead of pizza bread, and she says "That IS pizza bread". We've had pizza bread dozens of times, and this was NOT the usual stuff. I don't care to argue at this point. I take a big bite of the Perogy pizza, and almost start crying it's so spicy. It's ridiculously over spiced, so the point of having little flavor. My wife eats the pizza (she's almost immune to spicy food) and my dinner is the overcooked mystery bread and some of my kid's French fries. My wife happens to get one refill of her drink, I never do. Our server never comes back to ask if we like our food. She get zero tip when we leave, quite disappointed in our visit to Boston Pizza, a place we'd been looking forward to going for months. We'll go to the Boston Pizza in Calgary, where we know the owner cares about hiring competent wait and cook staff. read more

Came here twice in one week. Extremely slow service in the bar. First visit the bar was mostly empty, and the two waitresses on shift continued their private chat while we waited for a drink. And when the drinks were empty, once again a long wait to be noticed and served. Second visit, different staff and same thing. Would hate to see how things are if it gets actually busy. read more

Stopped in here for takeout. it was okay. They did seat us and serve us water/drinks while we waited. The food took about half an hour, despite being pretty simple. The building is fairly nice. The food was mediocre. Some more thought needs to go into serving things in small plastic containers. When you don't mix the salad up before putting it into the container for me, it is rather difficult to eat. I basically had a section with corn, a section with tomato, etc, because the container wasn't large enough to mix things myself. read more

Rough. Bathrooms were nasty. girlfriend and I ordered the spinach artichoke dip and the bread was tasteless and cold. Then our pizza came and it tasted like cardboard, and was also not hot, but lukewarm, like it'd sat in the kitchen for 20 minutes before it came out to us. My girlfriend was verging on tears because she felt so bad I had to spend a ton of money on food that was terrible. Waitress was nice I guess. Super disappointed, won't be back. 67$ I'll never get back. For those of you reading, I am easily pleased.. I'm not picky. I could move past the bathrooms and the crappy appitizer, but pizza is literally in their name, and they dropped the ball hard on this one. Usually I find this restaurant excellent, but this time was a little less than usual... This past visit wasnt as good as usual. It wasnt a very busy night when I came in, yet the food once I ordered still took quite a long time to arrive.. 45 mins when there were fewer than ten tables. The service from the waitress though was exceptional as she was very apologetic for the slow times in the kitchen. I have eaten at this restaurant many times. My experiences have been very good. The servers are friendly and normally quite on top of refilling drinks and taking orders when people are ready. The kitchen can be a little slow at times, but that goes along with how busy this place usually is. The food is always good, I have yet to experience a bad meal. we stopped here for lunch, total disaster. firstly we had to ask for cutlery and napkins, then when my montreal sandwich arrived the fries were cold and when I asked for some ketchup waitress arrived approx. 15 mins later telling me she had been delayed so no reason to deliver the ketchup, I ate the cold fries straight up. the montreal sandwich was $14,95 very very overpriced and arrived with a mere offering of cold fries. enjoyable?? not at all, all the time the waitress told us we had come at a good time when it was not busy, what would I have rec'd had it been busy? read more
