I ended up spending about 10 minutes browsing the amazing crafts, gifts, artwork, and more in this lovely establishment. The owner was even making some kind of commissioned piece at the counter when I went to pay which I thought was neat. For a gift shop on main street of EA, I expected the prices to be MUCH higher and was plesantly surprised by how reasonable they were. I ended up buying some homemade bath bombs for myself but plan to return soon to get some gifts for the holidays. This is the perfect place to stop to get gifts for everyone in your life! Lots of parking available on the street.

I ordered Valentine's Day flowers that were never delivered. I called the next day and left a…read moredetailed message, and called again the following business day but got no response. I then contacted my credit card company, which issued a temporary credit while it investigated. After more than two months, I just learned the credit is now permanent. But though I got my money back, my girlfriend never got her flowers and to this day I have yet to get a response from Elaine's. No apology. No explanation. Nothing. Needless to say, I will not be using Elaine's this Mother's Day or for any future occasion.

It is filled with mystical items and something for everyone. There was a beautiful selection of crystals, jewelry, cards, candles, etc. There is a lot of different stuff here to look at so you could really spend some time in here. Walking past this store - something caught my eye - and I had to go in for a closer look. What it…read morewas that caught my eye were bonsai trees - and for once - you could tell that they weren't just regular bushes trimmed up quickly to resemble a bonsai, but these were grown over time - neatly trimmed and molded into something really special and unique. Interestingly though - they were not all that expensive for what you got. However - the bonsai were not the only thing that caught my eyes. I was soon looking over an endless selection of items - ranging from down right unique and interesting to typical marital arts paraphernalia. And just as amazing as the selection was the price. No matter what I looked at - the price was as amazing as the item itself and though some of these things I've only seen in high prices gift shops - these prices were anything but high priced. In addition to the selection of merchandise - the man tending to the shop was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and genuine. If I lived closer I would have signed up for some classes. I'm sure the recipient of our gifts purchased here will smile and hopefully they will too visit the store and get me something there as well. The store was nicely stocked, clean and had the variety I needed. Because I cannot think of one thing that they could improve upon - other then maybe opening a shop up in Silver Creek - I give this my 5 star!

I had a little spare time while passing by again today, and pulled in. I was immediately greeted by Riley, a good natured Golden Retriever with a tail on non-stop wag mode. Passing through the door, I was also hailed by Dan Curtis, who owns the shop with his wife, Julie. Dan warmly welcomed me right away. For a small, cozy shop in someone's home, it is PACKED full of lovely things; handmade candles, birdhouses, decorative hand painted signs, antiqued furniture, floral arrangements, tea, etc. And even though the sheer amount of goods was a little staggering, there was definitely order to it. I was immediately charmed. While I browsed, Dan chatted with me and another customer perusing the shelves. "95% of the things you see in the shop are made right here by my bride," he informed me. "There's nothing she can't do." Looking around, it was hard not to be impressed. A few minutes later, Julie came out, and like her husband, I found her very gracious and welcoming. She was happy to chat with us. For handmade things, I was surprised to see that the prices really weren't as high as I expected them to be. I picked out three wall accents, and I think I spent less than forty bucks. Not bad. I could have bought more (and wanted to) but my budget wouldn't allow it. This place is awesome, and I love love love supporting a local business, especially one run by such friendly people. I'll definitely be back - they have great gifts! Oh, and a tip - if you can't make it in during normal hours, you can make an appointment. And if you swing by off hours (within reason, obviously) and Dan happens to be in the shop, he'll open it up for you. Yay for a great locally owned shop! (PS.
