This was my first time ordering from Boston Firewood, and it was a very easy process. Paul (the owner) is very easy to reach, and delivers quickly (even all the way out here to Natick). His kiln dried wood is truly dry, and burns super clean. I ordered a face cord and have a rack that fits exactly that amount. Paul said he likes to err on the side of delivering a bit more than the customer ordered. After stacking the wood, I am confident that is true (and then some!). When Paul learned that this was my first time ordering bulk firewood, he gave me a new pair of leather work gloves to help with stacking. I contacted other companies for kiln-dried firewood. The prices certainly scared me away. And, frankly, I knew nothing about kiln-dried wood. But, this wood from Boston Firewood has worked out well. It burns slow and is much cleaner than seasoned. The concern and risk with seasoned firewood that you find on Craigslist or the internet, is that you really don't know whether it's dry and seasoned because you don't know if they guys selling it are honest. I mean, most tree guys are not highly reputable. But Boston Firewood is reputable. And the wood is dry. I'm very satisfied with the wood and the price was more competitive than the other vendors. Paul has been my go to firewood guy for the past three years. He's wonderful to work with. He's always nice, funny, responsive and has great people working for him. The firewood is amazing. It's clean, dry and burns great. They bring it all in bundles which they will stack wherever you need them to. I find that the bundles are very convenient to bring up into your house all winter long; no need to fuss with loading the logs into a carrier, just grab a bundle and walk upstairs! I can't speak highly enough about Paul and Bostonfirewood. They are so fast at unloading their truck and delivering, even down narrow alleys and cramped basements. Excellent firewood quality. As someone who makes a lot of fires, I know what good wood is - and this stuff is top notch. I called and left a message to get pricing on 1/2 cord, and Paul called back quickly. He's a nice guy to talk to and very transparent. We communicated via text on delivery timeframe, and throwing in a free bag of kindling and a coffee cake is a really nice personal touch. The wood is split in good sizes - the 1/2 cord I got was about 10% kindling size, and the rest medium - nothing too big that needs to be split again. Paul the owner is one of the nicest and honest guys I've met. A hard worker who personally delivered it on time and neatly stacked. I've bought kiln dried firewood from several different companies in the past. But the way it was wrapped and stacked (as opposed be just being dumped) made transporting it to my dry basement much, much easier. I didn't have to climb over a messy pile and individually pick up logs. Not to mention all the splinters and waste I previously had to deal with. Have been buying kiln dried firewood for a few years now, but couldn't get my existing company to get back to me on delivery. Decided to try a new company, so I called Paul Fulmore at Boston Firewood. He was very friendly on the phone, quoted me competitive pricing for delivery and communicated with me by text when he would deliver. These guys are the best. At the height of a very busy season Boston Firewood got right back to me and scheduled a delivery the following week. My previous wood provider could only deliver something at the end of January (two months out)!! Paul showed up with a half cord of wood as well as, to my surprise, a "My Grandma's New England coffee cake", a pair of work gloves, and a box of kindling. Talk about amazing customer service! Wonderful doing business with Boston Firewood. Paul returned my call quickly and was very responsive when it came to setting up a delivery date. The wood was stacked neatly, and bundled in just the right number of logs to make it easy to carry a load. I love the way the wood is wrapped up in bundles, too; not something I've seen other firewood companies do. We haven't had any trouble starting and maintaining fires in our wood stove. Just tremendous. Got a 1/2 cord delivered (super easy) yesterday and WOW. This is crazy, truly kiln dried firewood. I'd bet you could start this stuff without kindling... It's that good. I've been getting my firewood delivered from Paul for about 5 years now- and his wood is the very best I've found in the greater Boston area. Paul gets exceptionally high calibre kiln-dried wood from Vermont. His team then wraps a bundle of about a dozen logs in plastic wrap. This makes it a cinch to carry the bundles into your fireplace storage area. Firewood is nicely sized, not overly huge pieces, they are perfect for fitting in our wood stove. Great customer service--including heavy duty gloves for us, kindling and a coffee cake! I've been using Bostonfirewood for many years and I've have been very happy. The firewood is kiln dried, hardwood and burns like a match! Clean and very low smoke. Although I burn it in a firepit, I'm very particular and the quality surpassed my expectations. Boston Firewood is an excellent company. I purchased a cord of wood for my husband's backyard brazier. The wood was high quality and delivered quickly. Paul was a pleasure to work with. This is the BEST firewood! Totally worth the price because every time you want to start a fire you know for sure that it will start quickly and that the wood will burn great all night. The owner was also very reasonable about setting a fair price for loading the wood up stairs in the front and back of the house and then also up the sloped yard to our wood rack.
