It's late fall and the firewood supplier we used last year had a two week backlog and never returned our messages. Tried Steve based on his positive Yelp reviews, and I was not disappointed. He was very responsive and made a same-day delivery since he happened to be in our area (JP) when I called. That was unexpected! The wood is high quality, nicely split and dried. It took less than ten minutes for Steve and his guys to unload a quarter cord of wood from their truck on the street and carry to our side yard, then stack it all. Very efficient. The only inconvenience was that he's cash only, but it was a good value because we didn't have to stack ourselves. Will use them next year for sure. read more

We have used Steve's Firewood for 10 years and couldn't be happier. The wood burns extremely well with lots of little pops that help give wood that great crackly sound. He delivers both wood and the little pieces that help get the fire going (can't remember what they are called). Price seems very fair (no comparison as this is the only company we've used). His business is family-owned and -run too, which I like. The best part? Steve calls every year to let me know that he's coming by so that I can grab some at the same time.
