In the process of opening the truck doors while drying and vacuuming, his mail fell out of the side pocket. We realized this when we returned home. I called Smitty's and they not only went and looked through the parking lot, they pulled the security footage and saw where the envelopes had been swept up and thrown in the big dumpster. It didn't stop there - Maribel actually climbed into the dumpster and dug around for my dads mail - which happened to be checks. She found them! My dad was ecstatic! The whole team went above and beyond. Special shout out also to Bo who I spoke with numerous times on the phone - he actually called me twice! and to Nic and Trey. After I paid, the owner/manager ran out to my car demanding to know why I was getting a wash with a storm coming. I answered honestly: I had used car wax on my headlights and wanted to rinse it off. He immediately escalated, claiming it would "destroy" his machines and could ruin other customers' cars for days. I calmly offered a simple solution--let me wipe the headlights myself before going through. Instead, he launched into a long, angry, rambling lecture. I asked for a refund. He said yes, abruptly walked into the building, and left me standing outside while an employee tried to justify the situation. I eventually went inside and again confirmed I would be refunded. As of tonight, no refund has been issued. After reading other reviews, it's clear this kind of behavior from the owner is not an isolated incident. Multiple customers describe similar rude, confrontational treatment. We left and went to Smitty's Car Wash on 16 near H-E-B--cheaper, newer, better equipment, better vacuums, and genuinely friendly staff. Night-and-day difference. If you expect basic professionalism and respect, I recommend spending your money elsewhere.

A couple minutes later I look up and this man by the name Henry asks me if I was taking pictures because his boss was concerned of my phone flashing. My instincts kicked in because something wasn't right and I go across the street and ask him where his boss literally the second he got across the street and he said he "left. I again ask who's the boss and Henry tells me he is the boss. So he basically lied to me. Then proceeds to try to lie again and tells me the same story and then makes up that he tries to tell this guy that IPhones do that with the flash. I called the number he gave me and it's his number (Henry). NEVER will I ever go to this judgy place and even if I was taking pictures of the car wash it's a PUBLIC place ! The whole point of this is never assume and don't make up lies if you cannot back them ip with the truth.
