They are really doing a good job fixing the place up. There is an office now in the front to come and check in. They take appointments which really helps with the congestion of vehicles in the parking lot. By doing this they are able to get to your car when you drop it off instead of letting it sit there. Recently had a great experience with Mike and the transmission pros at All-Star. Called him in mid-December and he told me he was already booked up through the end of the year so I waited until the first week of January to take my Jeep to them. I called and told Mike when the car hauler would deliver my in-op vehicle and he said no problem, they can deliver it any time that day. Because Mike's recommended wrecker service was delivering the vehicle, I didn't even go to the shop. And Mike included the hauling bill in my rebuild price so it was VERY convenient for me to arrange all of this remotely from Leander. I had regular communications with Mike while he had my Jeep and six days later, he called to tell me that my vehicle was ready for pickup. It's shifting just as good as new (if not a little smoother) even though my 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has 272K miles on it! All-Star delivers great transmission service for a reasonable cost and they provide great customer service along the way. My tranny rebuild has a one-year warranty just in case but so far, I'm driving around very smoothly and very happily in my old Jeep. Honesty is unfortunately a RARE thing it today's world, but Michael Houy proved to me he is an HONEST man! I brought my truck to All-Star Transmissions to have the Allison transmission repaired and was fully expecting to do some major repairs. The truck was throwing all kinds of different codes and was experiencing everything from hard shifts to locking into gear. Michael called and told me my truck was ready and that the cause was a transmission case connector seal and I could pick up my truck. $156.00 dollars for a job I was expecting ten times as much as a minimum. They never answer the phone paid for a full rebuild on my transmission. They didn't call when it was finished and left my window down in a rainstorm. 2 days after picking it up I had driven it less than 60 miles it blows all the transmission fluid out going down the highway leaving my wife and kids stranded had to have it towed back to them. I have taken three cars there over the past year. In one case they forgot to put the transmission fluid in. In he two other cases they say they will call when it's ready and they don't. Today they said they would put it on street with keys so I could pick up after hours. After getting a ride and driving into town they had not does this. Car was in back of lot blocked in. No one ever answers the phone. Customer service is lower than pathetic. I will make the trip to Austin for service in the future. read more

Just picked up my pick up been at all stars for over a week so for over a week I have been lied to I'm a easy going person and understand if I need to leave it longer but no communication they don't answer their phone or call you with a phone call to let you know they may need the vehicle for a couple more days no nothing all I'm saying is becareful if you decide to take your vehicle to all stars I'm sure there are places to go to that run there business as a business never again we'll I use them or refer this so call Co . Here's my review of All-Star Transmissions in Marble Falls: Called to make an appointment, was told "next Wednesday". Dropped it off Wednesday morning, told them I was getting a rental car, hoping for Thursday or Friday. Heard nothing. Friday afternoon I called and was told "we'll be on it first thing Monday morning". Monday went by, late Tuesday afternoon I called and told them to forget it, would be there Wed morning to pick it up. They had it 7 days (Wed morning thru Tue afternoon), hadn't even looked at it!! My rental car cost was almost $400, picked it up and took it to Felps Automotive in Johnson City Wed afternoon, they had it fixed Friday afternoon for less than the rental car cost. Forget about the five-star rating, my rating for All Star Transmission is 0 (zero) stars. I made an APPOINTMENT, left it with them for a week, and they never even looked at it!! read more

I can't rate this place highly enough. We live 1400 miles away. We were visiting my Mom in Marble Falls when my transmission started to fail. A local recommendation sent me to All Star Transmissions. The owner, Michael, rode with me to listen and experience the problem. He identified a couple things that could be wrong, but would require getting into the transmission to be sure. He worked me into their busy schedule first thing the next morning, identified the problem, and had it fixed by that afternoon. He could easily have said that there was much more wrong with my transmission and I would have had little choice but to believe him and pay the price. However, he dealt with me honestly and competently. As it turned out all I needed was a new bearing. Now I'm home, 1400 miles pulling our travel trailer with us and the transmission worked perfectly. Problem solved. But, it goes way beyond that. I was a stranded traveler. Michael demonstrated the highest ethical values that we want to believe still exist in America. Not only did he fix my transmission, but he also renewed my trust and pride in our American system.
