It was nice checking them out for Restaurant Week. This was the first time (that I can recall) they participated and they really had a good deal going. It included a shrimp, a mussel, a sandwich, cookie, chips and a drink, all for $20. In all my years of coming here I have only had their shrimp salad, white fish, and the aforementioned sandwich; and that's basically it, so it was nice to try something different. The mussel really surprised me because I typically dont like them; I guess smoking changes the texture and I approve lol. I love the flavors, the attention to detail, and the consistency. Not to mention the service is typically fast and friendly. One of these days I'll venture to other menu items because I hear the pastrami is killer.

For $20 they offered a sandwich of choice, a bag of chips, 1 jumbo shrimp & smoked mussel, lemonade, and a chocolate chip cookie, which unfortunately they forgot to give me. Nonetheless, I got the BLT Salmon sandwich and nestled up at a table outside to enjoy my lunch. The sandwich was quite tasty. Crispy bacon with smoked salmon, perfect lunch bite. But the star of my lunch was their ginger lemonade. There are no words to describe how delicious this lemonade is. First sip and you automatically think where has this been all my life. Neopol's counter offers a variety of smoked items from fish to purchase by the pound and mussles, to salads, smoked garlic, and sandwiches. The staff is really nice and the food is perfect for a quick bite. I can't wait to try some of their other sandwiches and maybe some of their smoked garlic.

Great welcoming experience and service and conversation with the owner and one of the employees as well. Washington Wine & Spirits has a small selection, but what they offer is carefully and intentionally curated - including some special and harder to find small-production wines! I found a Slovenian wine I wanted to try and a wine I had in New York earlier this year that I've been looking for but haven't been able to find other places (a natural/orange wine from the Italy/Slovenia border), and I wasn't even in the shop that long! (They also offer craft beer and artisanal spirits if that's what you're shopping for.) They also have a small bar where they offer different wines by the glass or flight each month (October's offerings including 2 whites, 1 orange, 1 rose, and 2 reds). They also offer wine tasting every Friday (4-7pm) and a rewards program (you earn points when you spend money in the shop). (They also do private wine tastings starting at $40/person, which I might do soon - how fun!) The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, too. Seriously, for a small shop, what a place! I can't wait to return. A gem of a wine shop.

This location of Eddie's is not my favorite. Parking can be very hard to come by, the garage is tiny which means it can take a bit of time to get in and out of it. I also haven't had the same luck with on a whim cake purchases that I've had at the other location. Eddie's emphasis on local means I can usually find Wild Bay kombucha, Zeke's coffee and Taharka Brothers Ice Cream. Their selection is decent so it meets my one stop shop needs. Eddie's has a decent selection of gluten free and vegan items. It also has snacks and crackers that I can't find at other places in town. I usually peruse the aisles to see what is being offered. I don't always buy but I always look. I also like to peruse Eddie's bakery. With an assortment of artfully done cookies, cupcakes, muffins, tarts, the bakery is definitely a sight to behold. The things that we have purchased from them are done well. Eddie's is a great local grocer and I will definitely continue to visit for my local and special occasion needs. The prices keep it from being my regular grocery destination.
