I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Botero Carts in Charlotte, NC. When I purchased my 2025 Evolution D5 Ranger 4 Plus, the salesperson, Joe, introduced himself as the regional sales manager for the Charlotte store. He specifically told me that my cart would receive a free one-year tune-up and that if service was needed, they would either come to the cart or arrange pickup at no cost to me. That promise was a major factor in my decision to purchase from Botero Carts. Now, one year later, I am being told that this is not true. The logistics manager informed me that they will not provide the service as promised. Her explanation was that Joe, the salesperson who made those promises, no longer works at the North Carolina location and now works at Botero Carts in Myrtle Beach, SC. During our conversation, I was left with the impression that Joe may have made similar promises to other customers that the company does not intend to honor. Whether that is the case or not, as a customer, I do not believe I should be penalized because an employee transferred to another store within the same company. A promise made during the sales process should still be honored by the business. To make matters worse, communication has been extremely poor. I have been instructed to send information and photos by text message to a specific number, but after doing exactly what I was asked, I received no acknowledgment that my information was received and no follow-up regarding my warranty claim. Phone calls are not returned, and text messages often go unanswered. My cart has only recently crossed 200 miles and has been lightly used. Despite that, I have experienced several issues, including: * A malfunctioning backup camera * A burned-out taillight * Uneven front tire wear that suggests the cart may need a front-end alignment The logistics manager did tell me she spoke with her manager and that they would provide a free tune-up, but only if I waited until someone happened to be traveling to my area. Otherwise, I would be responsible for paying to have the cart shipped back to them. That is not what was represented to me when I made the purchase. I am currently still waiting on a warranty replacement for the taillight. I provided all of the information requested and have received absolutely no response confirming receipt of the information or providing any update on the claim. Unfortunately, my experience has left me feeling like once the paperwork was signed and the sale was completed, customer service became an afterthought. I expected much better from a family-owned business. Based on my experience, I would not purchase from Botero Carts again, and I cannot recommend them to others. read more

I met a guy named Cody when I stopped at the dealership and he walked me through their inventory. They have every type of golf cart you can imagine. After leaving the dealership and doing some research, I found that these guys have the best prices in the country! OMG !! We just got a golf cart .. evolution  new model .. It is so well worth every penny we spent !! Ronnie Nixon and Ivan are great !! They save us on not giving up the cart . We were on the verge of giving it up due to miscommunication with our sales person. Ronnie Nixon and Ivan stepped in and save the sell.. we have called and text our sales person many many times no response to the call nor to text so we were giving him benefit of the doubt about the golf cart being delayed kinda finding out it was sitting in the lot already three weeks before we were told , because if Ronnie Nixon and Ivan they saved the deal !! Everything ended up great at the end so we're great proud owners of a brand new golf cart beautiful Golf Cart Neal was our delivery guy !! We were excited to purchase a fully customized, six seater, limo golf cart we had been dreaming about since we sold our older cart two years ago. We got off to a shaky start as the first sales guy wasn't really interested in helping us, but someone else finally took the time, and off to the customizations and closing sales documents we went. What we didn't foresee was the harrowing incident that would unfold not twenty minutes after the Evolution Forester Six Plus was delivered to our house. The cart was beautiful, everything we wanted. But before the kids, and rest of the family, joined us for a ride, we decided to test drive it first. Thank Goodness we did. Not a mile into our initial excursion the back left tire came flying off. The wheel went one way across the street and the cart went careening in the other direction. Luckily, the two of us had our seatbelts on, so as the cart was swerving out of control, we were not thrown out onto the street. Narrowly avoiding a large ditch, the cart came to a grinding halt. At which point we regained our composure and collected the runaway wheel from a neighbors yard. We then called the delivery driver, who turned out to be the store General Manager, and he returned about forty five minutes later to rescue the lame, busted up cart out of the middle of the street. At this point, the General Manager and the owner are incredibly apologetic and say they are willing to do whatever it takes to make this situation right, including bringing us a whole new cart at a discounted rate. I also mentioned our possible desire to cancel the transaction completely, but the owner stated this would place a bad mark on their financing report card and he would prefer to not take that route, but rather make it right and keep our business. Since it was getting later in the day we decided to hold all conversations about the next steps until the start of business the following day. That next day, the owners offers of "anything to make it right", completely changed. The owner talked about how the staff didn't follow the five point inspection before delivering it to us, and they were rushing to finish our modifications, including new rims, to get it out to us before the end of the day, and the torque wrench may not have been set properly, etc, etc, etc. And that basically, their profit margins on the carts are to tight to offer us any kind of discounted price or even a new cart, and that he just wants to cancel the sale and go our separate ways. So this is what we did. They have decided to not take any responsibility for our near death experience, that was the direct result of their negligence. Maybe we should have jacked up the cart and inspected it ourselves, but we naively thought that this "professional" golf cart business had taken care of all safety issues before delivering it to us. I suppose we'll chalk it up as a lesson learned and just be thankful we're still alive and not maimed for life. read more

I love the golf cart we bought. But, it was a hassle to get it the way we originally ordered it. After 3 months it was finally fixed by a manager and I am happy we finally got what we ordered. So, yes, I would still get a cart from here but I would make sure the order for it has ALL the details listed and don't accept and order that isn't fully complete. The cart is wonderful and I love it, it was just such a huge hassle to get anyone to help fix what should have been an easy fix. read more
