Driver number 7326 was very unprofessional when delivering propane this evening. I am on automatic delivery services for our propane which heats our home, gives us hot water, runs the generator, and the stove. To my surprise on the day we are celebrating Thanksgiving with friends and family hosted at my home- the house smelled of propane. Checking the tank it was at 7%. Mind you i had just returned home from a structure fire and needed to shower whilst everyone was cooking dinner. I will not hesitate to say the women that originally answered the phone was great and we got propane delivered shortly after. However my lovely ring camera pointed at the propane tank caught the delivery person complaining about the delivery, and that he has family at home too. This is His job. Its Saturday yes sure- but had there had been automatic delivery like I am signed up for this would not have ever been an issue. Not my fault the company failed to do their job in the first place. So it was lovely to walk outside to tip the delivery person for the inconvenience even though- it was their fault to begin with- and be yelled at for it being on 7% and not completely out stating it could have waited until Monday. (Again were cooking Thanksgiving dinner,there's 12 ppl visiting that need to shower, preferably in hot water heated by propane and its supposed to be in the 30s so no delivery guy- that aint lasting until Monday )The funnier part of the matter was he yelled at a guest of my home and my girlfriend who went out to greet him. Needless to say his tip went back into my friends pocket and another propane company was immediately contacted to switch services. read more

Horrible customer service the girl that works in billing Melissa is terrible she's rude nasty, she gives the worst attitude ever.. she doesn't know how to talk to her customers and she loves to change the words around. She needs to take classes on how to deal with customer service and be a little more professional or sensitive to her customers.. read more

Bottini took over Wilson in 2023. I am located in Cold spring and find they don t even do the job they say they do. They serviced my 2 boilers last jan, 12 month after and after 4 days of no heat and no hot water at christmas and many promisses to come and deal with this emergency, i am still with not hot water. Downey came and found the filters clogged and dirty...i certainly wouldn t recommend Bottini. Try Pidala or Downey. read more

BOTTINI Fuel in Saugerties NY. I was assaulted by one of their employee/drivers at 7AM today. He made a left turn into traffic with a propane truck coming out of their yard at the train tracks in Saugerties. I was going 30 miles per hour and was able to brake and avoid a collision. When this happened I simply threw up my arms and shook my head. He was obviously aware of what he did because he saw me do that in his outside driver side mirror. So the light in front of price chopper was red and there were a few cars stopped in front of us. He jumped out of the truck and ran to my car yelling and cursing at me. He was cursing at me and spitting while his face was red and veins popped from his temples. He banged on my windows and tried to open my door. I was petrified and wearing my work uniform so he could tell where I work and knew my car now too. It didn't occur to me to take pictures right away but as soon as I started fumbling for my phone he got back in the truck. I called the company several times and the police. No one from bottini called me back until 1:30 PM. The manager was very rude, never apologized or said anything about how embarrassing the company was. He only said it's being handled internally. I asked how and he took a nasty tone with me and just repeated himself. Bad management bad business bad driver!! read more

When I first signed up for service with this company I found the customer service (account rep) agent that we got to be down right rude! We (wife & I) even complained and it seems the company took the complaint serious but the rep was still slightly rude, probably pissed that I complained. I use this company only because the tanks they own are already in place at my home and I didn't want the hassle of having them moved during the cold season. If you have an option for a propane provider and/or don't have the worry of having the tanks moved I would consider a competitor. My fuel at home comes automatically and that's probably the best relationship you will get from the vendor because you don't have to roll the dice in getting a rep that hates his job. Since enrolling in automatic fuel delivery I have had no problems with service, however I do not use them for maintenance of my heating system. read more

This company misdiagnosed my heating issues, let me run out of oil in the winter and ignored by increased oil consumption while taking thousands of dollars out of my pocket all winter. Sadly the delivery man couldn't wait more than 5 minutes while I called the office to make a payment. My wallet was 8n my car and my husband had my card. So as I was on the phone with Bottini the driver drove away. Here is the irony he went the wrong way. The time it took him to drive back past my house would have beeb .ore time than if he would have had patience and let me resolve the issue. His urgency to get his route done and ontime superceded customer service. And now they lost a customer. Granted in scheme of.things my money doesn't mean much. This company was recommended to us and we started using them as our heating oil provider. We did not sign up for their auto delivery service. It worked out ok in the beginning but we are stuck paying a premium every time because we are not an auto delivery customer that is locked at their fixed price. Yes, we were somehow paying a higher than normal real market price. When you need to schedule a service call, you must also plan 3-4 months ahead which is ridiculous. The service guy we had was actually very good but we are not a fan of the fixed price lock plan or contract because the price is controlled by the company & not by the supply & demand market. After talking with a neighbor, they recommended another local heating oil company without the price lock gimmick or contract. Months later, when we called to schedule the annual boiler cleaning service, we were told by the customer service agent that they do not provide boiler service unless you buy heating oil directly from them. Guess what, we ultimately found another company that does the heating oil annual boiler cleaning at a better price. There is also no need to wait 3-4 months for a service call either. Buying heating oil and having your boiler service annually should be simple, but this company put a bunch of rules and policies in place to deter good customers. read more

I am very disappointed with this company. We have been customers for ten years and the service keeps getting worse and worse. They advertise that they have 24 hours service, and that is completely false! On a very cold day our boiler stopped working and we called at 4:30 a.m., to be told that we are third on the list. Well, not so...our boiled was fixed, at 4:30 p.m. Only to break down again two days later, on another cold day. Even though we have a top of the line policy it doesn't matter. We are now over 12 hours without heat. Thank God I bought that service contract from Bottini!! Their rep told us this morning that it would be sometime today? Couldn't narrow it down any further. We are longtime customers of this company, bought the furnace from them in 2013, and the quality of service has gone down drastically. Their sales people are very pleasant, and very good at ensuring that Bottini can plan head by having customers lock in fuel prices, budget payment plans, etc. I wish they would extend the same courtesy to their customers and allow us to plan ahead by having prompt service and giving us a specific time of arrival. I URGENTLY need an oil fired hot water heater replaced at the house and had sales here this morning. I was advised I had to have an automatic delivery scheduled for one year in order to have my hot water replaced (no one told me this during initial phone call). I advised that I had several hundred wrapped up in another oil company and unable to do automatic so that was that. I then called Bottini to check on current oil prices and then explained my situation and said I just need the tank replaced and no automatic delivery for a year (this covers labor for one year if any problem which I am not interested in) and I was told that was acceptable and could proceed. I then had to put half down on a credit card before they would schedule (first time for this in life) only to wait on hold for close to 40 min to be told that per salesman, I MUST have automatic delivery and MUST have chimney inspection before installation (he told me recommended but unnecessary) as 3 units are going into one pipe (this way for 30 years and no problem). I am not into games and businesses must be consistent and upfront with customers. read more

I've been with Bottini for years now. There have been a few times when I couldn't make the full payment, esp in the winter. They have ALWAYS been fair and accomodating with me having to make payments in two parts. I've never had a problem with customer service. 5 stars! read more

Can't say too much because they never showed up. They took over a week to grant me an appointment. Their schedule was not very flexible. Took three phone calls to make the appointment and they didn't show. They were pleasant on the phone I suppose. read more

Called for a Sunday fuel delivery. Told my wife we'd have to wait untill Monday or call back when we run completely out....excuse me ? Operator hung up on my wife. Operator/dispatcher calls back and I answer. She goes on to inform me that her company's policy is to wait untill we completely run out of oil and the boiler shuts off then they'll send a truck. ( I can't make this stuff up) I request the operator/dispatcher's name, she refuses. I ask for her supervisor's name, she gives me a 1st name response. My tank stick shows E, it's 38 degrees and forcasted to drop to 27 tonight and I have 2 young children at home. I'm enrolled in the automatic delivery, and for the last 3 months I've had to call to arrange delivery before I'm charged an extra service fee for restarting my boiler. (Like I attempted today). Don't run out of fuel on Sundays with this company, you'll be left in the cold untill regular business hours. read more

The service at Bottini fuel is horrible. They are supposed to automatically come and fill my tank, which they failed to do. When I called because there was no oil, and no heat, they said that they would send someone but I have waited over four hours, until 11pm at night and no one ever showed. It is 20 degrees and now I will probably have frozen pipes. I plan on calling first thing tomorrow to change oil providers. If you are looking for an oil company in the Hudson Valley, I advise you to look elsewhere. read more

True Cost of LP $4.15 + from Bottini Fuel High LP gas prices. Bottini will show a super low price at their web site but it's not close to the truth. They claim their pricing is up front but far from the truth. Using less then 1500 gals a year adds 40% or more to that price and then add in the $55.00 yearly fee as a "Service Contract" on the tank. What a joke. They explain the service as an inspection on filling up. They state I'm getting an adjustment on that charge too. The standard fee is $85.00. TOTAL COST PER GAL $4.15 PER GAL.(2010-11) They should put that on their web page in their up front pricing. read more

ive unfortunately delt with this terrible company for 10yrs now . but im finally done . not only does their customer service leave much to be desired , their prices are way higher than anyone else , i came home today to find my propane tank capped and the regulator removed because of a "clerical error" . after over 10yrs of dealing with this 3rd rate company , they still wouldnt deliver heating oil unless it was paid in advance . where am i going ? they know where i live for christ sake . my mom , a senior , who pays for her heating oil in advance so she wont run out (to Bottini) , was told last winter when she ran out of heating oil , that they were sorry and would be out in a few days with heating oil . but that there would be a service charge to bleed out the fuel line to the boiler !!!! Bottini provides our oil but we've never needed a service call. Our furnace stopped working and with no heat and temps in the teens , we were concerned the pipes might freeze . So these guys are classic. I've been with another company for 10 yrs+. I wanted to move my business to Bottini and asked if I could get a fuel delivery before a snow storm---at least 24 hrs before. My tank was 1/2 full but I wanted a top off so they delivery guy didn't have to struggle to get to the tank. They told me there would be a $175 charge--IN ADDITION TO THE FUEL COST---because there was a snow storm coming! Sounds like illegal price gouging to me. I am very disappointed in Bottini Fuel Oil. I have been a customer for 20+ years. This year in September, when offered to lock in fuel price at $2.39/gal, I chose to go with the market rate for my deliveries. Fast forward to Feb and when oil companies are charging $1.40/gal, Bottini was planning to deliver my oil next week at $2.29! 10 cents/gallon less than in Sept when oil prices have since plummeted? When I asked why I wouldn't see a better price than $2.29, I got a sales pitch about wholesale vs retail prices. I have been a customer of Bottini Fuel for over 14 years, for the most part they have been professional in their interaction with me. 12/29/17 I receive a call informing me that I am due for a delivery, we set a date of 1/4/18 for delivery. 1/4/18 comes and no delivery, we call and receive every excuse imaginable except the dog ate the keys to the truck. The person on the other end promised me the delivery would be made Friday 1/5/18, I am writing this post at 2215 and still no delivery of oil, I was told a manager would be in contact, no manager ever called, when I called back the person on the other end said a delivery was made, when informed that a delivery was never made to my residence, they said a manager would call, no manager ever called. I placed another call and reached their answering service who stated a service tech will be out to place 10 gallons in my tank and to follow up in the morning. Customer service has hit an all time low for this company, the personell are rude, they lie, and act as if they are doing you a favor. On one of the coldest nights on record, and I am out at gas stations buying kerosene to heat my house while the company I contracted to service me is constantly being deceitful.
