But from food and fun, education facilities from Pre-k to PhD, Boulder has it all. It would be nice if more things were affordable to more people and personally, I would like less snow but I suspect I am in the minority on that one. Visit and test it out before making a decision to stay. Hopefully some of our flaws will be solved someday. Downtown is fun as are the foothills.

They failed to update my information correctly and didn't even list that I am currently unemployed, even though I explained that I had worked in another state and have not been paid since. I only received a single one-time payment from them, and every attempt to get clarification or assistance has been ignored or brushed off. The guy said I had a mental impairment even though I have a disability that doesn't affect me mentally. It really made me mad. It's been a frustrating and stressful experience, especially when you rely on Social Security to provide accurate information and support during major life changes. I truly expected better communication and basic competence. At this point, I feel completely let down and unheard. I truly recommend not going to this office. Nobody seems to know how to do their job....

I have previously experienced both the Boulder and Longmont offices and wasn't excited to return (not that they're worse than those in CA). I decided to give the Louisville office a try, and lo and behold, no wait. The staff were courteous and parking was easy. It is a bit off the freeway but definitely worth the drive.

This department puts the least amount of effort in possible. I've never known them to do anything…read moreelse. There has been drag racing and loud socializing until three in the morning most weekends. Drag racing is prohibited, but they do not care. The law matters little to this department; why is it still allowed to exist? There are better options. Of course there are. Because it fails so consistently, I asked: where are your speed cameras, have you petitioned the state for its guard (because the officers claim there are too few of them for the 200-400 of them), why aren't the roads blockaded where the racing is occurring, are there cameras taking photos of the licenses of all involved vehicles, any officers on the ground, out-of-their vehicles removing individuals, any high dollar tickets handed out? No, to all of the above. My advice: move to a better community. And, apparently defund this department. Those dollars can go to better use elsewhere.
