not good. they are a taxi service in bound Brook. not good. poor service and old dirty cars. not good

Called them to arrange a ride back home from a local bar after the Super Bowl, and the dispatcher snapped at me "how am I supposed to know what time that is?". With that kind of attitude, I decided to take my business elsewhere to a much more accomodating local taxi service. Don't need to get my business to people who can't be even nominally polite over the phone to a potential customer. read more

Trackside has always provided me with excellent service. They're there when I get off the train, and take me home quickly and safely.

Totally unreliable as are most cab companies in this area of Somerset county. For some unknown reason the Bridgewater Station is in a no man's land for taxi services between Somerville and Bound Brook. This is exactly why Uber and Lyft are taking over because of little, no, or poor cab service areas like this. I've gotten hung up on or told no many times from a few different local taxi services or have been dropped off but can't seem to get somebody to pick me back up, so I miss the train. Bound Brook Jack's Taxi Service is really shady avoid them if possible. However, I've had several bad experiences with Trackside Taxi in particular. Picture yourself getting off a train in a remote area you're unfamiliar with where you desperately try several numbers for a taxi and you end up calling this company. Maybe they'll tell you there's no cabs available as you listen in disbelief or will hang up on you or say call back in a few hours. If you do get picked up you may find yourself sharing a ride with a stranger going the long way around to your location to pick him up or drop him off. I'd say use a ride service app instead of calling these guys. read more

My driver was nasty and accused me of intentionally calling their service and traveling to my destination with another taxicab service. One day, I was taking the train and needed a cab from the station to my location. I asked how close they were and he said there's a taxi stand near the station. When I got off the train, I didn't bother to call them back because I saw a taxi sitting outside. I went with that cab, assuming they were waiting for me to get off of the train because I told them I wasn't far sways. By the time I reached my destination (which was a 5 min drive) I receive a phone call asking when I am and inquiring about why I called. I explained that I thought his taxi service was the one sitting outside waiting in the lot (now I know it could've been any taxi service). I had no idea that the service I used wasn't the one I called. He told me the names were different but I wouldn't have been paying attention to that in a rush. That day, I just googled taxi cabs near BBrook station and called the fist one that showed up. Here we are, at least 3 weeks later with the same situation. I'm in a rush and I need to be to the same destination after getting off the train. I google again and call the same number. The guy tells me he remembers I called today and then canceled. I never called them today. He tried to convince me be remembered me and I had no idea what he was referring to because we never met. He informed me that be remembered me because my number was saved. I just said "Okay" and explained that I called a taxi cab once and wound up in the wrong cab by mistake. I made it clear it wasn't intentional (and even if it was, so?!?! I'm not obligated to utilize one service over the other!) He then says "This time I'll take you, but please don't do that again". I again said it wasn't intentional and he clearly wanted to argue so I just stayed quiet until I arrived at my destination, payed, said thanks and got out quickly. I will never use the service again. read more

My work scheduled a pickup to go to Newark airport from south bound Brook with trackside limo. As it began to snow I received a call and we discussed them coming earlier to a lot extra time for slow driving conditions. About 45 minutes before pick up time the driver tells me it's going to cost an extra 100$ which I did not argue bc my company was paying and it was not my decision. About 5 minutes before pickup I receive a call from the driver that he can not take me to the airport. This is unprofessional and extremely poor service. Canceling on a client 5 minutes before pickup is inexcusable. Highly recommend using a different car service. read more

I don't get the negative reviews. I have used these guys for years. Always available and always friendly. Mostly I need a ride in the evening if I am running late. Somtimes in the morning. Never made me miss the train. read more

Never calling this company again. Dispatcher lied to me and told me my cab will arrive in 5 minutes and that it was close by..the weather at the time outside was unbearable to be standing out there..20 minutes passed I called back the same dispatcher answered and I politely asked if the cab is coming or not and he hung up on me. I did not attend the doctors that day.. looking at the reviews on here I'm not shocked. read more

Dispatcher told me they are switching to night people and told me to call back in 20 minutes then they could send someone. I told him no that he needed to tell the night manager and I didn't want to call back. The dispatcher told me I was rude and started screaming down the phone at me then hung up on me. I called back and he tells me the owner gave him the right to do what he wants and he is going to refuse me service and Mark me never to be picked up again. I told him I ride with trackside every day and am a great customer and no one has an issue with me and his reply was too bad he can do what he wants. I can't imagine the owner giving this guy the right to scream at customers. read more

Their drivers are unsafe!!! I see them drive recklessly through my section of Piscataway all the time and doing sometimes double the speed limit down my street which is 25MPH. I even called their office today to give them a piece of my mind and say I will call the cops after seeing one of them driving close to 45 MPH this morning. You think they would care since their phone number is splashed all over their taxi. We have kids on bikes, people who walk dogs, people who walk on the road because there is no sidewalk and children playing. A bunch of asshats in my honest opinion. read more
