My son has had a horrible experience trying to transfer to a new therapist. The overall problem lies with the secretary who was very unkind multiple times and outright rude to a person seeking mental health help. David Fair was brilliant for my grade school son. He worked with him for about 3 years. His warm and practical approach helped my son get over his 4 fears. He was punctual, reliable and helped my son through bullying and sticky thoughts in a kind and thoughtful manner. Highly recommended! Meghan Wood was an amazingly talented therapist for myself. I left 3 messages and not only did they NOT return the call, when I reached the intake coordinator (after multiple attempts) to ask why no one returned my call, she told me it's not her problem! She can't call back everyone who calls!! I told her we waited for a callback and she said we shouldn't have waited, to seek services elsewhere. (Which we certainly did)! Their website suggests something quite different. It states all calls will be returned with 24-48 hrs and the intake coordinator will match you up with a therapist. Shame on them!!!! read more

Don't trust these people at all. Impossible to get in touch with anyone, calls were never returned throughout years of my child being a patient. The therapist we were assigned was useless at best, harmful at worst. Not LGBT friendly at all. The psychiatrist we saw for my child prescribed lithium for what was clearly not bipolar and then failed to monitor levels appropriately (didn't schedule blood tests at the appropriate intervals, and we never got calls back when calling to request lab orders) leading to my child developing lithium toxicity, which landed them in the hospital for the better part of a month (where they were assaulted, but that's another story for another review for Hampstead Hospital) Anyways... Probably don't go here if you're gay, trans, need help with mental health, expect calls returned, or enjoy not being in hospitals read more

They do not answer phone calls. Period. Tried to get an appointment on and off for two years before I gave up. Here's an idea: how about a voice message that you aren't accepting new patients on your machine instead of blowing people off?! read more

A relative of mine called here to try and get a therapist. She was struggling terribly. They never returned her calls after 2 weeks! When she finally got through, the secretary yelled at her. I can not imagine why a therapy center would deliberately inflict further harm on their potential patients. I am disgusted. read more

How is this place still open? We saw someone there several years ago, seemed fine. Tried to get my struggling then 13yo to see someone and NO ONE bothered to return our calls. We very thankfully found a wonderful, caring therapist elsewhere. FF two years, trying to find new psychiatrist, therapist recommended someone at Boundaries. I reluctantly called. I understand Canceling Fees are essential to business practice earnings, show *respect for the Services being provided and consistency with Clients is valuable on both ends . However I came to a regularly scheduled Appointment in April and did the usual say my name and they had " somehow forgotten " to put me in that time slot . So I wasted my time making them a priority trying to get there in between jobs for them to just forget, a great lunch break . I booked another Appointment a week later using poor time judgement so I had to cancel late and understandable getting a Fee for $80 Dollars that was my mess up . However it's unfair to Fee an Appointment *they forgot though yet their insisting I pay $160 constantly mailing bills and called for me to have *full balance ( which I didn't ) for my June Appointment..pushy I might add and perhaps a " Thanks for the $40 you sent", clearly trying . In order to avoid Claims I'll likely have to just pay it . I went recently and both the Provider and Secretary tried to argue it that they both had it in schedule to it *must of been there ..well Hello why didn't they take me then ?! I insisted I pay $40 a month barely agreed and clearly had no Sympathy for fixed incomes either isn't that kind of part of the job ?, a sense of Empathy? Be very careful about their absurd Fees if you go here , definitely greedy money hungry . read more

I used to see a therapist at Boundaries, and had an excellent experience, with my therapist, with Sarah Michaud, who used to be the intake coordinator, and anyone else I dealt with there. Fast forward several years. Life was pretty stressful, and I thought maybe it was time for another round of therapy. My previous therapist isn't there any longer, so I called and left a message. No reply. Called again, no reply. After leaving four messages, I left a message for Ms. (Dr?) Michaud. No reply. I thought that was odd, because she really has an excellent reputation. So one day, i was driving by, and decided to stop in. Ms. Michaud no longer works there. Funny. The website says she does, and she still has voicemail there. Maybe they need to do some housekeeping. Sure does explain why she didn't call me back, though. The receptionist's answer as to why I never got a call back? "We get an awfully lot of calls every day..." Wow. Just wow. I don't know who is in charge of this place, but I was completely blown away. And no, that's not a compliment. read more

For a therapy center, their "front desk" staff is not only unprofessional in not returning calls, but rude. As someone that is currently struggling with significant mental health issues that was referred here by my doctor, I will never work with this center due to the way that I was treated on the phone. Their website indicates that they have a new client intake process and to contact them but they do not return calls and when you do get someone on the phone they immediately cut you off saying they are not accepting new patients. No offers of other practices, no "waiting list, nothing. Compassion goes a long way. This place doesn't have it. read more

I feel that choosing a therapist is really important. My son was being bullied at school and no coping skills. The therapist at Boundaries that was recommended by our pediatrician really helped. He developed some ways to cope and to confront the issue. read more

I had been fairly satisfied with the services provided for my daughter there, however my wife made an appointment for my young daughter with her therapist at 5PM and with her psychiatrist at 6:30pm. When she arrived for her 5pm appointment the therapist Renee began walking my wife and daughter up the stairs to her office, but before they got to the second floor a teenage girl walked into the building and Renee found that she had double booked the 5PM time. At that point she had the audacity to bring my wife and daughter back downstairs and take the other patient in for the session leaving my wife sitting there with my 6 year old ADHD daughter for waiting for her psychiatrist appointment at 6:30. If my daughter hadn't had another appointment to wait for it would be one thing, as she could have come home, but instead of taking her, she was forced to wait for 90 minutes in a snowstorm (and we live a distance away so she could not have left and come back). I find the actions of the therapist extremely unprofessional as well as beyond rude and we now will be looking for a new therapist for my daughter. I am amazed that due to the therapist's mistake my wife and daughter were unable to see the therapist at their scheduled time and then had to wait for the appointment with my daughter's psychiatrist. read more

I have never been so disappointed with a therapy center in my life. I have gone through many a counseling - that the therapist I saw there was sub-par at best. Everything we went over was something I already knew/could learn in a psychology 101 class. I was just really not impressed overall. Then the psychiatrist was the absolute worst part. He saw me once - then never responded to emails or phone calls. Didn't get my my medication for 2 weeks! I had to personally go in and ask about it. Was told it was "just a fluke" but it happened YET AGAIN the next month! Absolute disgrace when those medications are time sensitive. I would say this place is NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY. read more

I have been seeing a therapist at Boundaries for the last six months and she has been extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this practice to any adult. I have also seen the Nurse Practitioner there and she is also excellent. read more

I would not recommend this place. My family and I all went here at different points when I was a teenager. The therapist I said, supposedly was good with adolescents, but I found out much later hadn't had a teenager in her office in years, and normally saw little kids or adults. She was very hard to relate to, and I didn't have a good connection with her, but at the time I wasn't empowered enough to know I had the right to change therapists.I also saw the nutritionest Deb, who is a real eathary spaced out person who didn't help. I believe my parents tried couples counseling at one point with Helin Fri, and that did them no good either. Perhaps there's someone here worth seeing. And they seem to take a lot of insurances so if you need the help and you have to be limited by ensurance then go for it. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother. Maybe give a call and see what you think, maybe they've changed things in the several years since I've beenthere. read more
