The decor, in the rooms & lobby are all dated. My room had two double beds. Comfortable enough & the linens were decent. The furniture was all hacked up & the combined sink/bathroom were all very old. The room rates were only $179.92/nite which is about right for what you got. I will say that for the most part, the staff were very friendly. Also of note was the staff at the restaurant (Grillers) was exceptionally nice & friendly. I would not stay here again.

It's definitely more resort than campground but I love that! It's more a place for their members than off roaders but I believe that if they have available campsites, you are able to just drop in for a fee. There is water and power hook up for your campers at every site and they have a service to empty your RV if needed. There's a couple of pools and hot tubs, a nice store that has everything from food to floaties for the pool to household goods, and washroom stations across the campsite. Lots of families spend all summer out there. It's a great place for children and pets (more dogs than cats I would think) and there's always a nice sense of community here! I will be back every summer with my family for the foreseeable future!!

I was feeling pretty special pitching a tent here for the short period of time my friends owned an RV site. Swimming pools, movie stars. Okay, I didn't see any movie stars but this place is busy and has lots of fun things to do, including having a hot shower after a long, smelly day of activities in the sun. What's that? Yes, I noticed that too. There isn't a hill, let alone a mountain in sight. Change the name of the town to Houses. The Canalta this time was almost as good as the last. Once again, the guy I was travelling with was put on the first floor. Myself and the two other guys in the other truck were sent down the hall 50 feet, and 2 floors up. The white guys on the third and the Indian dude on the first. You bastards haha. Frankly, it should always be the same party, same floor. Popcorn is awesome, and here it is free in the afternoon. It saves travel time for supper if you eat 739 bags of it. The problem with that is though the popcorn is free, plumbing is not a few days later. Thank goodness it wasn't mine. Breakfast was pretty good, staff were great and they had a waterslide. Dammit. No swim shorts and a waterslide. I'm convinced that every hotel chain all buy theirs from the same company because they're exactly the same wherever you go.

The worst part of our stay was the room blowing extremely cold air. I tried boosting the thermostat (no improvement), I tried temperature dials on both registers and I tried this for about 4 hours at all settings. We went swimming and came back during these changes and finally went out for dinner towards evening. I stopped at the reception to complain about the temperature control and asked for a service tech to check this situation out while we were gone. She said a tech was not were available but she could adjust the heat!!!! They have a temp control for each room at the front desk! She turned up the temp and said it should be better now. We came back from supper and the room was warmer and could now adjust the temps. So why are staff turning down temps in the rooms and not turning them up for guests when they arrive? No apology was given and they thought is was kind of funny!!! Needless to say, we will never stay here again. We cancelled our second night we had booked!

This is a big win in my books, because when she is entertained, I can get the necessary unpacking done. So, thank you for that. The hotel room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We had everything we needed. My daughter and husband enjoyed the pool, and we liked that there was a Boston Pizza within walking distance for dinner. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful, the cook outdid herself. We will definitely consider Rocky Mountain House as a future road trip stop :)
