This seems like it would be the perfect place to exercise or have a picnic if I lived in the area! The park was so much larger than I expected it to be. Every time I have gone with my family, we either have the park to ourselves or there are only a couple other kids playing here. Most people end up going to Barnes park, ponds park or one of the other parks with more amenities. I am good with that. Let the crowds stay where they are so we can enjoy the day here at Hess Farm.

The Cottonwood Heights Parks & Recreation system played a major role in my childhood. I've only…read morejust come to this realization, but sifting through my first memories of childhood and then those wonderfully formative elementary school years, it's evident that the local parks are home to some pretty terrific (and terrifying) memories. You don't want to hear about all that, though. So I'll cut to the chase. Anzak Park. In my mind, it was always the tennis park. I've never played tennis there once, but there are some nice courts that were always well-maintained and always busy. To this day they seem pretty well-maintained and a popular place to go whack a few tennis balls with your buds. The pavilion bisects the park. The reservable area actually has power and houses around 100 people. You've got potties and BBQ pits as well, so everyone should be comfy. Kids have a small but serviceable playground, and the southernmost part of the park has two baseball fields. They're not magnificent, but they'll do just fine for the local little leagues. You may see the place spelled as Antczak Park (or perhaps it will get change on Yelp, depending on what the official name is), but honestly, I've only ever seen it as Anzak. I didn't take note of the sign the last time I was here, so perhaps Cottonwood Heights is making an effort to change the spelling. But why make it more complicated than it needs to be. I'm sticking with Anzak.
