Here's a strongly worded and detailed review that conveys your experience clearly and powerfully without violating community guidelines (which often filter out profanity or threats). You can copy and paste this to platforms like Yelp, TripAdvisor, Google Reviews, or Facebook: DO NOT BOOK WITH BOUNTY HUNTER FISHING CHARTERS - Absolute Scam and Disgraceful Experience! My group of 9 booked what was supposed to be a 10-hour mixed bag fishing trip with Bounty Hunter Fishing Charters, and it turned into one of the worst, most offensive, and misleading experiences I've ever had on the water. First off, the trip was advertised as a targeted trip for porgies, black sea bass, blackfish, bluefish, and striped bass. Not a single real effort was made to fish for those species. We were taken to one poor spot and sat there for 3 HOURS catching nothing but undersized throwbacks. Only after I complained did they move, and the results were the same. Not once did they switch up tactics or even attempt to find fish elsewhere. This was false advertising at its worst. To make things even more insulting, the boat was NOT the vessel they advertised. They told us we'd be on the bigger boat, but they crammed us onto the smaller one, without warning. We also had to change our travel plans last minute because Eric Morrow, the owner/captain, called me the night before and changed the boarding location to Rhode Island, causing us to pay for extra travel, tolls, and a rental car. Then to add more insult, Eric didn't even captain the boat like advertised. But by far the most disgusting part of the experience was the behavior of the mates. There was an obvious racist undertone to the entire interaction - racist jokes, commentary, and uncomfortable energy throughout the trip. Half the boat was my group, and we did not feel welcome or respected in any way. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially from a business that serves the public. We spent over $1,700 just to get treated like garbage, taken to a bad fishing spot, hear racial remarks, and get nothing close to what was promised. And after all that, the owner offered us a measly $40 credit for a future trip - as if we would ever step foot on that boat again! If you're looking for a real fishing experience, one where you're treated like a valued customer and actually get what you paid for, STAY AWAY from Bounty Hunter Fishing Charters. They are unprofessional, disorganized, dishonest, and should be ashamed of the way they conduct business. read more

Bucket list was to shark dive! Was hoping to see a Great White, but unfortunately not this time. Captain Joe was a very nice guy. Sharks weren't coming as fast as we hoped but he made sure we stayed until we saw them. Ended up seeing a a few Blues, a couple Mako, some dolphins, and seals. The captains arrived on time at the pickup location, and we headed out a little after 8am. If they hire more staff it would be cool if they did a photo package or sold some merchandise, but other than that it was a fun trip! read more

Absolutely horrible experience. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Over the last few years we have booked this company to go shark diving, six consecutive times our trip has been cancelled and we still have yet to be refunded our deposit. Our attempt last year to go shark diving turned into a sickly nine hour waste of time and money. Our boat's "engine died" ( I was later told that the boat ran out of gas by another captain) once we reached past Martha's Vineyard, we were unable to use the cage and instead sat stranded in the ocean for hours awaiting a tow. Everyone was frustrated, sick and upset, it took another 6 hours to be towed in to the marina. No one in our party received a phone call, text, email or any type of apology from this company for ruining our day due to their negligence. Reluctantly, we allowed the company to keep our deposit as we planned to reschedule a trip this year (big mistake). My husband and I "thought" we scheduled a trip this August and communicated countless times with a captain whose information we had. The day before our supposedly scheduled reservation we got no confirmation email, so I called the company and spoke with Captain Eric, the owner. Captain Eric was rude and completely unable to answer any questions as he was too busy "eating breakfast". He had no recollection of last years disaster and our trip stuck at sea, he had no clue if we had a reservation and couldn't confirm our trip. He did get back to me later that day (the day before our trip) and confirmed we were indeed scheduled only to text me a few hours later to say the trip was cancelled due to the weather. Since my husband and I had taken a few days off of work, booked a hotel nearby and made other special arrangements for this trip, we swung by the marina the morning of the "cancelled" trip and discovered that the Bounty Hunter Shark Dive trips leave out of a different marina this year. Had our trip not been cancelled we would have gone to the same marina we had in years past and been at the wrong one - as there was no email or other communication that the dock to get on the boat was different. At this point we assume that our reservation was never booked in the first place and the captain told us our trip was cancelled because he couldn't fit us on the boat. I have no knowledge of maritime weather concerns or sailing condition requirements, but the day our trip was "cancelled" was absolutely glorious without a cloud in the sky and no wind. I spoke with two yachtman at the marina about the weather conditions that day and they agreed that it was very safe to sail. At this point I communicated that I wanted my money back from Captain Eric immediately and he could refund me electronically. He refused to do so and said he would mail a check. It has been two weeks and we still haven't received our money back (we live 45 mins and one state away). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You will be disappointed and out of 100's of dollars. Poorly run, sadly operated and zero respect or professionalism. read more

Been out with this boat and Captain twice so far. Not a bad experience. Had fun catching a lot of black bass. The mates were great with my 9 year old. I had a trip canceled on me but it was ok cuz I read on their website that it could happen due to weather or not enough people being booked. I thought it was cool that they call you the night before if they have to cancel. I used to go out of Glocester with a different company and there were some mornings we'd all show up and the Captain told us he's canceling due to weather. I look forward to using this boat again. read more

Awesome trip Cap put us on the fish and kept us on them. The mate was awesome. Took care of everything. Didn't have to lift a finger, he was there with it all. Plenty of bait, helping wherever it was needed. DO NOT hesitate to book with them read more

Made a special trip just to do this - 5+ hr drive each way to do this with friends. You can't get anyone to call you back but they call us the night before after we just arrived at the hotel that they are canceling the trip. On top of that, we still didn't receive the deposit back from them and have to file a dispute with our credit card company. It was a complete waste of time and money and still wasting time to get our deposits back. Unreal. read more

My Son and I went out with captain Keith yesterday, and it was fantastic. The captain was very courteous and got us involved right away, which made things fun. Once we arrived out in open ocean, it did take a long time to get sharks nearby, but captain Keith was persistent and eventually brought blue sharks and makos to the cage. The sharks were so close we could have touched them, yet we were always safe. I saw some negative reviews about the size of the boat and sea sickness. You need to understand what you are signing up for. This isn't a gentle cruise. The boat goes way out, and the captain drives fast (thankfully). You should only do this if you're comfortable with Fishing-size boats, rough waves, and jumping in a floating cage. If you are, you will really enjoy this once in a lifetime experience! read more

Thanks to Captain Eric and his crew we had an excellent days fishing for Black Sea Bass and Porgies with our full limit caught and even a striped bass to boot (sadly too small to keep). They were very attentive and moved inshore when one of our party got sea sick and put us on the fish from the get go. Highly recommend fishing with these guys!! read more

I would give this company negative stars if possible. SO disappointed. This looked like a great opportunity to send my husband out for his 30th birthday to go shark cage diving and have the time of his life. What I did not realize is that he would not be going even though an entire trip to the cape was planned in order for him to do so. I called and reserved weeks in advance and told Kelly that it was my husbands birthday gift from me. I told my husband what I had planned and told him to take some extra time off of work to be able to get away and enjoy vacation with his family. He was so beyond excited and had wanted to shark cage dive ever since he was a kid. We got to the cape, checked into our hotel and enjoyed Saturday and Sunday in the adorable towns. I called bounty hunter many times to inquire about the reservation and where exactly to go when I drop my husband off for his cage dive on Monday. They were very hard to get any information out of. I then called on Sunday afternoon only to get pushed around again and told I'd get a call back. Fast forward towards the end of the day where I called again, around 530. No one answered, but I did get called back at 6pm while we were waiting for our dinner at a local restaurant. I was told they weren't going out because there weren't enough people to go. I am understanding, however, you waited until the VERY last minute to tell me this and cancel. This was my birthday present to my husband. I didn't even get him a pair of socks... this was an excursion, and experience he would never forget, and this was it. He was beyond excited. We were literally in the cape so he could go shark cage diving. Such a disappointment. If you are considering booking with them, please know that you will get little to no information regarding your trip and you may get cancelled on the night before. Proceed with caution. What a total fail bounty hunters charters... you guys win the suck award of the year. read more

Booked a caged shark dive With Bounty Hunter Shark Adventures as it's on our bucket list of things to do. Was super excited we booked our trip, spent our vacation time, got a hotel, rent a car, and flights seeing as we are coming from Atlanta. Everything was set we recieved a confirmation email 2 days before. The day of we showed up to Yarmouth at the designated peir and we waited. The other 2 groups of 2 showed up too and we all stood there 7:40am as we were supposed to be 20 min early and 8:00 came and went 8:15 turned into 8:30 and 9:00 before each group started getting on the phones trying to get a hold of anyone at the company. We had 3 phone numbers and called waited a little and would call again. When we finally did get a hold of someone they told us the trip had been canceled and someone should have let us know before they were adament about sending emails noone got and finally one of their captains had come down to the dock to tell us we weren't going out after waiting for 2 hours. They said we were not going out due to dredging of the canal. This didn't seem right. Work on a canal seems like something you would be aware of. So I called around and finally got to the harbor master's office who were incredibly helpful and nice. They told me that they were definitely aware these things are scheduled out a long time in advance and then they remind them multiple times in the month and weeks via email leading up to the work. So this company knew hey weren't going to be able to book or go out on these dates and still did and we built a trip around it. That being said we decided to try again next year and so we did we again booked our trip car, hotel, flights, vacation time etc. Again recieved multiple emails the days leading up to and 2 days before. To only get a text saying the trip was canceled due to weather. Granted I'm not a sailor but the weather conditions seem pretty calm and sunny with blue skies. I have no idea how this company is able to stay in business they are rude and severely unprofessional. Do yourself a favor don't waste your time with captain Eric Morrow and Bounty Hunter Shark Adventures. read more

WORST FISHING TRIP EVER Myself and five other gentlemen have been driving from Delaware to fish with captain Eric every Father's Day weekend for the last four years. Last year he suggested that we come up for a Cod trip the end of August or the beginning of September. We scheduled a trip with him last August, but he had to cancel. No problem! We came up this Father's Day and his captain Vinny was there to take us out. He said that Eric purchase a head boat and was no longer doing the six men trips. Once again, no problem. We fished with captain Vinny (who I since learned quit) and had a decent trip. We had also scheduled a Cod trip for this September 1, 2019. Upon arrival we met with captain Jeff who proceed to tell us we were late and rushed us onto the boat. We didn't even know what time were supposed to be going out because Eric never got back to the gentleman that organizes our trips to give us a time. We just planned on being there at 5 am. Due to an accident on the highway we arrived at 5:13 am. Anyway upon getting on the boat the captain informed us that we would be going for a 2 1/2 steam out to the fishing grounds. That's when all the problems begin. He informed us that he was the fluke captain and didn't run these kinds of trips, he only found out about the trip 2 days prior, he didn't have all the supplies he needed and he didn't really know the spots to go to. On top of everything else, the restroom wasn't working. We were still willing to give it a try. When we initially spoke to Eric about the trip, he told us that we would come back with anywhere from 100 - 200 lbs of fillets. Prior to getting up there, I asked the gentleman that organizes our trips every year what the deal was with the filleting of the fish. He told me that according to Eric, that agreement would have to be made between us and the mate. We went to three different fishing spots and caught very little fish. We had some Haddock and two barely legal Cod. The fourth spot we went to the fishing picked up a little and the fishing at the last spot was very good, but we were only there 15 minutes before Jeff told us it was time to go. We ended up with 6 Cod (the biggest of which was 24 inches) and 71 Haddock. This isn't what I have a problem with. The gentleman that organized the trip went down below to lay down. The rest of us were in the cabin. We look out to find Jeff filleting the fish. We figured maybe an agreement had been made between Jeff and the gentleman that organized the trip. Upon arrival at the dock, we gave Jeff a $60 tip and started unloading. At that point one of the other guys told me that Jeff said we owed him 20% of the $1400 we paid for the trip for filleting the fish. We tried to explain to him that we never asked him to fillet the fish and he never asked us did we want him to. I told the gentleman that organized the trip to call Eric. He called Eric only to find that Eric wasn't understanding what he was saying either. Finally, Eric told him to just take the fish and he would pay Jeff out of his pocket, but he wasn't going to tell every captain up there never to fish with us again. WOW. We went back down to the boat to find Jeff having a fit and throwing the fish on the dock in as hard as he could in an attempt to break the bags. He starting yelling at me. One of the things he said was "I'm going to make sure you don't fish from Maine to Florida". What a joke. I told him I wasn't going to get indignant with him. At the top of his lungs, he yell to me and I quote "FUCK YOU, FUCK ALL OF YOU, I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL". And with all of that said, the boat next to us had so much fish that they had to wheel barrel it up off the dock. I will never recommend to anybody. Prior to this, I was telling everybody in Delaware about them. By the way, I'm a Christian man who has no plans on burning in hell. read more

We paid our deposit and scheduled the day weeks in advance. I texted the captain our address where we were staying. I received an email. The day before I called to get details and realized it was a 2 1/2 hour drive to the dock. When I made the reservation I gave them the address to where we were staying and they said the dock was close to where we were staying. When the Captain realized he was going to have to go to Edgartown to pick us up he said the weather was going to be bad and he didn't have another boat to reschedule for another day. The weather ended up being beautiful, complete BS. This was the 1 activity we really wanted to do. This company took that from us. Really unprofessional and a waste of my time. In a way it's probably best because there are a lot of complaints about this company and it was going to cost over $1800 for the 6 of us. I also read under the fine print that they could take you out and you may not see anything. $1800 for a boat ride without seeing sharks from a cage is a waste of money. read more

We went on a shark watching tour out of Fairhaven. If you are prone to motion sickness at all I would not recommend this. The boat did not have proper sitting...we were all sitting on coolers. Captain Josh was driving so fast that your bottom actually left the cooler and got slammed back down, my mother fell off at one point, meanwhile the captain continued to drive on. The boat was dirty and needed repairs. Everyone on the boat (6 people) were sea sick except for one and 3 people vomited. The boat was not equipped for those kind of waves. Not enjoyable at all!! I missed the whole thing because if I opened my eyes I would vomit. We all did take motion sickness meds before getting on boat. Totally not worth the 550.00 we spent for 2 people. So disappointed.... read more

Booked the 11 hour Jumbo fluke and sea bass trip a month in advance, gave a deposit. July is the time of year for big fluke in MA. Drove up from VA, 12 hours. I talked to someone that week to make sure we were going fluking rain/shine, someone called me the day before to make sure I was going, all good. I get there, I see some people with non-fluking setups, they tell me they are going for scup. I asked Eric, this is a fluking trip, correct, he assures me that it is. After we leave, I learn that they changed their focus to a scup and sea bass trip, I was livid, I was lied to, was extremely pissed. They kept telling me they would fluke on the way home. What a waste of time. We spent most of the time just motoring around, sometimes back and forth over the same place. IMO, there is nothing worse than being lied to, especially when I am there, and I have not other choice but to pay to be on boat, this is a bait and switch. I finally convinced them to fluke. Sucked, we would stop at places with weeds on top, bad choice. They would keep engine running in shallow water, bad choice. IMO, they had little knowledge on where to fluke or how to fluke. They had squid, but did not cut up into strips, just in experienced. I should have known from the lack of posts on their facebook pages with fluke photos, red flag. They should have called me if they were going to switch the trip. read more

I wish I'd read the reviews before we spent hundreds of dollars on the shark adventures trip. The boat was small and, as other's stated, there was little seating. One bench held 2 people, and others sat on the deck. We took motion sickness pills before leaving for the trip. All 4 of us were seasick, and 2 of the 4 of us vomited. We saw zero sharks. All of that could have been taken as "that's the way it goes". What cannot be excused is that today, 3 days after our trip, we learned that after we left the boat a woman from a party of 2 and Captain Vinnie talked "trash" about members of our group. None of those other people know the 4 of us. We find it very unprofessional of representatives of Bounty Hunter Shark Adventures to conduct themselves in such an inappropriate manner. If there were concerns Captain Vinnie could have spoken with any of us, but that did not happen. He was very nice and courteous to our faces, but chose to speak about us with other customers on the boat after we left. read more
