Fiercely feeling the pizza cravings laying on my couch one night, I decided to browse SkipTheDishes in search of a good classic pizza pie. I wasn't looking for thin-crust or Neapolitan style - those are always best eaten right out of that scorching oven they're made in - and I'm not much of a deep dish guy, so I just wanted a few slices of classic 'za while I glare at the tube. Before I knew it, my driver had arrived and brought with him a gift from Bow Tie - a beautiful and massive 14" meat pizza, half of which I later freezer bagged for the following week. The Meat Lovers came stacked with pepperoni, salami, ham and bacon, all on a thin layer of tomato sauce, and topped with a generous serving of melted mozzarella. To round out the deli meats, I added a few extra toppings - onions, mushrooms and green peppers; some of my favourites. The meats all tasted fresh as can be and it was evident that the veggies weren't soggy and old, but freshly cut, perhaps only hours before. As someone who doesn't enjoy eating plain crust, I made a mental note that the outsides of this pie were just as tasty as the insides. The crust had a softer crunch, something that only a quality dough will offer. The word "stacked" I mentioned earlier was no exaggeration - this pizza was massive and could have been mistaken for a deep dish at first glance. If you want real-deal - Seniore's and Vern's are the only joints in town that I believe have this place beat - do yourself a solid and get some delivery from Bow Tie Pizza. Just thinking about biting into one of those flavourful, meaty, warm slices of goodness is making me salivate all over again. It can be next to impossible fighting pizza cravings, amirite? read more

My son spent his gaming money to surprise us with pizza. He heard us talking about how good it was. We had it at a party and it was stacked with meat. It cost him $82 for two medium pizzas. One was pepperoni with the same amount of pepperoni you get at Costco. And the other was the mother of dragons which was delicious but at the same time it wasn't a stacked with meat as at the party. And no medium pizza is worth $40, unless it was truly stocked and it wasn't. We would've been much better to go to Boston Pizza or anywhere for that matter! Blaze pizza is amazing and it wouldn't have cost near that much money. I just feel like crying for my son who was just trying to do something nice for us. If you do order never ever ever order from Uber eats! Order from Paul's. That was stacked meat. I honestly could cry for my son. For him to waste that much money that he worked hard for. Edit the manager called me and is giving a large pizza to try again. Please do not ever order the pizza from Uber Eats because it's grossly overpriced. Also don't order the pepperoni because it's not the stacked meat the way that the other pizzas are. solid pie - crust was good and they certainly don't skimp on the toppings. That said, their meat lovers was a little odd if that the salami just owned that pizza. Not my thing on pizza and I just didn't catch it as a topping but it may be a local thing? Not sure. Not bad...just not my thing. It's a solid pie though and I'd definitely get another the next time we were in town...minus the salami. ;) read more

I was underwhelmed. I had to make this review because of how offended I was when I went to order a pizza yesterday. I have no problem paying for my pizza ahead of time, nor a problem tipping...but to be prompted for a tip amount before I've even seen the product / communicated with the business is absolutely ridiculous. Also we're advised that there is no other way to tip after the fact. The options start at 15% and go on higher. I tip for GOOD service, or SOME service, not just unseen, picking up a pizza. That is outrageous for a hopeful new customer . Further, I literally live 4 minutes away as per Google Maps and was advised we're not eligible for delivery to my area? Disclaimer - I received my food for free, as I was offered to try their product because I have a food blog. But this review is 100% honest. The vegan pizza is killer and I'm not a vegan or even a vegetarian. A fellow food blogger told me the vegan pizza was to die for so I had to try it. The pizza isn't a looker as the cheese is dairy-free. But the flavours of everything worked so well. I think its the vegan pesto that puts this pizza over the top. Vegetables are fresh and flavourful. The olives were good too and I usually hate olives in a pizza, but these were the real kalamata olives and not the canned type that some places use. A large pizza will feed three adults. I reheated the leftovers in the oven and it was even better than the night before! read more

It's so nice to find a great locally-owned pizza joint. We had heard that Bow Tie was good, and my family and I do agree. For me, the meat-lovers is the best pizza I've had in many years. Thinner crust with a truly generous amount of toppings, really makes it a standout offering compared to the franchises. My wife is from Halifax, so the donair pizza had a high bar to satisfy her taste. It is now her favourite donair pizza in the entire city. Bow Tie Pizza really delivers a tasty, high quality pizza, and their box top offer a nice explanation as to why. read more

The pizza is about a notch above 5/10 and is "good enough". The only concern was that, while I appreciate that they use good ingredients - the pricing is out of the stratosphere. Money is not an issue for me - I just like to feel that I'm getting what I pay for. I bought 1 Caesar salad, 1 small custom pizza and 1 medium custom pizza....and my bill (with a 10% tip on pickup) was about $78! My wife and I could have had a great meal at Earls with appetizers and table service for about the same price. If the pizza was a 10/10.....I would not hesitate to pay that price, but I don't think that I could go back there because of the price. I think that in order to survive long term, this restaurant has two choices: drop the prices by about 20% or increase the quality of the pizza. The latter is going to be unlikely because they just have kids doing everything. So the only real answer is to modify the pricing. I wish them luck! read more

I ordered the 12" All dressed and was very pleased. When I opened the box and seen the mushrooms soaked in the melted mozzarella cheese I smiled from eat to ear. Then as we tore into the pie the cheese stretched to the plates! We devoured 2 slices each and that was all we could eat as the toppings were plentiful! Best gluten free pizza in town, by a long shot!! The crust comes in it's own metal pan so you know that cross contamination is to a minimal and the pizza/crust is to die for!! The most amazing item they have is the garlic bread which they don't advertise as gluten free (hint hint, wink wink) but is still available is a complete knock out that comes with a delicious marinara on the side. My boyfriend and I went to bow tie pizza on Friday and it was an awesome place, every thing was clean and modern. We ordered the suit and tie pizza and it was delicious! Everything was made fresh and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The wait was short even though it was a busy Friday night. I would definitely eat here again! This place was awesome! We needed a late lunch and found this place.... pizza was made very quickly and wildly exceeded the expectations of my wife, and my kids. Ordered a pepperoni for the kids and an all dressed up for the adults. We ate at a friends place and honestly converted our friends. Pretty solid take out pizza joint. Medium to thick crust style. Slightly sweet tomato based sauce. The young guys who run the place are friendly and helpful. Our six year old loves it. A welcome addition to the neighbourhood. read more
