Got a new ball for Xmas EXCITED! went to bowlwinkles and threw a few. On one shot my ball was going to gutter midway down the lane but before it even got to the gutter it hit some object (later identified by staff it was part of gutter guards for kids protruding) sending my ball in the air about two to three feet high and 20 feet forward hitting the seven pin. Upon inspection of my ball left many gauges that's when I grabbed staff to come look at it they said they'll make it right. The next day Eric I assumed is the manager called me said that they can't do anything but polished it, it's a brand new ball!!! And those he called scratches (I can dig my nails into so I'll call it gauges) these things will happen with time he said. I've bowled for 20+ years none of my 4 bowling balls have that! He proceed to say he bowl leagues for many years it happens but how may time have you witness your ball hitting an unknown object flying 20 some feet into the pins how often does that happen! Sadly Bowlwinkles doesn't know customer service and deflects not taking accountability at all. Don't go there if your new property gets damaged they tell you it's normal!!! read more

Had some issues with our lane but they were nice enough to fix promptly. We had a great time We were here on a Thursday night so got 2 games and shoes for $5, exceptional bargain. The barman was friendly and the drinks were cheap. They have Spotted Cow which is important to have in Wisconsin bars. The prices are okay, and the bathrooms are cleaned. The bowling area is its highlight. Not so many glitches with the lanes like in the past. However, the bar is another story. It's strange and inconvenient that the bar doesn't have a restroom for women. I wish the bar was a little darker too. It's very bright. And the customer service is just meh. The bartenders aren't super friendly and always seem like they don't want to be there. I've been there on many occasions with friends, in small and big groups. Even when it's dead, the bartenders don't really check to see if we need more drinks. Actually once and I ordered a pitcher of beer, the bartender immediately informed me that they closed at midnight. I looked at the clock, and it was 10:30 p.m. I've ordered Topper's a few times there but never ate in the store. It's small and messy. I just recall seeing napkins and straw wrappers everywhere. read more

Great place to enjoy friends and family and some pool, darts, and of course bowling.

I like bowling here, since the other place in town can get a little crazy sometimes with the restaurant, volleyball, etc. Bowl-Winkles is a little smaller, but has nice, modern equipment. My only complaints are the cleanliness at times, and that in the slower summer months, sometimes I've shown up to a seemingly employee-less alley and bar area, and had to wait 5-10min for an employee to help me get onto a lane to bowl a few games. When you get to a lane, sometimes there can be some crushed up candy on the floor or trash that wasn't thrown away. My suggestion would be that he staff check and sweep/clean the "approach" and seating areas regularly, especially after kids/families have bowled, since they don't always respect the areas they occupy, and you don't want to step in anything unexpected if you own your own nice bowling shoes. read more

I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of this bowling alley. I have been coming here for quite some time and our latest experience was far from exceptional (night of 4/9/22). As we walked in there was garbage everywhere...the trash cans were overflowing with bags sitting next to them, the floors were riddled in trash and the bathroom had standing water as you entered. We couldn't lay our things anywhere and each of the sitting areas next to the bowling alleys were full of empty glasses, beer bottles and liquid. Given I wasn't going to bowl with the mess, I went to the counter (where 4 people were just standing there doing nothing) and asked for a towel and cleaner so I could clean off the areas in which I wanted to be. The young male gave ME the cleaning supplies vs taking it upon himself to go and perform his job. I was appalled as a patron to have to clean an area in which I paid for. I could have just left and demanded my money back, but our kids were excited to bowl so I just did it. Please train your staff appropriately and do better in the future to ensure your long-time patrons return vs going to your competitor in town. read more

I'm never been one to ever write a bad review or complain but I have never seen a bar so dead with workers so lazy and incompetent. A simply task of water and a drink just seemed like too much work. As a manager myself I would never want to walk in and see workers standing around just munching. I wouldn't ever want to see bad reviews regarding this matter either. I was in town last night visiting from Cloquet mn. I went it we shot some pool and waited for our lane to open up. When it did we started bowling. We were having a great night. We started our 3rd game of bowling and I proceeded to go get another drink for me and my girlfriend. I had been going up to the bar all night. The first bartender was awesome. I believe that if you are a bartender that you should at the very least try to address your customer within one min of them stepping up to the bar. Especially when it isn't busy. Well I went up to the bar and waited 5 mins for the bartender to notice me. She didn't. She was too busy dancing and entertaining the other people behind the bar, she wasn't pouring them drinks she was just flirting with them. I find it very annoying that I wasn't even addressed and that in a bar that 7 bar stools are filled that she couldn't even make her way over to me. So I left the bar and continued to bowl. I came back a second time. It only took about 2 mins this time. And I finally got served. Terrible customer service is what it is if you want a drink. The guy that deals with setting you up with shoes was very professional and my sister addressed him with this. He said the manager wouldn't be present until Wednesday.
