Atmosphere was cool and retro. Server was nice and attentive. The food was not great. Got the smash burger and it was alright. Not super flavorful but decent. The nachos were awful. 1/2 was inedible due to too much seasoning. Not like being picky too much seasoning. It was cap fell off the seasoning salt too much. I'm including pictures. Came here for lunch and some games They have a great selection of card and board games. We played Sagrada which my partner owns but never played. Was a lot of fun. To drink I started with a Shirley Temple and then finished with a Butterbeer cocktail with Diet Coke (since I hate root beer). It was so yummy! To eat, I had the Nashville chicken hot sandwhich with truffle fries AND coleslaw. The fries were absolutely amazing and crispy. The sandwhich was hot in temperature, may have burned my tongue but I was super hungry, and it was mildly spicy. I feel like it lacked a bit of flavor or needed a sauce, but not sure quite what. A group of my teenage friends went to Reboot and enjoyed a very nice meal with a very nice server. When we finished our meal, my group was discussing how much we were tipping. We split our checks, and our meals were around $13-$17. Three out of six of us tipped over $20, one paid for her $8 meal with a $10 bill and told the server to keep the change, one tipped less than $20, and one didn't get anything. In context, our discussion was about trying to one-up each other with our tips, and a random server, with no context, said something along the lines of, "If you guys are going to be tipping low, I suggest you don't speak so loud." We explained that we were not tipping low, but she then reported us to the manager on duty. We thanked our server for helping us, and before heading downstairs, we were discussing our tips while passing the manager. The manager stopped us and said that we didn't have to be rude and that we shouldn't be rude to her servers or we would be kicked out. I explained to her that we were not being rude, that we tipped her server well, and that we appreciated Reboot since the majority of us have been there often. I then explained that we were not trying to be rude to her or her servers, and I apologized if she felt that way. I explained that we would be downstairs hanging out and having fun if that was alright with her. She disregarded everything I said and repeated that if we kept being rude, we would be kicked out. We headed downstairs, and the darts were broken, which wasted many of our tokens, but we did not want to bother the staff more than we clearly already had, so we spent the rest of the night playing pool. I have never had a bad experience at Reboot until now and feel like, as customers, our feelings were not heard. We did tip well and feel as though we were being stereotyped for being teenagers. We believe it wasn't right for the other server to be rude to us or report us to her manager, especially out of context. What a fun place! We came on a Thursday afternoon for lunch and it wasn't busy at all. They had a really nice lunch menu that was marked down from their evening menu. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sliders. They were pretty good. I also had the truffle fries which were good also. My daughter had the cheese pizza and fries which we took most of with us. They had a large selection of games so we played one at our table while we waited. We explored a bit when we were done and loved all the game options! read more

Review Visit: November 13th, 2024 Time to reboot your social life, one token at a time. A lot of cities lack that really cool place for teens, adults and old people like me to hang out. Luckily Eau Claire has plenty of those (from what I can tell) and Reboot Social is a great social place to help people mingle and meet new friends. As we wound down from traveling all day, Reboot Social was on my radar as a place to spend the evening. Tim and I walked in and it was like being in a Chuck E Cheese but for adults. There is a bar and seating area for eating when you first walk in. Right after they, you get to the desk to get some sweet merch and other odds and ends. I debated getting this cool looking long sleeve but forgot about it by the time we left. After that though, it's all gaming and nerding out. Upstairs was pretty busy and packed so we headed to the basement where it was equally busy but more open to easily navigate. I noticed a coin push game and a milkcap ticket dispenser. I immediately put a few bucks into each as those are my favorite games to play. After we had our thrills on quasi-gambling, we explored the area. Tim really wanted to play darts but there was a group taking up both boards. We wandered around, looking at a few other games to play and then settled on Area: Site 4 shooting game. Tim had some left over tokens from prior visits so we just used those for this game. Yep, this place isn't like a Dave & Buster's where you load up a card and use that on the machines. This one is all tokens. I am guessing this is easier to set up due to Reboot Social only having one location and having to set up a card system would probably be cost prohibtive. I didn't take a photo of the cost of tokens but I remember thinking the amount you got for $20 was very generous. Possibly 72 tokens for $20 and something like 33 for $10? Anyways, after playing Area: Site 4, I told Tim I wanted to go grab a beer before playing more games. We headed upstairs and grabbed a seat at the bar. We chatted with the bartender for a bit and I tried The Spotted Cow, which is a fan favorite by my friend Clark down in Central Illinois. It was good but nothing I'd rave about. After I polished that beer off, I tried this 3 Sheeps Fresh Coast beer and... I blew the tap when the bartender was pouring my drink. He ended up giving me the half beer for free since they had to swap it out with something new. Tim snagged a margarita and liked it so much that he got a second one. While we were talking, we decided to head out and grab some food at Madden. While we didn't spend a whole lot of time at Reboot Social, it was a really neat place. It really does feel like a good place to come with your friends to get some gaming on or to maybe meet new people as it seemed like a really popular place. Just a side note, there is a huge amount of board games to play here, too. They seem free to play while sitting down at the dining tables. Also, there is a small bowling alley here if you want to get some gutter balls. Game on! read more

Co-worker and I popped over to Reboot Social on the advice of some locals. It was pretty busy on a Friday night and because it was busy, it was a little on the loud side. But the vibe was fun and everyone was clearly enjoying themselves. Don't sleep on ordering the cheese curds. We stopped in the other day, we didn't stop for food but I definitely want to eat here next time we're in the area, the menu was filled with tasty options I'd love to try! There's some board games upstairs and a couple arcade games too, but most of the arcade games are downstairs. We bought some tokens, and got to playing. I love that the games were still a token or two per play, I had a blast playing a couple rounds of pinball and skee ball. Our whole group has a fantastic time playing old school classic games and we got to introduce our kids to some of our favorites from childhood and they enjoyed it too! Both floors were clean and well lit, all the games were up and running too. This place was an awesome find and I'm so glad we had the chance to pop in. This place SCREAMS FUN! Great place to grab a bite and play arcade games. They offer veggie patties for those that are looking for vegan options. Their kids menu is decent and have mock tails. Possibly the best boneless wings ever! All white meat but soft and tender. Kid-friendly in the daytime with lots of high chairs and boosters. Extensive kids menu too that includes fresh fruit. Bowling and the video games were inexpensive and include about eight machines that were expertly and lovingly restored from the early 1980s like Robotron and Joust. Beautiful interior and great service. The only small disappointment was the Police Trainer guns were not calibrated. This is a common problem unfortunately with the best arcade game ever. I have been to several other arcade bars around the USA and this was my favorite of them. read more

The place has a nice vibe. It's a unique venue for EC. The second floor has a private party room with a large screen TV and 3 retro standup video games (free to play with room rental). There is an elevator, but the rest of the second floor is still being renovated, including a yoga room and bathrooms. The main floor has some diner style restaurant seating, a bright bar, duckpin bowling, and some arcade games. The basement is a little darker and a more chill vibe. Billiards room, pinball, skeeball, darts, and 4 rows of retro arcade games. I the a beer, the chicken wings, and some pizza. All delicious. Attentive staff. read more

This was a very interesting place. We came here as part of the Cheese Curd Crawl, so all we bought were curds (which were delicious, some of the best on the whole crawl), but we walked the full place afterward to take it in. We entered near the bar, which has numerous tables plus couches for socializing. The latter is where we ate. Nearby were many board games that can be played by visitors. After eating, we found the nearby bowling alley, which is a pretty intimate place for a few groups to hang out. Downstairs was an arcade with a great selection of games I knew well from my youth, plus pinball machines and even an N64 that can be rented. read more

Came here for a team event after being in town for a soccer event. The space was wonderful for kids of all ages, everyone found something they wanted on the menu and the staff was gracious to help move with us from bowling to the arcade section later in the evening. Hung out with a few friends here last night, and from other places we have been to, the service was extremely exceptional! The food was pretty good, I would say it is a solid 4.5! Emma was our server and she was very accomodating and was very pleasant! My Fiancée thought she was very sweet! Definitely would reccomend to visit, I am not one to comment on anything normally, but the service was very, VERY, exceptional, friendly, and just overall a pleasant experience. Great drinks, good food and even better games and activities. You can easily spend hours at this hip place; either with your plus 1, family or a group of friends. You can saddle up to the bar, grab a cozy booth or sit at a table. We didn't order food (just drinks) but the pile of fries and nachos looked like popular dishes. There's a stocked board game shelf in the main room, retro arcade games in the back and a Wisconsin classic but not easy to find: duckpin bowling! Plus the location is unbeatable - it's right downtown on Eau Claire's Main Street. Definitely worth checking out when downtown! P.S. they have merch! read more

The atmosphere here is awesome. Family friendly without killing the vibe. The arcade space is awesome lots of machines to choose from and play. The dining space was fun clean and had an awesome feel. And let me just say the cheese curds were recommended by the waitress and they were the Bomb.com. This needs to be on everyone's rotation of places to visit often. read more

Been there twice now. Got the onion mushroom hamburger which was delicious, and pricey at over 15$. Went at 10 which was nice and quite. Also went at 6pm on a Thursday and got the 50 cent wing special. The garlic parmesan was amazing and the Nashville hot rub was good. A good selection of tap beer. An interesting atmosphere with a blend of a bar but kids sitting up at it with their parents. Kids are everywhere given the arcade games. Will still be going back for those delicious wings, despite feeling like I am back at chuckie cheeses. read more

What a great concept - 2 full bars, restaurant, fun atmosphere with board games, full arcade downstairs and 4-lane bowling alley! They had many great old video games, like Ms. PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Frogger, Skeet-ball, etc. Only downside with this place is the food and drinks need improvement. The chicken wings are just ok, the truffle fries were soggy, so we asked for a new order with the fries fully cooked, but unfortunately the second batch came out the same. The cheesesteak sandwich was soggy and lacked flavor. Our server was great though, very attentive! Hopefully they will make some improvements to the food and our next visit will be a 5 star experience. read more

I will NEVER go back to Reboot Social. I took my best friend out to dinner for her birthday and made her get a drink. The waitress responded with "well if she's going to drink you have to" which is fine, whatever. I explained to her that I don't drink and my friend told her I was sober. MULTIPLE TIMES after saying that the waitress kept pressuring me to have an alcoholic drink. I told her SEVERAL times that I don't drink and my friend said "she's sober" 3 or 4 times while she was STILL trying to get me to order a drink. Then she realized I was mad and tried playing it off like she was joking. Literally said "I'm just kidding" I told her it wasn't funny. 8 YEARS I have been clean and I have NEVER in my life dealt with someone pressuring me to drink like that, let alone in that kind of situation. First, food is bad and the bar area in the arcade is tiny. They have a slightly better selection upstairs but they don't intermingle supplies. Second, the staff is horrible. We were from out of town hosting a bachelor party and brought around 25 people to reboot. Unfortunately, we were not familiar with the 21+ after 9pm policy, I mean come on, it's Wisconsin. Anyway, rather than approaching me and asking me to leave, the assistant manager Tammy immediately threatened to beat me up several times and then call the police. This is not how you treat customers. She made my daughter cry. Had I just been asked to leave politely, it would have been fine. I've seriously never been treated so poorly in my whole life and I've definitely never been threatened like this before. I asked for the name of Tammy's supervisor and of course she wouldn't tell me, she just said I had to deal with her and that it was her place before she threatened me again. These people are psycho and need to be put in jail for assault. Don't go here, you never know when she might actually try something and someone could get hurt. read more
