Came on a Sunday night and it was busier than I expected! We were a group of 7 and were able to get lanes next to each other. The lanes were all very clean and plenty of bowling balls were available to choose from. They had music playing with only some of the screens working. We ended up bowling for I total of around two hours and had a great time!

Fun spot to bowl. While in the Chapel Hill/Durham area, my family and I came to this Bowlero, which was a couple of doors down the hotel where we were staying. The atmosphere was very nice. Great customer service and the staff were very helpful. The vibe is open, with lots of cool lighting. It's huge and offers bowling, a few arcade games, food and beverages. Looks as though they have actually done some upgrades to the place like such as bowling areas with TVs, cool lighting and updated arcade games. This is a plus as to comparing this location on the outside. The building on the outside is a bit dated. In fact, we actually thought it was closed, judging from the appearance off the highway until we saw cars parked in the back of the building. Nevertheless, we had a ball. The whole family enjoyed a couple of games, good food, and drinks. Just like Bowlero locations around the DMV (Washington, DC area), it can get a little pricey bowling here especially on weekends but they offer a lot of promotional offers and Groupons that are much better during non-peak hours. Overall, fun spot, good for kids, groups and bday parties too.

Fun and hip spot in Durham for a friend or work bowling outing. What really stood out to me was how friendly the staff was, especially the young lady at the front desk. She was super accommodating. We had a group of 6 and made reservations last month but had to reschedule due to illness. The process to do so was extremely easy (handled through corporate). Our lane was ready upon arrival. I loved the vibe here and that you could order via QR code and have food delivered to your lane. Service was quick aside from ordering a beer, and it taking quite a while. I went to retrieve it from the bar and was told that the alcoholic beverage orders don't go through due to state law. There's a nice variety of bar-like food and beer/cocktails. I'm giving 4 stars vs 5 because I felt it could be a bit cleaner here, the sanitary rating was a little low for my liking, and the food was just okay. Also (not factored into my rating) but if you are coming from Chapel Hill and turning left into the parking lot, be prepared to wait a while for traffic. Otherwise it's in a great location! I'd go back here!

This place recently went through a change in appearance. They traded the booths for tables that are right in the middle of two lanes. This means that if you are coming here for date night or with a small group, you will be sharing a table with strangers in the other lane. Both of your parties sharing a table. The booths were further apart which gave you more distance with the other people but this just forces you to be close together. Also came here in the evening and the lights on half of the place are on??? Ugh, such a disappointment honestly. Everyone is so close together and it kills the vibe smh

There seems to be two interior dining ares (one with an upstairs balcony) plus a patio and then an open grassy area. It looks like they host many wedding receptions and other special events. I won't comment on the food or service since ours was cooked by a guest chef and served by volunteers, but I can say from what I saw, the owners/staff would do a great job with any event.

The cookery looks great from the outside: color mural on its side-wall, fancy metal, grillwork up front along with a cool sign are the only hints of what lies inside. For this charity dinner they had a bunch of long tables set up family-style for a communal dinner. In back the bar was busy and buzzing with action. And the overall space is not huge but comfortable and lit really well. Accent lights on the rough brick walls created a lot of visual texture for the eye. The space is open but still very personal. A landing area at top was unused and a storage area up front near the ceiling housed what looks like brewing equipment for Ponysaurus (?) Overall the Cookery seems like a great space for a corporate or personal event if you don't have a huge headcount. While there isn't much else right around here, the Cookery is worth the drive out if you've got an excuse for a visit...

The reception area is indoors and a fine place for a party of any type. They serve drinks with Lavender from their farm. They will give you packets of Lavender--it's a real Lavender Farm I will forever have great memories of attending a wedding here. Such a unique place. Some important details you may want to know: 1. Give yourself a minimum of 30 minutes from Chapel Hill to get here--45 minutes during the business week. Slow speed roads, lots of turns, dirt the last section, drive slow. 2. The last 1/2 mile is all dirt gravel--some thick. I had an SUV 4-wheel drive truck rental coincidentally--no problem at all. If I had my personal sports car--PAIN! I may not have gone down the road... If you are flying in for an event here--do yourself a favor and rent a PU Truck or SUV, not a passenger car. If you live here--borrow someones truck--you will thank me. 3. The entire parking lot is gravel--drop everyone off on the reception pavement and one person parks and does the long walk on gravel to the reception--wear appropriate shoes to walk on gravel. I cleaned my shoes for 30 minutes the next day. They have golf carts--if you are concerned about your shoes--ask for golf cart pickup from the parking lot. 4. Men's and women's bathrooms are tiny for a party more than 100 people--get in there when everyone else is not. 5. The outdoor wedding ceremony in June brought tears to my eyes...and sweat to my body--dress appropriately. 6. Spend as much time as you can on the patio outside--it's so pleasant there overlooking the Lavender fields I could sit there every night with a drink. I don't have a review of the food because the food is different for everyone based on budget and who you hire for food provision. I posted some photos of the place, but on the request of the family will not post photos of any attendees, or the wedding couple due to their national celebrity status. I had the opportunity to chat a bit with the owner of Lavender Oaks Farms who is one of the most successful and dynamic entrepreneurs you will meet. Interestingly, she was originally from the Los Angeles area of California but very happy to make a home in North Carolina more than 30 years ago.
