A pretty extensive mini golf course
    Paul M.

This place is a surprising lot of fun! And an excellent afternoon outing with your adult brother while the elderly parents need an afternoon nap! Everything is pay-per-use, so there's no cover-charge. There's a small but exciting roller-coaster, lots of indoor games, and some thrilling go-karts. Plus to wind down, quite a lot of mini-golf -- 3 sets of 18 holes! It was getting chilly at dusk so we packed it in. But I'm told they have the lights on until midnight -- might be fun in summertime.

Fun place to go! We did mini golf, arcade, drift track and batting cage. It is a bit expensive especially for the arcade machine. At times some of the attraction were closed so be aware that all of them may not be open if you go during a slow time. Would go again!

Highly overrated entertainment center. I am warning parents not to waste their time or hard earned money here. You won't get much for the value here. I read all the reviews and many spoke about how fun Frankie's is. When we arrived I was highly underwhelmed. This place doesn't hold a candle to Dave & Busters. It has half of the Dave & Busters Arcade games and boasts attractions/ rides such as Mini Gulf, Go Karts and Laser Tag. Unfortunately the go karts were closed and only open during weekends which is limiting. The bumper cars were disappointing because the area they are housed in is the size of a mouse hole ! Very unfair. The prizes are garbage. You would have to spend $100 each child for them to score a prize of actual quality. This place needs to take tips from Dave & Busters. Where kids can actually earn decent prizes after winning tickets. This place was a huge disappointment even to the kids. I really want my money back.

We love coming here after school with my toddler son! There are so many fun indoor games and a full mini golf, go karts, and more outdoors! We love playing basketball and especially walking the golf course!

Great place for kids and adults. They have a restaurant & bar. Great outdoor rides and go carts.

So much family fun for everyone! There is something here for everyone. Games, laser tag, rides and food. Load your card up and have a blast! Win tickets and get a prize before you leave. They have indoor fun and outdoor fun. Plenty of parking is available and the inside is spacious. At times the place gets packed so the weekdays are the perfect time to visit!

Not my cup of tea. Came as an observer for my niece and nephew. If tight crowds, screaming kids, and emptying your slush fund is your idea of fun then this is the spot for you.

Rookie Trac was definitely the boys favorite!

We did a late celebration for my Grandson's birthday bc he was in the hospital for his birthday. Frankie's really went a long way towards making up that special day. Staff and games were really amazing! Thanks Frankie's for making this day really fantastic!

The ballroom that we utilized is spacious with multiple tables and chairs and enough room for a dance floor and/or stage. Water, salad dressing, butter, and rolls were on our table and we were served salads. The servers were really friendly and helpful. The food was served to us buffet style by the staff and it was good. One of my my favorites was the bbq salmon topped with corn. I had never had salmon prepared this way but all of the flavors came together nicely. I would def consider hosting an event here or recommending someone contact this business to host their event at this venue.

I was denied entry into Deke's (the ground floor bar and restaurant) "Because I was wearing a T-shirt, which didn't meet the new dress code". I looked in disbelieve at that moment, to see two gentlemen actually wearing T-shirts, at which time I asked to speak to the manager. The lady fired back, "I AM the manager", at which time I asked to speak to a higher level manager, as two others were wearing T-shirts. She resisted to get the higher level manager, and continued to argue that that was their new dress code, at which time I asked again to speak "to the higher level manager". She resisted again, so I asked again. She then replied, "Don't yell at me", which was a fabrication, and went to get the Food and Beverage Director. She was obviously angry because I asked to speak to the higher level manager. The Food and Beverage Director came (David), he looked disheveled, in a 1950s suit, Beard also disheveled, and he had a strange odor. By his behavior, it was clear he was informed that I had "yelled" at the other lady, in her words, as his attitude was as bad as his appearance. He asked if I, "was a member", of which I said I was. I gave him both my name and my wife's name. He then looked up the wrong name, and exclaimed to everyone in the club that I was, "NOT a member". This was found to be false an hour later, when my wife called back in to check on why they claimed the membership was not correct. He didn't look up my name or my wife's name correctly, saying we must not have paid the membership bill, in front of the other members. It was a complete fail. It got even worse. At that point, I pointed out the 2nd patron who was wearing a T-shirt, the Food and Beverage Manager grabbed my right shoulder to escort me out (after telling everyone in earshot I was not a member, which he was incorrect). I couldn't believe it. I shoved him back, told him not to make physical contact with me. I was asked to depart the club, which I did, with my two hungry toddlers. The Food and Beverage Director, who must weigh 250 lbs, continued to provoke and follow me in close proximity, even after I was outside. I did an about face, and told him not to invade my space, and that he was a fat man who should not be following me so closely. He then backed away. I must admit, I should have have called him a fatso, as it had nothing to do with his incompetence or his bad hygiene. I took hit personally, while pushing a baby carriage out of the restaurant, with two hungry toddlers. Brier Creek has been known in the RDU area to be a C-grade club by many professionals, but since their last General Manager passed away unexpectedly, they've really gone down hill to a D-grade club. Try the other clubs in Raleigh and Durham, if you want to go to a place that has competent and courteous personnel. In summary, they don't enforce their dress code equally, and turned me away, saying I was not a member, with two hungry babies, because of a T-shirt, while two other patrons were wearing T-shirts. Some history: I had contacted the Club Manager, Stefan Russell, in a private meeting a few months prior to this incident, to politely let him know the service in Deke's was horrible after waiting 15 minutes for a server. I explained to him that I had worked 15 years as a server in restaurants. He was polite and courteous, and we discussed his being from Europe. It crossed my mind, this might have been why the floor manager, a short woman, may have initially denied me entry, even though two other men were sitting near the front desk, also wearing T-shirts. She had no explanation of why they were wearing T-shirts, however I was being denied entry. The Club Manager, Doug Anderson, obviously doesn't know how to select or train managers at Brier Creek Country Club. For this reason, I predict there will be a continued subpar experience for the members of Brier Creek Country Club.

My best friend and I had Friday, July 3rd off so we decided to get here when they opened at noon. There is what seems at first a long road from the highway to the winery. Since I was one of the first people there, I was a bit confused about where to park but figured it out relatively easily. Walking up to main building, I loved the view. I loved all the outdoor seating and the rooftop bars. I really liked all of the covered spaces. But since it was SO HOT, we decided to sit inside. We started with a pear cider that was delicious. ($7.50 pint). We went up to the roof to look around but decided it was more comfortable inside. I then got a Procecco Rose ($9) and my friend got a Moscato Rose. The bartender poured us samples of both and it would have been nice if we'd both liked the same ones and we could have shared a bottle, but no dice. We walked around the other buildings and would have LOVED to spent more time outside. But two drinks was all we needed especially since we didn't partake in the food trucks parked out front. We were there for about 1.5 hours and it really started to get crowded, so we decided that was our cue to leave. I got a Diet Coke (can $2) before I cashed out. All of the bartenders were super nice and helpful. Most seemed to know what they were serving and were knowledgeable about recommendations. Even the restrooms were beautiful. And very clean! I wore jean shorts and top, while my friend wore a sundress. I saw all sorts of different outfits so I don't think there is a particular dress code here. Overall this was SO MUCH fun. Will definitely do again when the weather turns cooler and will have a DD :)

The Hotel That Declared War on Sleep…read more If Yelp allowed zero stars, this place would still be overrated. To be fair, the hotel was clean. The staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely apologetic. Unfortunately, none of those things can lower the room temperature. Here's the little surprise they don't bother mentioning before taking your money: the air conditioner is controlled by a motion sensor. Read that again. A. Motion. Sensor. In a hotel room. Designed for people whose primary objective is to lie perfectly still for eight hours. After a blisteringly hot and humid day, I lowered the thermostat to a perfectly reasonable temperature. The room cooled for a few glorious minutes before the A/C shut itself completely off. Not "cycled." Not "eco mode." Completely dead. No compressor. No fan. Nothing. A short time later I was throwing sheets across the room, wondering why my hotel had quietly converted into a convection oven. Then, just as hope returned, the A/C came back on... cooled the room for a few minutes... and shut off again. Apparently the hotel's definition of "climate control" is psychological abuse. When I called the front desk, the employee couldn't have been kinder. She explained that the hotel had recently installed motion sensors in every room to save energy while rooms are unoccupied during the day. Wonderful idea. Until someone pointed out the glaring design flaw that sleeping humans generally don't perform interpretive dance every few minutes to reassure the air conditioner they're still alive. In fact, the employee added that they are receiving many complaints from guests. She openly acknowledged it was a bad system, apologized repeatedly, and agreed it causes guests to wake up hot throughout the night. Think about that. The hotel knows the system disrupts sleep. The employees know it disrupts sleep. Management knows it disrupts sleep. Yet nowhere during booking does it say: "By the way, your air conditioner may periodically abandon you while you sleep." No refund. No offer to relocate me to a hotel with functioning overnight climate control. Just an apology and the expectation that I'd accept paying full price for an experience that completely failed at the one thing hotels exist to provide: a place to sleep. Hotels sell beds. They don't sell "Guess Who Moved?" with the thermostat. If this policy had been disclosed before booking, I would have stayed somewhere else. Instead, it was concealed until after check-in, when discovering it meant spending the night participating in what felt less like hospitality and more like an involuntary sleep deprivation experiment. If enough guests have experienced this, I genuinely believe it's worth asking whether selling rooms under these conditions--without clearly disclosing this "feature"--crosses a line. Until then, bring running shoes, because apparently the secret to keeping your air conditioner on is pacing laps around your room at 2:00 a.m. Legal issues: * Failure to disclose a material fact (easily probable from digital forms signed by guests) * Material omission (omitting information a reasonable customer would want before purchasing) * Deceptive trade practice (under many state consumer protection laws) * False or misleading advertising (if the marketing creates a misleading impression) * Unfair and deceptive business practices (common language in consumer protection statutes)
