Bowling Ball House is a unique roadside attraction that you should consider checking out if you are near or in Safety Harbor, FL. Not for the typical tourist, but for travelers looking for something different. The Bowling Ball House is open and available for you to walk around the front of the house, as there is a sign that invites visitors to look around. Created by Todd and Kiaralinda Ramquist, who are full time artists that do travel to art shows during the year. The house has a mural of stars and rainbows. The yard is decorated with tiles, bowling balls, painted plastic bottles, numerous of colored glass bottles, shells, beading, interesting sculptures and all kind of random objects. There are 2 large mardi gras clowns by the main entrance with beads. There is also an art car, Y2K WV Bug out in front that is really cool to look at. How this couple started the Bowling Ball house was when they happen to see a sign at a flew market that said '10 free bowling balls per person'. So naturally the two of them got 20 balls and then had a few of their friends help them get more which ended up to getting 60 bowling balls. They lined their home with the bowling balls and eventually had some of their other artist friends come to create bowling ball art (which are housed inside their home). Eventually the home just manifested to what you see on the grounds today. Across the street from this home, you will see a few homes also artfully decorated. These homes are also owned by Todd and Kiaralinda as well. There is free parking available on the street if you wish to stop by. The Bowling Ball House is definitely worth a visit. read more

If you are looking for off the beaten path, Whimzeyland is for you. I'm all about whimsey, bright colors, vibrant, crazy, off the wall art. How could it not make you smile? Kiaralinda & Todd Ramquist are the artists behind this whimsical presence of bright happiness. My words can not describe all the life their house portrays. Please look at the pics. They also have a guest home across the street. I wish I can stay there because the pics I see online are incomparable and extraordinary.
