My daughter started attending when she was 2 (now 6) and my son began as a toddler at 18 months (now 4.5). The curriculum is expansive, including typical montessori activities/practical life skills (like washing dishes, tying shoelaces, folding clothing, polishing, potty training) but also very advanced academically. Through their guidance my daughter is reading at a grade 4 level and doing math at a grade 3 level as she enters grade 1. My son who is predisposed musically, can sing various beautiful songs in different languages, and has learned to write letters and read phonetically (entering JK). Most importantly, they absolutely Love going to school every day - they have been happy and felt safe there. We have had a few different teachers over the years as we progressed through stages, as well as a few constant (Ms. Eva - we love you!) and they have all been knowledgable, capable and exceptionally kind. They and the staff were always accessible and flexible when needed. And anytime I have gone to the school I witness kids who are happy, having fun and thoroughly engaged in their learning. The facilities themselves are located in the downtown core in an office-type building that initially seemed unusual for a school or daycare - but inside it is truly the sweetest little setup and the classrooms are clean, organized, well appointed and clearly taken care of. The outside area is small, but well utilized, and they also have an indoor playground which is useful for the winter months and bad weather. They've done a really great job with space in the downtown core, and you can really feel the sense of love and commitment to the kids there. Additionally - they include lunches served by ReakFoodForRealKids daily as well as snacks which offers incredible, healthy and diverse food. My kids, who can at times be picky at home, literally rave about the food - and they love that there are always healthy snacks available. Through BBMS we have additionally met a wonderful community of downtown families whose kids regularly meet and play outside of school hours. Our kids have fostered lasting and meaningful connections which continue to be a light in both our kid's and our lives. Every other parent I have ever talked to who actually attended Bluebutterfly also raves about their experience - and many have enrolled siblings after their first. Blue Butterfuly have truly been a rock for us through such integral phases of our children's lives, and in addition, during the pandemic - our family will forever be grateful to the staff and teachers here.

Initially I was a little hesitant about the lack of 'real' outdoor playground feel but that has not mattered at all ..... There is a large play area that my son loves and most importantly we love the flexibility and friendly atmosphere which is important for parents juggling a job and school runs .. The horrible part is that I got robbed by someone who stole my phone. One of my friend who is in my school said that my lock on my locker was unlocked even though I always lock my lock everyday. When I decorate my locker someone keeps on like ripping my decorations. Sometimes I got bullied but sometimes I don't, well at least I have friends there too. The good part is that the teachers are nice, I have a grade 7 teacher name Mr Panousopoulos, he is the nicest and funniest teacher ever.

Instead of being a place of growth and encouragement, the school created an atmosphere of fear, exclusion, and constant judgment. A teacher, Rory consistently singled me out in ways that felt unfair and humiliating. The leadership under the principal, Janice, only made things worse -- the administration fostered an environment that was punitive rather than supportive, and students like me were left feeling isolated and diminished. The impact of this experience has stayed with me long after, which says everything about the culture of this school. I would strongly warn families to reconsider before sending their children here.

Without dishonouring other schools, I have to say that Radiant Way Montessori stands out in many areas. First of all, the teachers here are so passionate, caring and loving! Particularly, Ms. Anahita, the principal, is the kind of person who speaks from her heart, who truly cares about children. I honestly fell in "trust" with this school at the first sight because of her passion, sincerity and knowledge. Secondly, this school offers a true Montessori program. Ms. Anahita is an instructor who trains new Montessori teachers. Both of her daughters are teachers. The classroom is well equipped with authentic Montessori learning tools. During observation, I was amazed to see how engaged all children were at their chosen activities. My son has grown so much socially and academically in this school. I feel really good about sending my son to such an outstanding program! Last but not least, Radiant Way Montessori is always clean and well organized whenever I go. It also has a HUGE backyard, where kids can be kids. Ms. Anahita reinforces the "no sugar, healthy diet" policy, which I love. My son has nutritious lunch and snack daily. We went to Radiant Way Montesorri school recently for a tour. We didn't like the principal. She is…read morea brown lady and so aggressive when she talk...She talks like she knows everything and assume we are clueless parents...She also assume we spoil our kids and my mom doesn't teach our chlid anything at home...Even if I want to send my child to a Montesorri school, it will not be this place. No wonder they have spot and not full.I know a mom who send her 2 kids there now and told me before that her kids didn't learn much compared to Marander Montessi School which she heard from friends teaches the kids way more. This place is not a real Montessor school but run more like a like daycare and still charge the premium Montesorri school rate $$ = $300 more per month than a regular daycare if you include early pick up and late drop off (7:30am to 6pm). She also pushes for you to have grand parents or someone else pick up your kids by 3:30pm and not later (odd). This place also does not seem that organized either when we ask if there is a daily progress report or schedule. Even other daycares provide daily progress report to tell you how your child is doing, what activities did he/she do or learned. Therefore, some Montessori School like this one is not worth the $$$. Might as well send to a regular to daycare and save the extra costs! lol

I recently visited the Queensway daycare. I've only seen the basement area and noticed that it was…read morenot being vacuumed and the floor being cleaned. it was filthy first thing Monday morning and throughout the week. I can't imagine how the kids main area and the kitchen looks like. Very very disappointed on the cleanliness of this daycare. Hopefully with this concern that they will start to clean....daily at the least.
