If I could give 0 stars I would. If your a barber you should be able to cut hair. I have the most basic haircut and they did a terrible job. Not to mention with a 3 dollar tip it cost 35$. This was the most expensive haircuts I've gotten ever and I live in Boston. Notice the carrot top I now have in the picture below. read more

This place is fantastic! My son who attends college in Oxford was in need of a good haircut. I was coming for a visit and did some research on line and Bowtie Barber had great reviews. Douglas, who cut my son's hair was exceptional. He knew exactly how to cut his thick hair and what would look the best. He spent a lot of time making it just right. Then they give you a nice shampoo too, whereas most places just spray the hair. Then on top of a fabulous cut they also trim your beard and give you hot towels and a mini facial. My son had never had such pampering! Douglas even told my son what blades to shave with to not get in grown hairs. They really know how to help men with their grooming habits. The shop itself is lovely. Hardwood floors, nice big barber chairs, they serve homemade root beer out of a tap too. The staff is very friendly and professional, very accommodating. Staying near Oxford I did not find a lot of barber shops in the area. My friend and I found this place on Yelp. Their website is very professional and offers the option to schedule an appointment ahead of time and even schedule the type of service you need. I arrived about 15 minutes before my 5pm appointment and the receptionist found my appointment on their system and promptly passed me onto the barber Eric. Eric was very professional. He definitely exceeded my expectations and went the extra mile. He knew exactly what I wanted and finished my beard trim in a very reasonable time. I definitely recommend this place as they are very organized and efficient. Not only that, but they do an awesome job! read more

HAIR CLIPPER BURN! Fast haircut and it turned out nice but got terrible hairclipper burn. It has been almost a week and my neck is still recovering. Would not recommend or ask for less clipper use if you go. I've never had issues with clipper burn before. read more

By far the best place for a top-notch trim and clean cuts groom for all us beard lovers. Very relaxed call setting, staff is very friendly and on point, offered coffee bottled water or on Tap Root Beer. I have come here a few times to get my haircut since coming to the area for college and I have always had a good experience. The staff is very polite and friendly. Granted my hair is a little bit on the medium length, I got exactly opposite of what I asked for. I've never gotten my haircut in Oxford before in my 3 years here, but after hearing some good things I thought i'd try it out. The guy I got had no idea how to cut my type of hair and gave me a fade in the back when I asked for a simple trim, while barely cutting any off the top. Do no recommend this place whatsoever unless you have short hair. The experience there was fine and it is a nice place, but i'd rather they spend more money on hiring quality cutters. read more

I have been to this establishment numerous times and numerous times have left happy. However, Renee, the new person working there did a remarkably horrendous job. Leaving me a patchy eye-sore with a haircut nothing similar to that which I had hoped to receive, she cut my hair carelessly. For a barbershop with a high price level, I expect a good cut and usually receive one. However, due to the carelessness by which she cut, the terrible cut, the lack of professionalism she conducted herself in (the things she spoke of are things I wouldn't talk about with my closest of friends), and the mere fact that she took the dress hair catcher thing off and put the hot towel on before EVER letting me look in a mirror have encouraged me to seek a different location. I would rather have my drunk friend's cat cut my hair than return to this location. read more

So this was my third time going to bowtie. I can officially say that it is a very nice atmosphere and the people are nice. However, they are anything but consistent. On my first visit, I had an appointment at 2, and I was not seated until 3, but the cut was good. The second time I encountered no issues and it was also a good haircut. And today was my third and final time attending the Barbershop. I had arrived at 3 when my appointment was scheduled and the barber was not there. I waited for 15 minutes until the girl behind the counter came out and said that the barber wouldn't be able to cut my hair and asked if it was ok if she did it. I said ok, she did a good job cutting my hair which was nice. But, I had asked for a premium cut which included a straight razor neck shave, shampoo, and a hot towel. I got none of those, and they proceeded to charge me the full price, even when they were aware that they did not complete the majority of the service. Therefore, I will no longer use that service. read more
