It took me FOUR WEEKS persuading finicky individual getting groomed at Bowtie Barbershop! Finally, HE was placed in the Barber's chair and couldn't leave because his wheelchair was moved to the other side, i.e., NO ESCAPING~LOL!!!! The finicky individual's skeptical scowl expresses his desire escaping; however, the Head Barber moved his wheelchair~ha-ha-ha! I went into the shop this weekend to get my beard trimmed. Long story short, I looked homeless and my wife wouldn't tap this with a 10' pole. Luckily I had the pleasure of sitting in Ace's chair (he's the tattooed white guy with glasses) . Not only was he kind, funny, super professional but he trimmed my beard the best I've ever had. I came home and let's just say my wife was impressed. I haven't left the house in 3 days, I've been getting A&D ointment for my knees delivered via Amazon and need to steam clean spots out of the couch now. To say this beard trim is a 10/10 would be a understatement. 150,000/10 would get trimmed again. read more

Nothing against the actual haircut, as I have taken my son here several times. And I would love to support a local business, but it's really hard when you go on two different days and can't get in. First time, showed up at 4:30, and I get it, they close at 5:00 and didn't have time. Okay. came back today, two days later at 4:05 and were told they were closing early for a staff members birthday. They had just told the guy in front of us the same thing. We were all told they could put our name on the list for tomorrow, but that meant we really had to show up. What? I've showed up two days to try this. Unfortunately we are going to start going someplace else. I'm too busy to try three times to get a haircut when other establishments have hours they stick with. Again, nothing wrong with the actual cuts we have received, just bad circumstance in trying to get one. read more

CASH ONLY. My 7 year old normally goes to a guy in Tahoe for his cut and design. We didn't have time to do the drive and his classmate recommended for us to go here. So we tried it out on a Friday after school. I'm drawn to and more comfortable with this kind of aesthetic in a shop. I like the decor and the general look and feel of both the shop and the employees. But I was apprehensive to come here because of some of the negative reviews I read regarding attitude from the staff. Plus my husband came here once and didn't have a stellar experience and everything he complained about was written out in those reviews. I am quiet but am definitely more combative than the BD so I was mentally prepared. But we were greeted in a friendly and respectful manner. They could tell I didn't know what the deal was so they told me to write my son's name on the blackboard. We did wait for a bit. Probably close to an hour and there were four people ahead of us. Including my son, I saw four other kids there which is nice to see. Apparently this is the it place. Each employee treated the kids in a gentle manner. The owner made it a point to switch certain songs because kids were present. I'm no Karen, but its a nice touch. They seem to remember and treat repeat customers really well. As far as cut and design, my man in Tahoe is a little cheaper. He also asked to look at the design on my phone a few times and kiddo's look came out exactly like the picture. It was perfect. At Bowtie, he took a look at the picture once and then pretty much just did his own design. It still looks dope, and while it's similar, it's definitely not exactly like the picture. So if you're anal about ish like that you might want to find your voice. To me, as long as it doesn't look like a hack job, I'm fine with it. Kiddo likes his design and Bowtie has a gentler hand than Tahoe man so kiddo said his experience here was better. He has gotten many compliments on his cut. All in all I'm glad we visited. And now I have two options for kiddo's cut. We will be back. read more
