If you want a full body workout and to break out in sweat while balling over your frienemies than this is the sport for you. Eastern Indoor Sports hosts many types of sports and bubble soccer is just one of them and it costs $160 an hour for a casual booking. I would suggest to go with more people, 12 people would be ideal with groups of 4 rotating for shorter games as we were all exhausted by the half hour mark. *Tip: wear a t-shirt as the straps in the bubble go over your shoulders.

And this league ain't bad. There are three courts, two of which are proper courts in a large dedicated building. The third, however, is a wood-floored gym with a fair bit of slip on the surface - not so good. The range of game times can be a bit problematic as well, with games as early as 6 PM and as late as 10:40 PM. They've got mixed leagues and single sex leagues, though, and offer leagues on most/every night of the week. And with games costing around ten dollars per player, it's worth at least playing a short season if you think you might be interested

Last man standing is the winner. But boy, this sport got competitive! On my first game I took the tactic of stand-in-the-back-and-no-one-will-notice-you but unfortunately my entire team got knocked out and I was the remaining competitor. The other team threw four balls at me all at once, knocked my feet out from under me, and hello sprained ankle! However dodgeball is a lot more fun than I remember too. Tyler, the President of the League, umpires the match with some very upbeat dance tunes, the other players are fit and spunky (and young!) and a good time is had by all. The staff who hold the parties are really good at putting together fun times for the kids - who knew rollerskating to 'the chicken dance' could be so much fun?! My sister also had a party hosted there and it was great. They have function rooms out the back and they are super comfortable. Like the walls of the skating ring, most benches and seats in this place are covered in carpet so bottoms sore from falls on the ring have somewhere soft to sit - it's a really smart touch. There is a little cafe that sells junk food and hot dogs but it is quite overpriced so I'd think about bringing your own pre-made food. They also have a games area here, which is off to the right. Some games cost money and some don't. The music here is quite varied and they often have theme nights. I like going on the 90's nights because everyone gets really into it and that was the time when I first started going to Rollerama. It has a lot of history and a lot of character and it's a really fun place to go. Skate hire is only about $3 and entry is something like $7 for adults.

Insportz Knox is the sporting ground to go to for a variety of sports including volleyball, soccer,…read morenetball and cricket. The courts are multi-purpose so games on them alternate throughout the day. The last time I went there was to be acting cheerleader for a group of friends playing 5-a-side soccer. It cost them $70 a season to play and they absolutely loved it. Inside can get pretty loud as lots of games are played on different courts/fields at once. Personally I don't understand how each played knows which ref is blowing their whistle for a foul or penalty - every whistle was super loud! I was rather a jittery cheerleader as a result. The courts are available for hire at $60 an hour, minimum. This seems pretty pricey to me but then again I'm not out hiring courts every weekend so I really have no idea. There is also a bar available for hire that is sometimes open. Wait staff are available for hire if catering for birthday parties or functions. Insportz doesn't cater for 21st birthday celebrations or high school after parties though. I don't know what high schooler would want to host a party on a soccer field but each to their own.. All in all the place is pretty good. It's popular, it's loud and there is plenty of great athletes to watch.

We were able to hire the court for $20 an hour and off we went. Now im not going to say i lost terribly (ok, so i lost 6,0 6,0; But i've never played before) but the game was over pretty quickly. There's four courts, two side by side so at times if you are playing and you hit the ball in the wrong direction, it can end up in the other players court... a tad awkward! Genuinely fun and a great way to keep fit!

It's also got a roundabout (one of those things that goes round and round and round and round and round...), which I can safely say is NOT fun to go on late at night when you're a little bit tipsy and get motion sickness anyway. For everyone else, it's fantastic. Other features of the playground include swings, a rockclimbing wall (big enough for big kids to have to try a bit to climb), and a really well constructed slide set. Very cool.
