My boyfriend and I came down from Nevada and stopped at the warehouse, it was EVERYTHING a Mainer could have wanted or needed. I haven't been home for 6 years! And walking inside was just as I expected. The owner was super friendly and helpful! We purchased a couple things to take home for ourselves and friends! Prices were decent. Before shipping, a gentleman named Joseph reached out to me to discuss what I should expect with customs, shipping times, etc so that I understood the process. He was friendly, informative and had a stellar customer service personality!! My f/u report... Box Of Maine.. a follow up to my previous comment... The box arrived on Monday, Australian time. In perfect condition. I wish I could send you part of the video I received. She cried at getting a taste of a place she visited for just 1 yr. She was a foreign exchange student in my graduating class of ...wait for it...1983! LOL I haven't seen her in 42+ yrs but stayed in touch. You helped me put a smile on her face and brought back good memories. The coffee and whoopie pie were being prepped for a snack shortly after receiving the box. Do NOT purchase a Box of Maine to ship overseas. It will arrive weeks late or not at all. I live in Ireland; my mom in Maine. She ordered a box to be delivered to me 2 Christmases ago. It arrived about 3 weeks late, but at least it got here. This year, my mom placed an order on 12/1 and it STILL hasn't arrived. The company has taken NO responsibility and offered no remedy. They've said we need to "go talk to customs." We don't have a tracking number or anything. We've never had this problem with any other company or individualand gey things shipped/sent here all the time. First off, they insist they can't ship it to our *actual* address because they can't find it in their system (???), so my mom had it sent to my husband at the nearby hotel where he works. Nothing. Never showed up. My mom literally threw money away and is upset that I never got my gift. Box of Maine has never even offered an apology, let alone a refund for a gift that never arrived. In contrast, I ordered a "Paddy Box" from a company here in Ireland, to be sent to Maine for Christmas. I ordered it on 12/14 and it arrived on 12/23. Box of Maine told my mom she needs to order on November 1st next time. There will surely never be a next time. Buyer beware. read more

I ordered a 10 item box for a friend's birthday in another state. It shipped in 24 hours and arrived a couple days sooner than expected. I allowed some extra time as the USPS can have slowdowns. Nice gift of smaller size items especially when giving to a small 2 person household and there is a variety to choose from. Nifty gift idea of items people may not be able to find in other areas. I ordered a birthday box for a friend. The box was delivered unharmed, but the jar of blueberry jam was fermented and leaked all over the box contaminating all the other items. Contacted customer service and the president of the company. None were concerned that they had sold contaminated food and tried to blame it on the shipper. Would not buy again from a company who is not concerned with the safety of their products. Especially food!! read more

Very disappointed... Expedited orders beware!! I ordered 4 boxes of Whoopie Pies from Box of Maine for my daughter's engagement party as her fiancé is from Maine. I specifically ordered from Box of Maine due to their 2-day Prime shipping with delivery on Friday for the Saturday party. I received the pies via USPS on the following Sunday. (They are reporting to me that I didn't choose the Prime shipping option, my husband and I truly believe I did.) I reached out to the company via email the minute they were delivered and called first thing Monday morning when they opened. The pies are unopened, and Box of Maine will not allow for me to return the pies or offer any sort of restitution. I spent close to $200 and now am left with 32 whoopie pies that are not needed nor wanted. While the customer service representative was very professional, I still felt the need to post a non-favorable review on Yelp. Please be aware of possible shipping problems when dealing with this organization. If this situation changes, I will post a second review with hopefully a better outcome. read more

Our neighbors went to Maine. As a gift for looking after their house, they gave us a box. This morning we had the best blueberry waffles with maple syrup. Sooo yummy!
