I am trapped. I bought the tickets. Can someone please reassure me that I can expect to at least receive the tickets and that they will be valid for my venue? I know now it is a bad company but someone please reassure me Thank You

They did deliver the tickets and they were good. After swindling me regarding price. I, and many others hope they are not long on the third party ticket sale outlet list.

I know that they charge 2 or 3 times the original price but do the tickets actually work?

Yes, the tickets worked. and my parents said the seats were ok, not great. After box office refuses to let me mail them back to them,i just kept the tickets and started a claim with my AMex, they initially credited my account pending a reply from… Read more

Somehow, I learned about a children's production presented through their educational wing. I'm not sure if their education & engagement was this strong in years past or perhaps I simply wasn't dialed into their offerings, but that's definitely changing now. We went to see Splish Splash. This was a 50 minute long story about a blue heron and friends who are seeking to repair the moon after it fell into Lake Michigan. There were songs, there was play, and it was highly interactive. The kids--fellow "sailors", along with three of the cast members--learned a song to sing along at various parts of the show. There were several times when the kids were invited onto the "stage" (it was in one of their lab/classroom spaces, so there wasn't a raised stage) to help or participate. It was so well done, and kept the kids engaged. I really loved how this experience was designed. Upon arrival we were checked in and pointed to one of the classroom spaces. I was surprised because I wasn't sure how actors could be safe there, but it was actually a room for the kids to color and read books or play with toys and stuff before we were taken into the room where the performance took place. I've only seen something that was meant to keep kids busy like that before showtime is at Filament Theatre, and we've gone to kids shows at two or three other theaters by now. It was a great touch. This production was specifically geared toward children aged 0-5, which is atypical and felt so special that it was written with the littlest theatergoers. One of the important pre-show reminders was for adults, reminding us that it's a no-shush zone! I'm so excited that one of the most important theaters in the city, and the oldest non-profit theater still in operation in Chicago, is so committed to developing young audiences in an exciting way and meeting them where they're at. We'll be regulars at their Theatre for the Very Young programs.

The costumes were a whole moment! Bright, bold, colorful, and creative--every scene felt like a visual celebration. Just beautiful to watch. And the dancing?? Whew! High-energy, sharp, and so fun. Location is excellent, right next to/under Water Tower Place. Please be aware that parking underneath this building is feasible, but only a few doors are open at Water Tower Place after hours, and there are no signs or pieces of helpful info to alert you to this. It gets a bit crowded, nothing serious, but I think I went to a show on a night when few people had any spatial awareness...you say "excuse me" and nobody sees fit to move...weird! The bar lines seemed pretty long, but the bathroom lines were quick. There are multiple entrances to the women's bathroom, so it was a bit of an awkward "zipper merge" that we all laughed about, but this could've been planned better. None of that is enough to take stars away, because the overall experience is amazing. While watching Titanique (a hilarious, unhinged, brilliant parody-style musical), my friend and I found our seats comfortable and with easy sight lines. We are both very short, but our view was not blocked one bit! The stadium seating here is very intentionally done, so it's hard have a bad view. When you're short, it is rare to have this, so I really appreciated it. Also, the theatre is small enough, so even from "far away," you still feel close to the action!

The casino itself is very clean, well maintained, and the staff are friendly, which definitely makes the experience more enjoyable. There are plenty of machines to choose from across two floors, so there's a good variety depending on what you like to play. One nice perk is that when you sign up for their players club, they give you $20 in free play, which is a great way to get started. That said, the casino is on the smaller side, so it can get very crowded, especially during busy times. Another downside is the area outside. Being downtown, there were some sketchy people lingering outside, which can make it feel a little less safe late at night. As far as the gambling goes, I personally didn't have much luck. After putting about $200 into the slot machines, I didn't even hit a small bonus, which felt like I was robbed. Of course, it's a casino, so wins are never guaranteed, but it would have been nice to see at least something. Typically I lose all but it keeps me playing for a while. It's all in the fun! Overall, not the best casino experience but definitely not the worst either. If you're a gambler and want a casino option right in downtown Chicago, it's worth checking out.

By the 1860s, Chicago's water supply was inadequate for its growing population. Near-shore lake water was too polluted to be used because of runoff from the Chicago River. In 1867, Chesbrough, an engineer designed a water supply tunnel system running nearly 2 miles offshore pumped back to shore through this pumping station. Boyington designed both the pumping works building & Water Tower that houses the standpipe. Both buildings were built in the Gothic Revival style with distinctive yellow Joliet limestone. The buildings look like something out of a fairy tale. The Chicago Water Tower was the most iconic structure that remained standing after the Great Fire of 1871. It was a rallying point for the city. It stood as a symbol for a city determined to rise from its own ashes. Sadly at 9 o'clock on a Friday morning homeless filled most of the benches panhandling with all of their belongings.

In fact, it has witnessed its share of disasters over the years. As the myth has it- the Water Tower wasn't the only structure left standing after the city was ravaged by the Great Fire of 1871 - it is one of Six Structures That Survived the Great Chicago Fire--built-in 1869. As of today, it still stands as the second oldest water tower in America. The tower contained a pipe that stood roughly around 140 feet high. The intent was to pump water from Lake Michigan so it could be used for multiple purposes. One such use was for the Chicago Fire Department. It intended to pump clean water via the water cribs from the lake. despite the intent to provide the fire department with enough water to put out a fire, it wasn't enough to contain the Great Fire of Chicago in 1871. However, there had been stories of the spirits that have haunted the water tower for many years, but that's the case with every old building, isn't it?
