Disclaimer due to various closing reasons I have yet to buy my dream home. Jay hasn't stopped and continues to strive to exceed what I'm looking for. He's patient and compassionate. I'm extremely needy and demanding but Jay is still there to deliver what he promised. I can't wait to share when success comes and I find exactly what I'm looking for. There is no doubt I'm going to recommend Jay to whoever is planning to buy a house. He makes the process a breeze and the less stressful it could be.

I had a week to find a new place after my lease was up, so I called Jay since his office is close by in hopes that he could look for something for me. I gave him a list of things I was hoping for and he sent me my options within 5 minutes... I was expecting to have to wait a few days to look at anything though. Nope, he made time to show me 3 places the first day! I ended up getting the cutest spot in the Heights, exactly where I wanted to live, and he even got the price down a little for me.. I know I probably got lucky, but I credit his hard work and quick communication with myself and the owners... I've also never had a Realtor follow up after the deal was done, but he made sure a week later I was still absolutely loving it and that really meant a lot to me.. thank you Jay!!!

I still find myself here often and in a perfect world, I would have considered living in what I consider one of the few cross sectional areas of the city. Some immediate thoughts come to mind: * It is in the heart of one of the more active areas of the city, directly bordering Sharpstown / Alief, Royal Oaks Country Club (#1), and the International District. It is a close enough to Chinatown and a short drive away from the Memorial area. * This is primarily a business district, which has special privileges over other neighborhoods and is primed with tax incentives for the businesses operating within the area. It's sort of like Energy Corridor, but less of a suburban feel and more of a pothole road riddled, corporate office vibe. * Similarly to the Galleria, there are hotels all over. The last decade has seen tremendous growth in the hotel side (#8) and it doesn't appear to be slowing down. In fact, some of the best hotel stays / deals in the city are going to be in this area. * Some notable places / businesses exist here: Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (#2), Nippan 大道 Daido (#3) one of the only Japanese markets in the city, the legendary karaoke haven of Genji's (#4), two of the city's best Persian spots in Avesta (#5) and Kasra (#6), as well as the Original Marini's Empanada House (#7). __________ (#1) In case I don't write a review for this joint: a big thumbs down on that 3K+ HOA! Which way is better? You decide. (Barbi already has) Westchase is a pretty wonderful district of Houston, food wise, and there are so many great treats and gems and foods over here, and a lot of wonderful Middle Eastern stuff as well as Latin stuff and Asian stuff, including plenty of Vietnamese options since it's very close to Alief, as well as lots of Japanese options because for some reason it's a distinctly Japanese-flavoured part of Houston. Much of the time, the people of Westchase are not the friendliest, including some Westchase-and-nearby Yelpers that send me hate mail and write hate reviews, and the traffic is not the best at the best of times, although the police don't seem to "police" the traffic so for people that like to speed, it's a relaxing area to drive in (except for the awful texting drivers smashing into you at any given time), but it's still easily a five-star neighbourhood by any stretch of the imagination, largely because of the food and the proximity to Chinatown and Vietnamesetown. Management is great. The office staff are supportive and I never worry about getting the help I deserve. Maintenance comes quickly and is efficient. Not the biggest units but the consistent service, the quality of the units, AND the community involvement is untouchable. Family and pet friendly. Sometimes neighbors do dumb things..but that's a part of apartment life. Also it's a good location off of Westheimer. 10 out of 10, highly recommend.

If you're in the area looking for a place that will harass you, retaliate when concerns are…read moreraised, and handle issues unprofessionally, this is the place for you. I experienced ongoing harassment and retaliation from both staff and a tenant during my time here. Whenever I tried to communicate concerns with management, I was met with passive-aggressive behavior and misleading statements. Staff repeatedly claimed certain things were "in the lease" when they clearly were not. I reviewed the lease multiple times and even had others review it as well. The problems started when my upstairs neighbor constantly dropped trash and cigarette debris onto my porch. After I reported it, the situation escalated. The neighbor began making excessive noise late at night and early in the morning often between 3-5 AM. It became a pattern, especially whenever they knew I was home. The stomping and loud movement across the heavy floorboards became constant. I sent videos and multiple complaints to the office, but nothing changed. The lack of sleep became so severe that I started taking antidepressants and was regularly late to work because I could barely rest. I understand apartment living comes with some noise, but management walked both my apartment and the upstairs unit themselves and confirmed the noise could barely be heard during normal walking. That made it obvious the behavior was intentional. What made the situation even more disturbing was discovering the individual causing these issues was part of the maintenance staff. This was someone who had already entered my apartment previously for repairs, which made me feel extremely unsafe knowing they had easy access to my home. Management showed little concern for my safety. After I installed a Ring camera, my physical WiFi cord was cut. My bills were fully paid, and even if they weren't, internet service providers disable service they don't physically cut cords. It felt like retaliation for trying to protect myself. There were other incidents as well. At one point, someone from staff knocked my trash far from my door while I was away. Instead of cleaning it up, they took pictures and walked past it multiple times. The environment became so stressful and unsafe that I eventually had to move back in with my parents before my lease was even up. Despite that, I was not allowed to break my lease and continued paying rent from September through February just to avoid damage to my credit. To add on they waited until the fifth of one month to claim that they don't accept rental assistance checks after a long back and fourth causing there to be fees added due to their lack of communication and honesty which was not at all in the lease! All around there communication and care for tenants is extremely horrible. They seem more focused on punishing tenants than resolving legitimate concerns. They even mailed me what appeared to be a fake deposit refund check, and it arrived well beyond the legal 30-day deadline. Many of the positive reviews appear outdated but are constantly edited to look recent. Several seem connected to staff, friends, or family members. Between the roach issues and the unprofessional, money-driven management, this place operates with a strong bully mentality. For your own peace of mind, I would strongly recommend staying away. #houston #houstonhousing #apartmenthunting #apartmenthuntingtx #houstontx #texasliving
