During the shopping process, we sought clarification from multiple employees regarding the product's functionality and whether it was the best fit for the situation at hand. Rather than receiving informed assistance or competent customer service, we were repeatedly met with lackluster responses, minimal product knowledge, and employees attempting to shift responsibility onto the next staff member instead of resolving the issue professionally. Because no employee appeared capable of providing a clear or confident explanation regarding the product itself, we specifically clarified the return policy prior to purchase. Based upon the representations made at that time, we proceeded with the purchase under the understanding that the item could be returned if it ultimately proved unsuitable. To be clear, the concept of the product itself was innovative and useful, and it did perform the intended task in the short term. We were genuinely glad we found it when we did. However, after practical use, it became apparent that several aspects of the product were incompatible with the circumstances and requirements of the project. As a result, the product needed to be returned. We returned to the store fully compliant with the return process, with the receipt and all required materials necessary for a routine and successful return. At that point, the interaction with Carla, the employee handling the return, became entirely unacceptable. Carla approached the interaction with a belligerent, hostile, and antagonistic attitude that immediately escalated what should have been a standard customer service matter. Her conduct was rude, aggressive, disrespectful, and unprofessional throughout the exchange. Rather than processing the return in accordance with store policy, she made the interaction personal and created unnecessary conflict. Her demeanor reflected a serious lack of professionalism and poor judgment for someone occupying a public-facing customer service position. More broadly, this experience reflected a larger pattern within this location. Numerous staff members, both indoors and outdoors, presented themselves in ways that were physically volatile, aggressive, dismissive, antagonistic, and ill-suited for customer interaction. This is not merely a matter of poor service; it reflects deeper concerns regarding management oversight, staff training, accountability, and workplace culture. Carla's conduct in particular warrants immediate review and corrective action. Employees representing a national retail chain should not be permitted to engage with customers in such an openly hostile and confrontational manner.

The pricing has been increased to new in box amounts and it seems most of the help hate being there, without a Hi or thank yous. I wasn't looking for money out of the till, I wanted to return a few items I bought 2 days ago, there was a very good chance I was going to use that refund to get other items. Instead the store refused the $20 return and in so doing lost out on $60 to $70 I would have spent and even worse, the thousands I would have spent over the next 10 years. Yes I said thousands, because that is what I have spent these past 7 years.

First they quoted us a price and pushed us to get this order in before the price went up by 10% on 12/3/2021. We did this and at the end of the project, we were billed an additional $496.80. We dealt with Peter @ BMC and were treated rudely and unprofessionally. I called Peter several times to inquire about this additional charge, and he told me that he would look into this price difference. He never got back to us and he would not return my phone calls. When the cabinets arrived, BMC only sent one (not young) man to deliver them even though there were many large boxes and two flights of stairs. Our contractor ended up helping with this delivery! When the cabinets were installed, the BMC crew left a mess of sawdust and bags of screws everywhere to be cleaned up. Initially, when we went in to talk with Peter about getting the cabinets, we told him the color we wanted in the kitchen. He was not helpful at all in directing us to the color we wanted and when the cabinets were installed, we had to have them repainted to get the color we wanted for an additional $2,190. I had some small outbuilding roofing and interior wall corrugated projects. I gave the salesperson a small drawing with dimensions. He put together a package of all the different types of flashing I needed along with precut panels. The only small complaint I have is the smallest length they can cut a roofing panel is 42". For interior walls corrugated wainscoting height is usually 36". Small outbuilding roofs (pump shed) can also be smaller. Seems a company this large and professional should be able to do that.
