I had an emergency with my dog who got very ill, throwing up, and wasn't eating. So I took her to Champaign. They wanted to put her down. However here at Animal Family Vet, they let me know that we could prolong her life as long as possible because she is doing so well and what to watch for. And support her as her cancer spreads. They even pointed out things that the other vet missed, such as arthritis in her low back. They gave me medicine and a referred a Chinese herb that helps with her low red blood cells. I will never take my animals anywhere else as long as possible, because I know they truly will do anything possible to help my family.

They did blood work and x-rays but couldn't find anything wrong with her. Her white blood count was up some and they said she had some kind of calcium in her blood. Charged us a fortune for antibiotic, eye drops, and a pill to simulate her appetite. Husband finally got through on the 9th but they couldn't get her in till the next week. I was at an appointment in Indy and my husband told me this when I stopped for a drink. That was unacceptable to me and I tried to call them but no answer so I called Brown Vet and they let me bring her in on an emergency visit.
