The last thing was my neighbor's dog, they had no answers to his bound up bowels and just said "it should pass" after an exam and x-rays, etc. So we got some diatomaceous earth, from googling a treatment. It worked, but the vet trip was useless! Except we knew what to attack. My next debacle was I took both my dogs for grooming, and was told they needed shots updated, but it was only bordatella so I consented. When I paid, it seemed too High (again!) and Cooke had added an exam for each, $24x2, which I had not been told was necessary MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE ITEMIZED BILL BEFORE YOU PAY!! THESE "vets" knew I had taken my dogs elsewhere for primary care, and did this to me! HERITAGE WILL RIP YOU OFF! zero stars No one can afford this these days, I guess all the massive buildings have a big mortgage payment, is my guess. Utilities too!

My dog was boarded at Arf Arf for one month while I worked in Terre Haute. When I picked her up she…read morewas extremely sick and had dirreaha. I drove 8 hours with a sick dog who eventually pooped all over the back seat. My dog is a house dog which I informed them yet my dog was left outside from 7am to about 2 or 3pm in hott June. Her legs were severely eaten by something and she was apparently attacked by another dog and had a skin deep wound on her head where the hair was no longer visible. I was so disheartened to see my dog in this condition. On top of that I asked the owner to bathe my dog the day before I picked her up because she was so dirty from being outside her coat was very discolored. The owner told me that he would "wash the dirt off of her" which I appreciated. When I went to pick her up I was charged $65 for grooming that I didn't request. First off my dogs type doesn't require grooming and if a bath is $65 I feel like I should have been informed before providing such a costly service. They also gave her a bowel treatment without my permission which is why she was so sick and pooping everywhere. My experience was not a good one. The owners were kind people but business is business and my dog is my baby and I entrusted her to them and they did not provide quality service. If I could give The Paw Spa 10 stars, I would!…read more We were able to book an appointment easily and, from the moment I walked in with my dog, Boo, we were welcomed by their friendly staff. Because they wanted our experience to be a good one, Boo and I met his dog groomer, Brianna, & I was given a choice of whether Boo would leave with a bow tie (cute!) or a bandana (adorable!), or a choice of which of 4 colognes I'd prefer for Boo (if any). The woman at the front took thorough notes on what Boo was like, offered a nail clipping and filing!!!, tooth brushing, and anal gland expression (we passed on this). Best of all, they listened to me when I said that Boo is new to town and blind, and we'd prefer if he could go through the process quickly. Two hours later, he was done! When we checked out, the woman at the front asked if there was anything else they could do for us! Wow! I've never felt so heard, and best of all, Boo came back home not only looking amazing & adorable in his new bandana but he was happy! He's never happy after grooming, & it showed me that he had as amazing an experience as I did! The Paw Spa is amazing & I highly, highly recommend it to anyone who loves their dog & wants a wonderful experience!

This place is absolutely horrendous and the animals in their care are kept in horrible conditions…read more They have snakes with open wounds, keep their large reptiles in tiny, dirty enclosures with no enrichment, the enclosures are all filled with fences and skin from the reptiles shedding (and is very clear these encloses haven't been cleaned in months), they're letting multiple leopard geckos live in the same tanks, neglecting snakes with mouth rot, and ragging to care for sick an injured animals. Please don't support this place because this is so inhumane and neglectful. Animals deserve better care than this. You can tell the people who work here and own this ship have no love in their hearts for these critters. Report them and go somewhere else that actually takes care of the animals in their care!

Second time to the EFRC - it's been about 10 years since my first visit and decided it was time to…read morego back! It was a really nice day and quite packed. Very different from the last time I went and no one was there. Seems the word has spread about this unique rescue in Indiana. Our tour was just under an hour. Some laws have changed and you can no longer go up to the cage to see the animals better. I understand this is to protect people! For that reason, most photos won't turn out well. I'm not sure if they have as many cats as they did, but I still enjoyed learning about them and spending an afternoon there. Would like to go back for one of the night time stays to hear the roars!
