I seriously hate this place and will literally go anywhere else to get gas. I'd walk 10 miles with a can before I'd go to this gas station. Not only are the workers rude, the difference between their cash and credit price is flat-out ridiculous. I prefer when gas stations have no difference in price at all, but I'll begrudgingly accept a 10-30 cents difference. When it's beyond that and approaching $1.00 or more, the establishment should be out of business. And FYI: they treat debit cards the same. Do not go to this gas station. If I could give negative stars I would. It's 2019. We're all using credit cards. Some of us love the convenience of self checkout when we go shopping. So naturally, paying at the pump is what we love about today's technology. BUT WHEN YOU CHARGE ALMOST A DOLLAR MORE A GALLON FOR CREDIT VERSUS CASH THEN YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED AND RUN OUT OF BUSINESS. People, STOP GOING HERE. Don't give in to their tactics. Don't let them make anymore money. Go somewhere else. This is the lesson they should learn. It's unbelievable that this is even legal. I know for a fact that credit card companies charge between 2 to 5 cents for their transactions- so this place is pocketing around 80 cents per gallon per transaction. This guy is a Thief! Pulled into fill up based on Signage stating pricing at $2.45 for regular. At the pump we discovered that credit was $3.43. Outrageous! $0.98 fee per gallon for credit card. I hope this is illegal, I will call Suffolk County Consumer Affairs tomorrow. Driver's BEWARE and avoid. A few blocks down is a station charging $2.49 cash or credit. I NEVER give negative reviews -- being in retail I know far too many people are more likely to give a negative one 9/10's of the time vs taking the time to give a good one.... but I couldn't not give one after my experience tonight I kept trying to give this station a pass.... but enough is enough. I only came here because it's the closest BP near my house and I use the free rewards program with BP... There is ALWAYS an issue when I have gone here in the past year. Tonight was the icing on the cake. I have a Jeep Wrangler... takes a little bit of gas to get a full tank.... well forget about that ever happening at this location. Almost without fail, the gas pump dispenser handles don't work... you have to constantly baby it, if you go too fast they'll click and stop dispensing gas. Like seriously? Just to get $5 of gas it'll take like 5 mins. Frustrating, extremely. What really did it for me was tonight. Came in to the shop, [tried] used Apple Pay, has NEVER been an issue there before. I have been working in retail for 16 years, also a retail store manager... not like I'm new to the game of a register. The tendering system denied 3 different cards (one being my debit card).... guy says nothing wrong with his system. Call my bank, and they said there wasn't even an attempt or a decline on my card -- meaning it was his point of sale program or register not working... the banker flat out told him it's not my card... I ask is there any trouble shooting he could do? What does he do... but a blank stare at me like I'M an idiot. Looks VERY annoyed because I'm taking away his precious time.... like seriously. Do your job. Didn't even greet me when I came in. I asked how his night was (again retail for 15 years I naturally talk to cashiers......) and NOTHING. Not even a nod, smile, glance. Nothing. Other than he wasn't at all accommodating and LOST my sale to the 7-11 south of sunrise, he was beyond rude. As a retail manager... my jaw dropped at this experience tonight and I refuse to ever go back. Just makes me wonder just how much business has been lost due to things like this that could simply be avoided.... management and ownership really needs to reevaluate a few simple and key things.
