It's not Generation 3 and those became the norm for QT beginning in 2012. This is QT store #766. It's popular and busy because of its location. It's situated roughly halfway between Atlanta and Athens. I visited this location to fill up on my way from Atlanta to nearby Winder to play golf at The Chimneys Golf Course. I was a little surprised at how busy this place was on a Saturday morning before 8am. It was really busy, inside and out. While here, I saw two different meetups, one of which looked like an import scene meetup. An import scene meetup before 8am on a Saturday? Maybe they were headed somewhere. The gas station has 20 pumps. This one even has a separate filling area for semis (truck diesel). I usually only see those at QTs off an interstate. Like other QTs in metro Atlanta, maybe they should build a new, bigger one nearby and close this one down. This one might be too small for the area now. It looks like there's enough land for them to expand on the current lot or build across the highway(s). It'd be nice if they created access to this QT from 316. As of right now, if you're on 316, you have to turn at the light and enter from Winder Hwy. All in all though, an OK QT. And I'm a fan of QT.

It is a…read morevery busy store with lots of traffic, but there is ample parking around the store for running inside, and they have plenty of fuel pumps, so on stops, I need fuel; there is not ever any wait despite how busy this location is. After dark, the parking lot and fuel pumps are very well-lit, and it is a safe place to stop. My wife will often stop here late when she works a late shift at one of the local medical facilities on Jesse Jewell, and she has not ever had any issues or felt unsafe. The store has large, clean restrooms, and the store is well laid out so you can find what you need and get in and out quickly. Inside the store, the aisles are wide, and despite lots of people, you never feel crowded or rushed. QT offers a huge selection of different fountain drinks, frozen drinks, and hot coffee. In addition, they offer hot food items, pizza, roller grill items, and all the snacks you can wish for. The staff are always friendly and helpful if you find something needing stocking or replenishment. They work hard to keep the trash cleaned up and the store moving. The cashiers run very quickly and are normally operating two POS terminals to keep the lines moving. There is seldom any wait. When using Apple Pay, I can get in and out in less time than it takes at most other locations.
