Okay, being a country pub I wouldn't expect a huge selection of beers on tap, and they certainly don't have that, however I found that the service was quite good, and that atmosphere quite relaxing as well. There was even a rather nice beer garden down the side, which also added to the atmosphere of the place. Sure, it wasn't too crowded, but that sort of did have something to do with it being mid-afternoon. Still, it was a nice pub nonetheless.

They menu changes every now and again but they always make sure to have at least one vegetarian meal on there. Husband informs me that the schnitzels are almost always moist and yummy this time no difference. We love the beer battered fries which are moreish and delectable! I have the sweet potato fries and a haloumi stack. Some days they have salad and veg bar and some days you pick salad or veg with your meal. Dessert was a Belgian chocolate cup which for $5 was amazing! They do takeaway as well which we take advantage of too. We will continue coming back her for many more years to come.

Yeah, I actually quite liked it, particularly since I discovered that the staff here were really helpful. In fact this is one of those pubs that does have quite a lot of charm, and the front bar is set up pretty good as well. Look, while it doesn't have the best selection of tap beers, it does make up for that in quite a lot of other ways. Yeah, this pub was pretty cool actually.

We walked into a lovely large open space, with a tranquil pond in the corner. The waitress could not have been nicer setting us up next to the pond and adding an extra chair for us to attach the booster high chair to. There was a salad and veg bar that looked quite nice so I opted to have wedges and salad and veg bar. The reason this pub is getting a 3 star review is I paid EXTRA to have salad and veg bar and 10 minutes after getting my wedges they packed the salad and veggies up so I only got one tiny side plate for my money. Not very impressed. The staff and venue are worth the 3 stars and I think if they hadn't packed up the bar it would have been a 5 star review!

Still, as a pub, it did have some charm about it, though in a way, it still felt a little tacky, particularly for my tastes. I went for a serve of spring rolls with veggies and hubby had his stock standard schnitzel with veggies. They came in your normal styrofoam takeaway boxes. Spring rolls were yummy if a little soggy and the sour cream to go with them was an odd selection. The reason they have lost a star is - riddle me this? If you are preparing a vegetarian meal - why oh why would you put bacon in the potatoes? I ate half of the potatoes before I noticed too so I may be stuck on the toilet tomorrow! Luckily I don't think I actually ate any bacon. I'm a little annoyed but the sheer quantity of the rest of the food more than made up for it.
